Napoleon55: The way some of una dey rate this Morocco team sha, they will surely won't let them have a back to back Cinderella run at the world cup.
As good as the super eagles were in the '90s,they almost struggled to make it back to back second round, so were the other African teams who previously had a good outing before,Cameron,Senegal and Ghana.
Morocco may come out of the group stage, but that's it.
Senegal is in a difficult group, but I expect them to come out of group stage, possibly to R16.
Egypt should come out of their group also.
Ghana will have to work hard to proceed to R32
CIV to R32 also
All the African teams have at least one team they can defeat to put them in position to advance to R32 as 3rd best except for South Africa and Tunisia. But if South Africa can use half of the strength they use to play Super Eagles and play those teams, they might actually top their group.
I'm predicting one team to go beyond the R32 and do well, possibly from one of the powerhouse. Bro no b me rate this Morocco ooo😂😂…Remember Fifa rate Morocco 8th in the world ooo, so on paper they should sweep scotland and Haiti one corner…Morocco may end up at R16….they wont smell that semifinal they reach the last time… in the 90’s our golden super eagles did a back to back R16 na….usa 94 and france 98 |

ChrisKels: What a dumb take. Which yeye mistake? Do you realize that was a reflex save from a close range shot? You expected him to put direction on a reflex save? What were the defenders doing, especially the one who lost the ball and was slow to track back? Dude quit talking football because you suck at it. everybody sha wan form aggressive and aggravating response…..baba calm down, i blame defenders largely for that goal shaq, however we have also seen keepers with reflex save parrying close range shot to corner kick safety |

ThunderFireAgba: Just watch how they will start Hailing this Arthur Okonkwo guy if he manages to save 1 penalty. Forgetting Nwabali that has been there since 2022. Same way we fogot about Uzoho,Akpeyi,Ezenwa after Nwabali surfaced and started saving us in penalty situations….if Arthur saves a penalty and we eventually win a game or even lift the unity cup, then the hype is worth it. If you are not on same level with Enyeama, na just penalty heroics we need from you as super eagles fan to start glorifying your name…. God save Enyeama that he was an undisputed and topnotch safe hand both on penalties and all rounder, Aiyenugba springing up and saving penalties was almost coming into the fray to give us a mental competition with him and Enyeama |

Kog45: Oga Arthur Okonkwo wey i dey follow steady steady for past three seasons need to tell me he is better than Uzoho...for me not to compare him with Nwabali and Okoye says a lot,i just hope he grow like Okoye. Aside penalty heroics, no b swear i dey always see for Nwabali on this thread. “Nwabali has to be careful, he is too over confident” “Nwabali foolishness almost made Lesotho Equalize” “Nwabali getting unnecessary cards for time wasting” “Nwabali this and that.. oga make we no lie, we all basically love Nwabali here when it comes to PK heroics, aside that una dey swear for am steady for here. As for your Uzoho, lethim continue to prove himself in Omoni Oboli Nicosia league, i will prefer to play in Championship that wasting time in one obscure league…Give Arthur same game time you gave Uzoho and lets see wether he will not start to drag starting shirt with Nwabali and Okoye |

Nigeria Madagascar Tanzania Guinea Bissau
Chelle,Osimehn,Lookman and colleagues should know that only 1team qualifies from this group since Tanzania is one of the co-host, Madagascar and Guinea Bissau have beaten us in the last 7yrs Madagascar 2-0 Nigeria (Afcon 2019) Nigeria 0-1 GNB (Afconq 2021 qualifiers)
Those two nations are afcon worthy nations especially Madagascar…..MAKE WE NO UNDERRATE THEM OOOOO….we must get 9points from all our home matches oooooo.
I was really praying we find ourselves in a group where none of the countries is a co-host so we can have small hope of qualifying with someone😅😅…GNB have recent afcon experiences same as Madagascar….. Lets just continue the fine form from the last afcon and dispatch all this small small giant killers…Chelle flog Tanzania for the last afcon though it was a close win

