We (Dh & I) have only recently started saving with them (credit union). Yeah we are definitely open to other options but cos we are not actually ready yet, there’s nothing much to do now asides reading and learning from others first hand experience(s).

We actually know someone that got her deposit through the credit union so it was a referral.

It’s the Greenwich & Bexley Credit Union.

Lexusgs430:

What terms and conditions are attached to the loan?

Have you weighed other options?.....

That bros is old school truly cheesy cheesy cheesy #runningaway.

wonlasewonimi:

Thank you jare. I have account with all the banks too but the ease of banking with these new banks cannot be compared. I bought something online one time like that and hsbc blocked my account. I was on the phone with their fraud dept for over 2hrs trying to prove that I made the purchase. Starling would have just sent me a one time password via the app to confirm transaction. Leave bobo erico alone to be enjoying his old school money grin grin grin

Despite the fact that at least one person died on an ig live video and 78 others have been reported dead, Sanwoolu still addressed us today and stated that people were injured but he didn’t acknowledge the death toll, they’ve honestly taken us for granted for too long. Tinubu is reportedly on the run atm. Heard his jet landed in France some hours ago.

Wallabies, Never in my life have I had free flow of tears like this.

What I’m happy about is, now we have a list of politicians that we will never let their children back into the country, when we take over the government. The sins of the father must be visited in the children.

Thank you very much. I used them yesterday to test run and transfer was done to the naija account almost immediately after they verified my identity.

LagosismyHome:

Yes I used them 3 times although each time my bank card rejected the payment. I tried multiple banks cards and took the risk of bank transfer to get it to work

Yeah quite pricey. I’m just wondering how they evade persecution since it’s illegal.

LagosismyHome:

Went to check it out 14.99 for 1kg ........ someone must really love the skin to pay that price for 1kg . Goat usually less than £5 per kg so this not just double but triple the price

Well Samis online sells goat meat with skin on their website. It’s smoked though. Duno if that applies.
Lexusgs430:
**** POINT OF CORRECTION ***

Back to our goat meat with skin discussion...... I just asked my Oga at the Top, how this skinned goat meat, made it's way into the pot of soup.......

I was made to understand it was a sacrificial goat, that was killed and roasted (the 9ja way), from a farm far away in the United Kingdom....... cheesy

You’ve said it all with your first line bro.

nihilistjnr:

if you are here legally, it's difficult to see how you would regret your decision.
Whatever your level or qualification in life, it's highly likely that you're doing far better here than in an equivalent position in Nigeria, in financial terms, as well as quality of life metrics.

The only caveat is if you enjoyed political patronage in Nigeria, or were part of the ruling class - in what case, you wouldn't even be here.

Thank you.

I doubt if it’s applicable in uk but I’ll leave the question for the seniors in the house to respond.

Congrats!

Hello everyone, first post on this thread even though I've been following through from the very first page. Great job everyone is doing here!

I have a question on this driving topic please... of what use is a Driver's Abstract from FRSC in the UK for insurance and maybe licensing purposes? I'm aware that for Canada migrants, your Abstract is reckoned in determining your driving history and is useful to reduce insurance premium payable. I would like to know if this could apply in the UK as well? Tx

Thank you bros. I didn’t take any(paid) class. Hubby started teaching me since feb 2019 when I got here. Had naija intl license, used that until it was bout to expire then I applied for the uk learners license. Got that in Oct, did theory test afterwards, failed once, passed on second attempt. Then booked driving test and the rest is history.

Congratulations. How many classes did you take?
