osimehn is our number one man anytime any day and he is the Goal man for the National team the stats are there no body even the blind can see that
But playing in Turkish league is a bit diminishing no matter how you paint it for example see Lookman now with the way he is going might win next APOTY except maybe morroco or Senegal do something exceptional at the wc but you see playing Turkish league limits you to lots of great height
Exactly brooo….although sha lets still cut him some slacks, since we all know the situation that hindered his potential big moves and relegated him to Turkey…Lookman almost went down that drain but thank God Athletico Madrid rescued what would have been another yeye move to turkey

Things i wish for our 2 best players in super eagles (Lookman and Osimhen) now in their prime are:
1. Play at the world cup
2. Win Uefa Champions league or at worst play at the semifinal/Final of UCL
3. Win the Afcon
4. Play regularly in top clubs of top leagues
Lookman is current playing for a top club in a top league
Osimhen once played for Napoli(also a top clup) in a top league, and now currently playing for a top club Galatasaray but in weak league….
Osimhen will surely play in a world class club/league….

We are 9ja, we need to uphold the pride and soccer bragging right….Just Mancity signing Semenyo and Totenham signing Kudus we no dey hear word for Ghanaians mouth again😀

Knucklehead, FiveFootNinja, relax, aint nobody’s scared of your stature or your syntax,
Your whole style sits dead-center on the meter of AVERAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEE, and that’s me being NICE most times.

Your mind so heavy like a brick, but not solid (just dense).
You talk loud but your bars don’t hit like mine.
Boy, you're sweeter than a hook with no punchline.
Your whole verse looks shaky, like your bars aren't proof.
You're lagging, your brain wheel spinning that rainbow of death, and even your ideas sound out of breath.

See, you slow in the booth, slow in the proof,
and slow in the truth.
three meanings layered, and all of them YOU.
That’s S-L-O in all caps "
Slow in thinking,
Slow in bars,
Slow like you're still waiting on an app update from eons ago.

Your thoughts drop with buffering,

Moniker FiveFootNinja? Please.
Five foot what? Five foot tall or just Five foot timid?
Your name hitting harder than your bars bro,
and your bars never hit to begin with.

Bro, you spit your verse, cool, but where’s the stealth? Where’s the threat?
but let’s be real: if mediocrity ever had a sound,
It’d rhyme exactly like what you did.
As soon as you spit, all the men lean back like:
“Here comes that

even the echo gets bored and don’t want to join in.

I’m Genghis Khan with the pen, Ninja.

but its somehow fishy that NFF has not announced any friendly match….They must be really placing their hopes on FIFA verdict going in our favour oo….or maybe they are having this “if” thought of, if we lose the FIFA case we do not have any tournament to play till september Afconq, so no need fixing any friendly…on a flip side, its possible many world cup Participating countries from (Europe,Asia,N/America,S/America) will be approaching NFF for a friendly and its likely they are keeping them on hold pending after FIFA verdict.
cos we are strongest african team likely not to feature at the world cup, many of the those big teams will wanna face us for a friendly

But not on the UCL table. I can live with that 😁

Omo those players don't play on Osimhen's level at all. Gundogan was more of a Man City spy and fanboy than a Galatasaray player and captain yesterday. Thank God it was a respectable scoreline. I really needed Osimhen to score tho. That one don go Beyen.
Ahh omo Europe big clubs really do us strong team on this Osimhen issue ooo…eehnn wetin sef, from 18yrs to now 27yrs(9yrs space) our poster boy and second all time best Nigerian striker has not tasted football in the biggest tournament knockout stages (UCL semifinal/Final or even World cup group stage/Knockout stage) though he played some good quality football in Italy(Napoli, winning their league) omo this is so unfair to Osimhen meehnn…the guy deserve to playin one of :PSG,CHELSEA,BARCA,MADRID,JUVENTUS,MANCITY,LIVERPOOL,BAYERN, MANUTD,ARSENAL…..Napoli is good, but they are still not that heavyweight we need Osimhen to play for…..see as 30’s dey stare at the young man now🤦🏽‍♀️

South Africa might be able to scrape by as one of the best 3rd place teams. After that, it's game over.

Morocco should scale through their group easily. They may even top it. But when it comes to the knockout stage, I feel they'll be among the first to fall.

Same goes for Ivory Coast, only slightly harder. I definitely don't see them topping.

I agree that Tunisia is cooked.

On paper, Egypt should be having an easy group but I don't trust them. Egypt at the World Cup have been perennial minnows.

Cape Verde might as well not attend the tournament. They'll likely not get a single point. If they're lucky they'll draw with an inconsistent Uruguay side or with Saudi but that's it. The only bright side for them is that they can beat their chests and say they went to the World Cup.

