The circumstances are not the same. If you read very carefully, you know the plane the US shot was asked to identify itself twice ( everyone acknowledged this ) but the pilot was either arrogant and chose to ignore the seriousness of the warning. That was 30 years old and such error can not be excused again due the array of IT available now .

If you watched the interview on Aljezzeraa yesterday you know the op is distorting exactly what the man said.
The man said, his company got the contract to rescue the Chibok girls thru another contractor.
When they got to Nigeria, trained soldiers and started the process, the COA then told them to abort the mission and move to another conflict area to assist the army's effort there. He said he was surprise at that order but he realised it was an election year and the FG just wanna show they were concerned about rescuing the girls just to win votes.
He said however, when Buhari came in, he didn't deem it necessary to continue with their contract because he had lots of supports from the US.
