I told some Ghanaian fans last night that they can still qualify but they seemed not to understand. The way it is now, there is over 60% chance that CIV will still qualify.

if Ghana qualify mae i bend🤣
SA already on 3point
CIV on 3 points
Angola,Bfaso all on 4points
Algeria on 2point(win or draw dey qualify as group leader or best looser)
these are already more than 4countries required for round 16🤣, even Namibia dey 3points

We’d most likely play Cameroon
Guinea Is a better side I think
I watched Guinea v. Cameroun
Cameroun had the possession though
They’re really missing Mbeumo ,
Chuopo Moting and aboubakar

bro senegal will beat that guinea and cameroun will edge Gambia…infact cameroon will make sure they win that game to avoid Nigeria…anyways Guinea will also wanna avoid Nigeria by getting a draw against senegal🤣🤣..walai everybody dey avoid themselves for this afcon oo🤣

Exactly. We are the hardest team to beat. But let us not give our players that impression as they may come out complacent.

Look at our games in the group stage, against EG we played them handsomely but couldn't convert. Then we understood that we need to shove up our defense and believe in our attack that we can seal up wins in whichever way they come. That was what we did in our other two matches.

Last time Senegal played like this in the group stage and won. Rohr played like this in 2019 and even lost his final game to Madagascar but still got the bronze medal. We are slowly and steadily metamorphing..keep the fire up. We are a semi-final team. My only worry is the Algerian side. They seem to play like, if they qualify I hope they meet senegal at some point while we play either of the dark horses in the semi finals.
Algeria and Cape verde will have to cancel each other out in quarterfinal if both teams wins their r-16 games and possibly meet a certain Nigeria in the semifinal if the super eagles wobble to that stage🤣

Osimhen put the ball inside the net, ref canceled it
Sanusi put the ball inside the net ref canceled it
Guinea bissau scored ref canceled
without VAR that game ended 3-1.
watch out for super eagles in round 16…i jus want that Guinea, cos the will be using that 2-0 win they had against us to judge us…then we go knack them strong thing

I think we’d get Cameroon in r16
Hopefully we destroy Onana
If you ask me coach needs to start Moffi, give him a chance for 1 hour

You’ve already written off Egypt & Morocco lol.
Please don’t
Egypt is not in our path…they are in Senegals path🤣

Nigeria’s likely pathway to the final
R-16 Nig vs Gui/Cam 🤪 (choke and nick them)

Qf Alg/Sa vs Nig (play nonsense and advance)

SF Nig vs CPV/Morocco (humble them🤪and send them away)

Final Nig vs Sen (8-1-1 formation, force them to penalty shootout, and snatch the trophy undeservedly 🤣🤣anyone can now go to court and challenge the result)🤪

Bro I’m not talking about football or match or anything
I said he used a present tense in the place of a past tense

I’m talking about syllables you’re talking about the match 😂
anyways go back to the first question i asked that narrowed down to this point…it’s totally deviated from the response im expecting on the question i asked

Bro I’m talking about present and past terms being used I’m not talking about the match oga

They scored first so we came from behind

So if you were a full time analyst

You’ll say on air with over 10 million people watching that Equatorial Guinea came from behind to draw Nigeria

yoi are speaking analysts english “came from behind to draw” while me im asking why they drew d game…wether came from behind im not after that football analyst english, im after why they fail to win us

The argument is about past and present terms
It’s the terms being used not the results

If a kid in class always takes first place

And one they you match up to him and both you and the kid are first place would you say the kid finally caught up to you or you finally caught up to the kid

We came from behind so we drew with them that’s the correct term that’s my point

no matter how you will put it, they can never beat us..wether come from behind or not…that shows we have superior mentality over them..after their 1-0 go they went to sleep..why didnt dey switch into beast mode…instead it was eagles that almost tore them apart

I don't believe so. Even though we ended up with a worse record in 2013, our group was tough. Zambia had won the previous tournament and B Faso was a really good team(By African standards). As was evident we both ended up in the finals. But to be fair there weren't many tournaments when we started well.

bros go and check EQG last 3afcon and you will know we faced a team in the shape of B/faso of 2013…shey its penalty 2-0 u won against baby Ethiopia u wanna hype…these things happening now is jus like a replica of 2013…2013 team also we’re wasteful in the group stage…

Fear. That's all. If they need a win to qualify and they play us last. We go loose

But wait oo, i want to understand something, why Equatorial guinea draw with us..if they can actually score 8goals in 2matches…why was our scoring opportunity against them more than theirs in that first game?

All that I can say of Nwabali is that I like his character. Watched an interview where he said that he was not satisfied with his performance against CIV and I'm presently watching an interview in the clip with link supplied where one can see his determination. I like him. I hope he proves his mettle.

But come to think of it. Has our GK really been tested?? I don't think I have seen the real tourney test. I wasn't actually impressed with the way he handled that Fofana shot. I cannot say that he is the undisputed No1 yet. Time will tell.

bros if back to back shots come at him and our defense lazy about he will surely concede…i believe he was been tested…he doesn’t need to be facing back to back ferocious tests, trust me he will concede goals…A certain Enyeama was being tested back to back in 2014 WC against argentina, he was pulling mad mad saves upon saves but 3goals still enter him net. Even in the round 16, he was making spectacular saves but 2goals enter him net…all these goals are mostly due to defensive blunder…we just need our defend to be alert to shield him..as for against CIV he was tested…
-long range curler/shot was fired at him(he parried it away)
-close range one on one break out(he quickly covered his territory, spread his arms and made a block)
- a through-pass break out from the opponent midfield to striker, he came out quickly to intercept and clear the ball.
Nwabali is trying in my opinion

They dominated from start to finish but play was disjointed at the middle and the attackers were predictable. Some of them just selfish.

Everyone knows Burundi had no chance in the first place even before the game.

Really?
I'm surprised you're saying this.
That was the best tactics to maneuver their robost midfield.
Like bro eehn i no understand some people sha…im sure if CIV was leading 1-0 that day, they will all fall back and park d bus..cos peseiro will throw every of our attacking arsenals at them…people should understand that when a team is losing (esp african teams) the losing team will come out at you irrespective of the winning side pedigree…cameroon started mounting pressure on the defending champion to get an equalizer before senegal broke into a counter to seal the game…una don yab coach tire like mad, he come manage take a lead against host nation/one of africa’s big side and you say make he no play with cautionary defensive game?
