I am smelling a certain “Di Mateo” of chelsea 2012 in this CIV coach…sacking a head coach and having a makeshift coach going all the way to the semifinals..guys trust me CIV will edge DRC…the best team to play them in the Final is Nigeria…if they meet SA/CPV its gonna be an easy win for them

And how many goals has this "energy and presence" provided? I think we are the least scoring side in the competition at this stage, with the highest number of big chances missed. A striker's job is to score, not to be present and energetic.

It was in AFCON 2019 that Ighalo was banging in goals left and right even without any "energy and presence". That wasn't too long ago.

oga if Nigeria enter final, abeg you will have to delete this post…if ighalo scoring 100goals and we couldn’t qualify to the final, abeg let him carry his go put one side…if osimhen presence and strength takes us to the final abeg it’s enough

I hope you guys can see what the foreign born players are doing for us at AFCON. Now we can finally die that silly take
bros chill first oo, let them win the trophy before you ask Nigerian fans to “die the silly take” ooo..if we jah for semifinal to 3rd place, the anti-foreign base player fans here will surface their heads oo

I kept screaming "Osimhen don tire" at my viewing center sotey people come dey look me somehow. Lol.

Osimhen himself knew he gassed out around the 70-75th minutes and could barely carry himself around the pitch and yet he insisted on staying on and jeopardizing the team's attacking chances.

Even after he was stretchered off and the coach wanted to substitute him, Osimhen used his "big star power" to force the coach to let him back on.

This is very terrible behavior from Osimhen. He probably thinks of himself as the Messiah and main character of the team while in actual fact, he is the most easily replaceable player there. It's not like he has been banging in the goals anyways.

I feel very bad for Moffi and Iheanacho.

oga he didn’t use any big star power, you people should stop looking for a way to rubbish that guy’s patriotism…he cant shut jpes up by refusing substitution…im sure the coach asked if he could continue and he said yea…he did not use any big star power kan kan…shebi dey later substituted him, why didn’t he use the big star power to refuse substitution

NFF Should be looking at the side of this Angola coach , he is one of the best i have seen in this tournament .gave his best , even brought the best from unknown names ...JPES is clueless ... what we are enjoying now is the individual brilliance of our players ...
oga the team is playing to jpes tactics/formation …nothing like individual brilliance

Osimhen was not at his best today, maybe due to fatigue from cameroon’s game..hope im right sha..his major undoing is not finding the back of the net

i like peseiro but then he should be flexible..his substitution is good but too late and to onesidedly repetitive..
we need an iheanacho instead of an Aribo, we need a moffi instead of an onuachu…he should stop allowing opponents grow into the game in the dying minutes, we can not always be lucky ooo..

The last time out it took a weak Tunisia to boot Nigeria out
Does Tunisia look like a southern African team?
Sports / Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by minfelix(m): 1:59pm On Feb 02
SA made mistake sacking Shakes Mashaba..he was already building momentum of a psychological edge over Nigeria..if we catch this SA wey Rwanda flog 2-0, na correct afolenu we go give them…guys just sit and relax watch us go all the way..one leg Algeria, Tunisia,Morocco will find a way to send us packing.
A poor super eagles team will still beat this Angolan side….i remember in CHAN 2018 when we faced them in Quarter final with Salisu yusut as coach..them start gra gra, we still pursue them go house

Its just how sensitive/delicate these stages can be, and thats what is putting small caution in me…nobody believed keshi team tearing Mali apart 4-1 in semifinal, although we were confident of breezing past them since we took out CIV.
As far im concern No southern African team can stop us in an Afcon crucial knockout stage(Mozambique,Angola,SA,Namibia,Madagascar,Zambia, zimbabwe,Malawi) Taaah!.
I can fear North Africa/West Africa but u see all these COSAFA people..abeg forget them.
I understand that Afcon standards has been raised but then…forget jareee..
It will take a strong rival like (CIV,Sen,Cam,Gha,Alg,Egy) to stop a red hot 9ja side.

omeruo is an average defender. 2018, he escorted messi till he scored against uzoho. 2017 against Zambia, an ancient mbesuma bullied him to scored in a WCQ when he couldn't control a simple volley

now wey u don spot out matches he fumbled oya do well to mention the matches he did well.
Against CIV in 2013 he man-marked a red hot drogba preventing him from seeing a goal.
Shey its messi u are using to measure omeruo abi? how many of our defenders fit mark messi..
2010 enyeama was our savior(all the defenders just dey jonez)
2014 how many defenders hold messi

That’s why I laugh when someone here say we have not played stronger opponents, we all thought Equitorial Guinea was soft until they walloped both Ivory Coast and Guinea Bissau. It has taken Guinea a team who beat us just before Afcon to send a stubborn Equitorial Guinea out.
Patriotically i forsee a Nigeria v Gui Final.
on the negative side it may annoyingly be
SA vs Mali(Tufiakwa!!!🤮)

Camerounians are saying on social media that the times we've beaten them in AFCON we have failed to make it to the finals.

whenever we beat cameroon we are always reaching the semifinals and then meeting North African teams who eventually Knocks us to the 3rd place play off matches…thats why im psychologically happy morocco is out..trust me if we had met them in the semifinals that curse will still be there..so lets see if we can get past Angola wether the curse will resurface against CPV/SA in the semifinals

Teams like CIV,Mali,SA,DRC,Gui will be praying for Nigeria to be kicked out since our high Ranked peers are out. If Angola wins(Godforbid 🤦🏽‍♀️) the remaining countries will fancy their chances of winning…Like this now they all see Nigeria as the biggest threat in this tournament.
CIV will not wanna meet 9ja
SA will not wanna meet 9ja
Mali will not wanna meet 9ja
Capeverde will not wanna meet 9ja(Although those ones will be priding that they are the portugal of africa, so bring on 9ja😃)
these 4teams has seen shege in the hand of Nigeria in the last 10years