Senegal will likely settle for third, or may not even make it out in my humble opinion. I don't how their defense can withstand France and Norway. I see them losing both games by slim margins. AFCON showed how shaky their defense can be. They should progress as one of the best third place teams though.

Algeria's group is way tougher than it looks. Austria is good but Jordan is a banana peel as well. If Algeria mess around, they could even finish bottom.

DR Congo would get bullied in that group. Even Uzbekistan would give them hell. I wouldn't be surprised if they finished last. Eric Chelle's Nigerian side would do a lot better here. A win against Uzbekistan is sure. A win against Colombia too, and probably even a win against Portugal if Ronaldo and the boys aren't careful.

Ghana is absolutely cooked in my opinion. I don't see them getting more than 2 points in that group, and that's me being generous. I would'nt even be surprised if they lose to Panama. This current Ghana team is absolute shyte. This World Cup qualification did them no favors because it made them look far better than they are. They should be in for a rude awakening this summer.
Godbless you😀😀….i love this🔥🔥🙏..

The bolded is what saved your post(we will see). Following a tragedy the previous year, a team picked themselves up and went through to the finals of Afcon, but because you like this generation of players(underachievers, despite the talent level) better, you rubbish all their efforts(and yes this is emotional blackmail). When will you folks stop rubishing a win because it was decided by penalties? Is it not part of the game? No be the same penalty somebody go play like na short pass to goalkeeper? The only group that came close to the Amokachi set as far as achievement was the Mikel set under Keshi. Those guys missed two consecutive Afcon tourney's in 96 and 98, and managed to rack up all that. Shame no even catch you to talk all this nonsense.

From 1990 to 2000(10yrs gap) no super eagles team have been able to equal the record of that set
1990 afcon final(lost to Algeria)
1992 Afcon semifinal (lost semifinal and won the 3rd place match)
1994 Afcon won
1994 Fifa world cup(round 16 finish)
1994 top 5 ranked nation in soccer
1996 Atlanta(a large number represented the olympic team and won gold medal)
1998 Fifa worldcup (round 16 finish)
2000 Afcon (got to the final)

World cup African groups preview

Group A
Mexico
S/korea
SA
UEFA play off team
SA forget you cant beat anyone here, the fast South Koreans?, Mexico host? UEFA play off team?….naaaa forget SA cant beat these guys

Group C
Brazil
Morocco
Haiti
Scotland
From Nigerian perspective, this is the easiest group, i see Brazil cruising past all of them…from a Nigerian perspective Morocco should beat Haiti and Scotland and qualify for round 32….the question is can they?

Germany
CIV
Ecuador
Curacao

CIV should drag that second spot with Ecuador to round 32

Group F
Netherland🇳🇱
Japan 🇯🇵
Tunisia 🇹🇳
One UEFA play off team

omo them go beat Tunisia like mumu for this group, even though if they hire eric chelle😂

Group G
Belgium
Iran
Egypt
New Zealand

If Egypt serious them suppose fight their arab brothers for that second spot to round 32

Group H
Spain
Capeverde
Uruguay
Saudi
Sorry to Cape verde, Spain and Uruguay will use their experience and power their way to round 32….they wont even beat those Saudi boys

Group I
France
Senegal
Norway
Intercontinental play off team

omo e go tough for Senegal oo, they should borrow a leaf from us….9ja always find a way to beat those small baby European newbies(Iceland,Bosnia,Greece,Bulgaria etc)
Senegal should qualify to round 32 from this group if they play good football

Group J
Argentina
Algeria
Austria
Jordan

Wetin “🇳🇬🇩🇿GERIA” do Argentina for this life🤣….anyways Algeria should struggle it out with Austria..those guys are technically sound too, the second position to qualify to round 32 is between them

Group K
Portugal
Uzbekistan
Colombia
Intercontinental playoff winner(DRC or Nigeria time will tell)
For DRC, they should just forget qualifying to round 32…Colombia and Portugal will so molest them and qualify for round 32…then if its Nigeria, both Portugal and Columbia should get ready to fight cos they have 3 record-historic world cup teams in that group, any of Nigeria,Columbia,Portugal can top that group

Group L
England
Croatia
Ghana
Panama
Hypegland will really hear it from those short short CROT boys as for Ghana, they still have a chance to fight for round 32…but shey na those ones wey no qualify to afcon wan beat Hypegland and Croatia?…anyways lets see sha

Even though some time last year, i analysed that some countries may not make the next round of the world cup. that analysis was done when i didn't take into consideration that the expanded world cup will also include more qualifying rounds to the final. After the group stage you have the 1/16,1/8,1/4, semi final and final stage. It will be criminal if any african country fails to make atleast the 1/16 stage. Im expecting in a worst case scenario atleast 8 out of the possible 10 african countries to make the next tound. If not let FIFA reduce our slot, we dont deserve those many slots .