Predator87: How can we get the likes of Eze and Oliseh when we can't even get the likes of Nwaneri and Ugochukwu? You need to stop making excuses for the useless NFF and Ibrahim Gausau. Even Pinnick with his mango head was able to get the likes of Aina, BASSEY, Iwobi etc to play for Nigeria. Players we still rely on today but that useless alhadji cannot even get low hanging fruit. What does that tell you? Our infrastructure is rubbish. Only 1 caf approved stadium, No training facilities, no development plan, no grassroots plan this is the state of Nigeria football today. That makes us unattractive to anyone. Until we fix our NFF and reform it we will continue to lose out. A time will come when the likes of Morocco and Drc will be beating us home and away without breaking a sweat because we lack quality. But yea o keep making excuses for incompetent people. That's a Nigerian tradition. lbrichman2: We actually have the coach and the players now Many people forget that even with all their gimmicks, Morocco couldn't beat us in 120 mins, it was Chuks penalty that gave them the advantage If Chuks had scored, we would've won that game..
I don't see any African country beating us without sweating for it The only concern I have now is Okoye I am still not sold, so confidence level is around 70%
If and when Nwabali returns, my confidence will go back to 100% Chelle and his crew need to work on Penalties…Nwabali ensured we qualified for the world cup and afcon final with brilliant saves but Simon,Bassey,Ajayi,Chukwueze,Bashiru all came and ensured we no go smile… under 2months we cried bitterly twice😭😂😅 November worldcup qualifiers penalty heartbreak January Semifinal penalty heartbreak |

lbrichman2: I know it's just a mistake, but it's one of the reasons I'm still not sold on Okoye..
Yes I agree he should start as long as Nwabali remains in Limbo, but I pray Nwabali sorts out his club situation fast and sends Okoye back where he belongs abeg.. if defenders slowpoke mofos these are the kinda goals you will see, a keeper made a beautiful stop at a goal bound shot, no defender around to clear ball put to safety….on Okoye’s part he should have parried the ball to corner safety |

FiveFootNinja: To be honest, even that DRC game was a fluke. Those DRC boys actually got off very lucky. Despite how terrible, fatigued and physically unprepared we were because of that little strike before the game, we almost still beat them. They couldn't score a clean goal against a shambolic Nigerian side for 120 mins.
Just imagine if Arokodare hadn't fluffed that header. It won't even get to extra time. And that's with us still playing the rubbish we played.
I said it from the beginning that the strike was going to affect us in that game, especially since we already went 120 mins against Gabon barely 3 days prior.
Morocco own be say Dem get 12th man for field during the semifinals against us (that bad belle Ghanaian ref). There were so many opportunities we had to punish Morocco with counters when they were pressing on in the first half, but the Ghanaian referee no wan hear say we carry ball enter Morocco's half. I never see how bad it will get to…the only result of our bad form as a country will be losing out on qualification to tournaments via penalty shootout or head to head World cup 2006(lost the ticket on head to head to Angola) Afcon 2012(lost the ticket to Guinea following a last minute equalizer in Abuja) Afcon 2015(the only afcon qualifiers we lost ticket fair and square and ending in a bad position on the qualifiers table) Afcon 2017(lost ticket to Egypt after CHAD withdrew making us ineligible to qualify as second best team) WC 2022(Lost ticket to Ghana on away goal rule) WC 2026(Lost ticket to DRC on penalties) Super eagles cant be humiliated by any african team, if they like they should scout all the host of angels and put in their team…super eagles will always be a dreaded brand for the next 100yrs,if una like put Tinubu as NFF president |

Napoleon55: Scouting is about the simplest thing any one can do,even the dumbest person from this thread can do,even you can identify most of our foreign born players across Europe from the comfort of your home,How much more professionals, coaches and agents paid to do the job?
Getting them to play for us goes beyond just scouting and identifying them, how about those players willingness to commit to our course? This is not about shielding the football governing body for their ineptitude.
For the bolded, As big as Nigerian football culture we are,do we really need quantity or quality talents that can compete against the best and win us trophies? We should be aiming not just to qualify for world cup but to play in the semifinals, or possibly win it. Only true quality talents can take you that far.
Getting the very best,as the likes of Olise, Saka,Mbape, Eze,etc. is what makes the acquisition seems difficult for them. Let the rest keep scouting and infusing every tom, dick and ekuke players into their team,in NIGERIA we need quality players that will later go on to win APOTY and be outstanding in the team, players like Iwobi,Aina,Bassey,Lookman,Victor Moses…not carpenters up and down….Since 2000 so far its been only Nigeria,Mali and Gabon who has players that switch from europe to africa to have won the APOTY Nigeria-Lookman (former England u21) Mali- Federick Kanoute (former France u21) Gabon-Aubameyang. (former france u21) Im not defending NFF oo, but if they must scout and bring anyone let it be the quality of Saka,Eze,Olise(offcus it will be difficult to get these quality to play for us, as some of them know they can break into top european teams of their dreams, but las las na we still lure top qualities like VicMo, Lookman etc |

We really messed up if we had avoided that loss against Benin and maybe play out a draw….our second Uyo draw against Zimbabwe would not have meant anything cos we would now be ending the group with 18points and superior goal difference over SA in last group game….we had no business losing to Benin |
