I really like her friend for something very serious, damn!! The concept called biological clock is very real and the earlier a woman has her kids (early 20s ideally), the healthier they both are in addition to other benefits.

Moreover, it is better she has her kids and launch into her career (she stays there longer) than focus on her career and leave marriage for later.

The younger a woman is, the better placed she is to find a spouse that aligns with her goals if she knows herself. The easier it is to also build a relationship.

In a normal African family, the wife's family frequent their house more than the man's family

One of the ways to ask a guy out is the eyes - the silent tongue of love. People can be horribly fixated on you that you'd feel guilty if you don't ask them out. Actually they asked you out, it's just that they are allowing you to take charge.

Also, people may also say "care to come to my home for a movie/drink during the weekend or whatever." They asked you out too but it's still quite obfuscating and many other ways I wouldn't bore you with. In the end, they still want you to say it!!!