Which AFCON have we missed in the 2020s? The World Cup self we no pass round 2. The only AFCON the 90s won, they were fortunate to beat Ivory Coast on penalties in the semis and were mediocre against a Zambia 2nd string in the final! So what the hype about?
In the 2020s we lost the final to a very good host, and we lost the semis to a World Cup semi finalist on penalties. Lost the 2022 World Cup qualification to an away goal rule, a goalkeeping error, and lot of injuries. So what are you guys on about? Even if we lose this present case and made the 2030 World Cup. Spain at the 2022 WC was in transition plus they had had two poor back-to-back WC tournaments before 2022. 2014 (Knocked out in first round), 2018 (Unimpressive showing before getting knocked out in second round). Plus in 2022 it was the lottery of penalties after parking the bus that Morocco used to beat Spain.

Belgium was a team in decline so as good value Morocco's victory was it still wasn't prime opposition they beat.

Sorry I can't seriously rate a Morocco who haven't done anything of note since 2022. Losing to SA in the 2023 AFCON in the second round and failing to win a tournament on home soil despite all the attendant ojoro is not the hallmark of a team that can get to the semifinals again of a WC.
As weak as that Spain is in those 2018 and 2022 edition….

Okay, let me concede that you love the Super Eagles and did not discredit the team, players and the coach

BUT

you are still skirting around the major thrust of my post which is the Grade A coach (best hands) you want appointed as coach of the Super Eagles because you are unconvinced by Eric Chelle who has no Plan B according to you.

So I have some questions for you and I'd appreciate it if you can give direct answers this time.

🔸Who and what is a Grade A coach? Which metrics determine a Grade A coach?
🔸Do you think a Grade A coach will want to coach the Super Eagles given the dysfunctional nature of our football administration?
🔸Do you have any Grade A coach in mind that you'll want to be appointed for the Super Eagles? If YES, who?
🔸Is the Super Eagles having a Grade A coach a guarantee for winning the AFCON 2027 ,& 2028?
🔸Has any Grade A coach managed the Super Eagles in recent years? If Yes, who?
🔸Do you consider Emerse Fae, the Ivory Coast coach to be a Grade A coach?
since 2019 afcon it has been african tutored and trained coaches that has been lifting afcon….all the so called Grade A where are they…we once had Avram grant(former Chelsea,Portsmouth,Westham
,coach) in Afcon, we once had Christ Hughton(former, Newcastle,Nottingham,Birmingham,Norwich,Brighton former coach) how many Afcon them win….in this Africa, you will be shocked that a coach like Finidi can just take up the coaching role of Angolan national team and go win Afcon…everyone go shock🤣🤣

They are not getting to the final in 2030. I can confidently put money on it if I was a betting man.

Morocco doesn't have the midfield or attacking profile to carry them that deep into the tournament plus I think in terms of the best African youth talent diaspora or local they still lag behind Senegal, CIV, and Nigeria.

I think their run at the last WC in 2022 was down to a mixture of luck, tactical astuteness, weakened opposition (Belgim and Spain not at their prime).
we just like to downplay teams and their record here….especially on Nairaland…baba if Super eagles beat Belgium,Spain,Portugual at the world cup, the type of hype will get here will be blown over the roof and out of proportion….now spain is a weakened team, Belgium is a weakened team because no b Nigeria beat them abi🤣🤣….baba Morocco can still bank on their tactical astuteness and still shock the world….dont come and make the opponents they defeated at the last world cup as if they are Botswana and Tanzania….the freaking defeated Spain,Portugal and Belgium…thats a huge one

Bros komot mind for that thing, the best person to even try and guarantee them that final place is their present Coach,

Not one perceived wannabe, or you think the world up is like AFCON, where they and their fans will do that rubbish they just did, cos they were host??

Finally, do you honestly think others will be coming to fry Panadol for them to go all the way, cos of same Iniesta??
just wait until the 2030 WC draw gives them pathway of teams like Jordan,Azerbaijan,Czech republic, Sweden🤣….but their current coach was a newbie to 2022 the world cup and na? and he got to the semifinals, he was employed in 2022 and reach the semifinals of that sale year world cup….so they are free to carry on that dream to this year’s world cup

thats what they believe they can do according to the article, go back and read it…and yes they are free to live in that delusion, especially after coming close to reaching a world cup final in an arab soil Qatar….as it is now they are the next host, they are free to have that huge dream of winning world cup…same way all of us here would have felt if we had qualified for 2022 WC and reached the semifinal
