Hey i understand you perfectly well. Well, if u really wanna cut her out, i think you should reduce physical contact with her to the barest minimum, as they say, out of sight is out of mind. If it works for you pls let me know....i might need to try it too.

Religion / Re: Jide Macaulay, Nigerian Gay Pastor Writes Letter To Homophobes With Bible Quotes by Misblah(f): 9:42am On Apr 11, 2015
EroticAngelina:
Gay Nigerian pastor, Jide Macaulay took to facebook to write a letter to homophobes this morning. Read what he wrote

Open Letter to Homophobes
Far too many people play God and dehumanize Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Trans, and Intersex people throughout the world, in every culture, race, background etc.
The discrimination is so bad that it leaves many LGBTI people wondering and asking questions. This letter to Homophobes is being reproduced to answer many questions people have asked me.
Both heterosexuals and homosexual people, People of all faith have claimed that homosexuality is an abomination according to Leviticus 18:22 and cannot be condoned under any circumstance.
Dear Homophobes,
Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your bigoted rhetoric, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, they are clobbered with Leviticus 18:22 which clearly state it to be an abomination...End of debate.
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God's Laws and how to follow them.
1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighbouring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?
2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15: 19-24. The problem is how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odour for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problems are my neighbours. They claim the odour is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
5. I have a neighbour who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2. Clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?
6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination?
7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?
8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?
9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)
I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I am confident you can help.
Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.

The Other Child of the living God.

Education / The Chancellor. Just A Figure Head? by Misblah(f): 8:22pm On Feb 19, 2015
Please forgive my ignorance.
Does a vice chancellor in a University wield more power than the chancellor? if yes then why? Is the vice-chancellor's office not supposed to be like the deputy or something? I have noticed its mostly the vice-chancellor who's mostly at the fore front of running the university's affairs.

Truth is, we need the 'block' button on Nairaland. .. if there was, I for don block the dude and his threads teytey..... Riding rough on ladies all the time doesn't and will never make any guy a better man... it actually reduces him to an ordinary animal undecided

Didn't know Flora Nwapa was a feminist. My mom bought me Efuru. I think I was about 14 years old then. Looking back now it does make sense. Very strong women in Efuru. In fact I'm going on Amazon to see if I can get that book. I probably read it like a million times
yea she is.
Family / Re: Please I Need Your Advice I Feel Like Killing My Husband by Misblah(f): 5:22pm On Feb 16, 2015
Renowned feminist writer Flora Nwapa said something onetime. She said " a woman shouldn't ruin her life because of a bad marriage. She has a choice, a choice to marry and have children, a choice to marry and divorce their husbands. Marriage is not THE only way." My point is, if u feel frustrated, wouldn't u rather be a divorcee than a convict? Walk out if u feel the situation is beyond remedy and prove u are better off without him!...let's turn the table around, he for don deport u go ur Pman house tay tay. Don't let societal expectations be ur excuse, society would still castigate u if u stay back and prolly lose ur temper one day. Marriage is not the only way!

#gotcha back girl!

Romance / Re: Why Do People Stay In Abusive Relationships? by Misblah(f): 3:45pm On Feb 11, 2015
AirborneLacer:
Personally, I think people who choose to stay in an abusive relationship do so for many reasons and this differs from one individual to another.

Some are afraid to take up a new partner, to them is like taking up a new challenge hence they'd rather stay in their abusive union which is quite a familiar ground.

Some stay clamped to an abusive partner cos of love. As silly as it may sound, there are people out there who really love their devil of a partner. The fights and quarrels now seems normal to them and they believe it's only a matter of time before change comes knocking on the door of their abusive partner.

These are few conflicting emotions that keep people in an abusive relationship.

You'll find some other people staying in an abusive relationship cos they're receiving a good dose of financial support from their abusive partner.

Other reasons include religious reasons, being physically challenged, being threatened by the abusive partner, dating under an oath etc
been a while i saw any comment as brilliant as this. you just put my thought to writing. oshe!
