PoliticsRe: Senator Ademola Adeleke's Campaign Speech? Has Anyone Ever Listened To Him? by Minjim:
WorldChanger7:
Am surprised how an ordinary simple question of share a video of his campaigns has turned into an argument!

More surprising is the manner at which electorate is not concerned with the plan of politicians and how they intend to achieve it but rather are only interested in the name and money (even when politicians use deceased people pictures on postal).

I believe members of Nairaland are intellectual and have the opportunity to guide the general public on how they need to hold elected politician responsible and accountable for proper governance rather than ranting and insulting one another!
You are referring to Nairaland memebers of about 4 years ago.

PoliticsRe: Supreme Court Judgement that Upheld INEC Power to Declare Election Inconclusive by Minjim: 8:49am On Sep 25, 2018
Princedapace:
Well, the question is why the selective judgment? And if APC was leading, would INEC have make such declaration?

The inec act said May be declared inconclusive.. That means Inec may or may not.

That means something is wrong with the inec act. The word may is terrible for such a sensitive issue..
Apc was leading in Kogi and Inec made the decision. Why should this be different?
PoliticsRe: Supreme Court Judgement that Upheld INEC Power to Declare Election Inconclusive by Minjim: 8:47am On Sep 25, 2018
Dpd cant just choose which law should apply to them.
When they win elections they hail Inec as protecting democracy, but when they lose they cry that Inec is corrupt and aiding Apc

PoliticsRe: More Photos Of Saraki And Omisore Today by Minjim: 8:07pm On Sep 24, 2018
Pdp showing all its cards

I just love the way the Apc people kept mute since

I'm sure they're planning strategically to pull a stunning upset.
PoliticsRe: More Photos Of Saraki And Omisore Today by Minjim: 7:18pm On Sep 24, 2018
worlexy:
it's better for Omisore to trust Saraki than to trust Tinubu/Buhari. Saraki doesn't disappoint his friends/loyalists and he's always in charge (forget the rubbish that he betrayed his father and sister, that was only a political game) on the other hand, Tinubu and Buhari can't be trusted, despite the fact that Saraki and other nPDP members formed alliance with Buhari and Tinubu to wrestle power from PDP, they never fully integrated the nPDP members into their fold, they tried everything to force saraki to resign as the Senate president even though they never supported him ab initio. Tinubu betrayed Ribadu for Jonathan, and Buhari relegated Tinubu into the background and made him persona non grata in APC until recently when he's seeking reelection . Omisore please work for PDP and Saraki rather than the desperate power grabbers!
What's going s the use of omisore?
PoliticsRe: Osun Election: Why Adeleke Should Have Been Declared Winner – Ozekhome by Minjim: 7:14pm On Sep 24, 2018
madridsta007:
Well, he hasn't exactly cleared all the monies owed (and yes, some were owed up to 3 years), despite releasing funds only some few days to the elections. Osun people have, as expected, proven that they do not have short-term memories.

Other states owing? Is that a logical and sensible argument? ("Dad, I know I took 26th position out of 27 in class... But what about the guy that took 27th position?" You see how silly your "argument" is?). Please take this sort of "argument" to those who can listen to it.
Who told you he hasn't cleared the salaries?

Get ur facts right. I'm from Iwo and I have ppl in the civil service. Those below level 8 even collect their full salaries but what we hear online is the govt is paying half salaries to all worker

My reference to other states was because you ppl are find of wailing as if its only Osun that owes.

The battle for osun is not over. I've experienced Pdp b4 in Osun and I know the Apc govt did better.

If you're not from osun and don't live there, you certainly have no stake in this
PoliticsRe: Osun Election: Why Adeleke Should Have Been Declared Winner – Ozekhome by Minjim: 6:09pm On Sep 24, 2018
madridsta007:
Osun people were owed salaries and pensions for 3 years and you expected them to vote for APC again? Is that how you think the Yorubas are?
3 years ke!
Where did you get that from?

Take it easy now.

Osun has cleared his now. What about the other states still owing?
PoliticsRe: Osun Election: Why Adeleke Should Have Been Declared Winner – Ozekhome by Minjim: 6:06pm On Sep 24, 2018
This cancellation and voidance of illegitimate votes affected all the political parties, not just APC and PDP, but especially Omisore’s SDP whose two strongest fortes in Ife axis were badly affected.

“Such voided votes are ignored and unreckoned with, for they are a non sequitur. They are as dead as dodo.

How can a lawyer boldly speak nonsense with confidence?

There was no voting at all in those areas!

If the votes of those disenfrenchized will affect the election so Inec should simply turn blind eyes because Adeleke is Davido's uncle?

Inec will do what it has to do and you'al can go to the tribunal if not satisfied.

Why is Saraki fratanizing with Omisore if the votes in those areas don't count?
PoliticsRe: Maurice Iwu: 'Osun Election Was Conclusive' by Minjim: 2:11pm On Sep 24, 2018
This fool that supervised election malpractices during Obj's time has mouth to talk.
Someone that obj will just call to change election results. We all know he's a pdp member, so his words holds no water

Question is: why did we vote in APC, was it to maintain status quo or CHANGE things? We could have continued with PDP since we never really wanted to change PDP's style if doing things.
Integrity my feet. To think I fell for that 'gist.'
Change does not happen over night.
Its a gradual process which has commence wit Buhari as seen in the Osun election

PoliticsRe: Saraki Faults INEC Verdict On Osun Polls, Urges PDP Supporters To Remain Firm by Minjim: 9:33pm On Sep 23, 2018
wunmi590:
We all know that INEC was wrong in doing that, and we Nigerians and the whole world are watching them.

Just because the election did not favour them this time around, they decided to term it inconclusive.

But they were quick to announce the one of ekiti state.

They should vote 20times PDP, would still win the election
Inec acted accordng to the Electoral Law.
In Osogbo unit, there was no voting at all, so Saraki cannot talk of any cancelation. And that unit has over 900 acredited voters.

Same has Ife North, there was no voting in one unit because of Card Reader malfunction.
Same for the remaining two LGAs.

As long as voting has not taken place, its inec's to make sure those ppl are not disenfranchized

My question to Pdp is, Would they had accepted the result if they were in Apc' s shoes?
PoliticsRe: Facts Emerged On How INEC Compromised Osun Election by Minjim: 6:37pm On Sep 23, 2018
Croesuscrown:
INEC declares the Osun State Election in which PDP's Senator Adeleke had most votes inconclusive over the margin (353) being less than cancelled votes.
But INEC named APC's Haruna Isah winner of the 2018 Kogi HOR by-election despite the margin (12,015) being LESS than cancelled votes.
INEC will destroy Nigeria.
You didnt provide number of cancelled votes in Kogi so we can verify ur claims

How fat you are not reminding me I'm the one reminding you. Have you forgotten our conversation? Hoes it going over there in the apc camp right now? While ganduje and Tinubu are having sleepless nights in osogbo and still loosing, saraki and others are in akwa ibom and pdp winning. The people are tired of aregbesola in the State. He brought hardship, poverty, education went down and suffering. When pdp finally wins, he will be summoned to account for how he squandered the state fund just like he summoned oyinlola. His prison term will be longer than river Niger.

Does that not show you that elections are now becoming more credible and our votes now counts?

That's why politicians are paying electorates for their votes. Before they'll just bride the returning officer who will write any figure
