You have to wait until you get an email confirmation for your appointment which will most likely be next year tbh.(I paid since May and I’m still waiting). They are currently attending to April applicants. girlsupersonic: Hello house, I applied for my e-passport online in the Uk. Do i just wait to get an appointment or head to the office. What is the next step after online payment since the walk in I was planning to do has been cancelled. |

Alright. Noted. kaylov12: I beg to differ, any license outside the UK license is INTERNATIONAL. Just like I will say I have international work experience in my field as a Nigerian. I believe making a special driving license by FRSC is only a means for income generation. My brother moved to UK from Saudi Arabia and used the normal license with no reprimand, why should the normal Nigeria driving license be inferior if there were no ulterior motives? PS I am using normal license. |

This. (Inserts the thumbs up emoji). Apt. fatima04: From what have read the normal naija licence qualifies has international and if that's presented you get your insurance etc.
Thinking about it haven't heard anyone being asked to present either for insurance or sth else. So it could just be one of those grey areas |

International license (which is valid for one year) is required if the person wants to drive on arrival to the Uk. The normal naija license is not allowed/recognised. fatima04: From memory and other people's experienceon the other thread, I believe the normal naija licence allows you to drive in the UK and no need to obtain the special international licence |

Oh I didn’t experience this as the payment process was seamless after my card was approved. Can I ask if you’re trying to make payment in the uk with a naija card? If yes, probably the site wouldn’t allow? Maybe try registering a different card? Sorry I couldn’t help further. Chreze: Hi Mimzy, so my wife got a reply that the card has been approved. But she still tried the card and after clicking “make payment”. The window disappears and goes back to the “entering of card details” page again. She has tried different web browsers, but still same issue. She has also sent mails to complain about the experience twice but still no response. Do you have any idea on how to go about this.
Anyone had this kind of experience? |
Travel › Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Mimzyy(f): 1:57pm On Jun 26, 2021 |
I believe you need to register your card first (if you haven’t done so) before you can use it on the site. At least, that’s how I did mine. You’ll submit the card details with proof of id, then you’ll get an email like the one below when the card has been approved for usage. P.S I used my debit card. The website also classifies/addresses all cards as credit cards from my experience. Chreze: Happy weekend guys. Please anyone recently paid for passport renewal. My wife has been trying to pay on the innovation site and it’s not accepting her debit card. There are mixed information on if it’s just credit card that is accepted or both debit card.
Please anyone can help. At first I thought it was network or site is down, but it’s over 3days now.
Also if it’s credit card, is there anyway one without a credit card can make payment? Cos we don’t have one at the moment and we are not in England.

Hi there, kindly permit me to ask how long after you made payment did you get an email inviting you for biometrics? Zdig: Hiya, I just did Biometric Capture on Tuesday 8/06/2021. I applied and made payment October 2020. Passport to be posted to me via Royal Mail, so fingers crossed. My experience at the High Commission was surprising; well organized and no delays, was in and out in 1 hour. There is also the Fast Track provision now, just cost £100 more. All the details of requirements and process are here:http://www.nigeriahc.org.uk/. Cheers |

Good afternoon all, I need your input please. I applied and paid for passport renewal for my six years old and a fresh application for a baby since the 6th of this month. The only email I received was the payment acknowledgment.
I haven’t received any other confirming appointment date & time. I’ve also tried to call the number on their website but the call just keeps bouncing back.
What else can I do please ?
