seriously i just have to comment despite the topic being old...

@Poster...u really are a good man. though its only ur side of dstory we read, i urge u to continue d good work u r doing in keeping ur home. however u must talk to ur wife....sit her down and explain how hurt u are by her indifference to u in terms of appreciation. if need be...call in someone shes close to n can listen to: eg her mum, best friend, pastor or priest. i think she wil understand better how u feel if someone else breaks down d possible effects of her behaviour on d marriage.

and to all posters above me who dont see anything wrong with wat d wife is doin....please u all shuld gerrarahere. appreciation goes a long way in every situationship we find ourselves.
God himself revels in our praises and worship of him.
personally...i am a very grateful person...mayb thats why am so irked abt d whole tin. u need to see me thankn pals for lil favours and help. Gratitude is an attitude and shuld neva b taken for granted. Nigerians and dir sense of entitlement shaa....smh!

lol cheesy thanks for the compliment. After I decided to get back to shape, i started minor exercises I jogged twice a week round my estate very early in the mornings. If your estate is not secured, try indoor skipping with ropes.

I also take lemon juice with warm water 1st thing in the morning and last thing at night. Just squeeze half a lemon in a glass add warm water to fill up and drink. It helps a lot. Also worked for my tummy too. I also had my dinner 7pm latest. Try these tips and you'll start seeing results in 2 weeks. Cheers

Aww..thanks a lot dear. Will try all u mentioned. Wish me luck! Haha

Lovely thread I must say.

I grew up a very shy and timid girl. I had severe acne since my teenage years and it affected my self esteem. I never kept friends and always hid face from people. My family never understood they felt I was a snub.

In my university days I struggled to go for lectures and face my mates, was sick of people recommending different solutions for my acne. Entered into relationships just to feel beautiful was mostly depressed.

Didn't know some of my mates envied what I had but never appreciated. I was brainy, from an averagely rich home but didn't think of those just wanted my face to be clear.

Got a job immediately after nysc and became self sufficient at an early age but was still depressed. Got married along the line and had my 1st child acne still remained. After my 2nd child, was outta job for a while cos had to relocate to be with hubby. Had it rough with depression and found solace in food.

Had a turn around when hubby started finding solace in a pretty nurse. Decided to look and feel good for me. I got a better job, started trying treatments for adult acne and cut down on my food intake with exercises.

After a while I looked and felt good getting compliments from strangers and even hubby started noticing the new me. I was able to save for vacations outside the country and went without hubby on 2 occasions smiley

The acne has not fully gone away but my face is a lot smoother and my stature great people don't know I have kids till I talk about them. And I am a lot bolder and less depressed.

This is my recent picture pregnant with my 3rd child. Was 4 months gone in this pics. Please don't quote me as I may delete this post later on. Thanks cheesy

D camp is not bad.. Its a camp so don't expect much comfort. Its a 50 naira bike from the park to the camp... Well ppa posting is done in camp.. Everybody wants akure but man akure is not it at all based on high cost of living.. I was being posted to akoko north east that's d same local government where d camp is.. I felt bad cos d whole road and houses I saw on my way to camp from d park looked so ancient .. Till I found out ikare got new settlements other than what I saw.. Don't rush to work ur posting to akure.. If u know ur way on camp you can work ur posting to a preferred local govt.. But choose wisely

oga i throwway salute give u o. that u wer not posted to Akure dosnt mean its expensive. i am a servn corps member serving in Akure n i make bold to say Akure is not expensive. hrd a whole lot of that shit while i was camp buh its just a consolation to those..nt lucky to b posted to akure.no mata ow u look at iit...Akure,Owo,Ondo towns ar far much beta to serv in in terms of basic amenities n civilisation.
to all batch A corpers plz dont waste ur money lookn for who to help u wit postn in camp. just trust God n aallow him plan ur Exodus route to ur Promised Land.

and if u r an Engineer lik mua...its most likly u wil b headed to Akure

bishopoliver:
Interesting piece.

A similar scenario is playing out in my home. I am married and wifey recently gave birth to a baby. My mum insists that the boy should bear the name she gave the boy while I chosed another name entirely. I simply told my wife that the baby bears the name i gave him...but we will call him the name my mum gave him WHENEVER we are with my mum ONLY.

Men need to be wise.

As for the name of the car, i advise you to please put the name of your hubby. It doesnt cost you anything, men loves to have their ego massaged on a daily basis. There is no way your hubby will be truly happy if you omit his name, he may not show it at first but trust african man, he will surely think about it.

No need to create unnecessary strife.

Pick your battles.

oga seriously i had to quote you.
did u say put d name of her hubby on d deeds of a car she s gonna buy with her own money?? u no try at all.
lettn him drive d car wil b enuf massage to his ego n not havn hia name put der wen he dint contribute a dime.
if shes to b ur own daughter...wil u advise her so?
