More facts have emerged on how a 200-Level Theatre Art
and Film Study student of the University of Port Harcourt
(UNIPORT), Miss Precious Kelechi, died mysteriously on
Monday.
Her room-mate, Kainti Dauebimoere Chant’elle, revealed
how her close friend slumped in the hostel bathroom and
died after the deceased was rejected by the UNIPORT
Teaching Hospital (UPTH).
Kainti, a 300-Level Theatre Art and Film Study student and
the deceased bedmate, narrated: “Precious and I woke up
almost at the same time on Monday at 5m. She left the
room to have her bath. A few minutes after, I heard her
screaming. I ran to the bathroom to know what was wrong
with her, but I saw her on the floor, shivering.
“I rushed back to call other roommates. We got a car at
5:45am to take her to UPTH. When we got to Accident and
Emergency section, doctors on duty told us there was no
bed space. Our plea to the doctors to admit her fell on deaf
ears. Precious was rejected.
“We left for Fountain Hospital in Ozuoba area. The doctor on
duty told us to inform her parents and advised we should
take her back to the UPTH. When we told the doctor she was
rejected at UPTH, he directed us to Ebonyi Hospital, where
Precious was also refused admission.”
Kainti said: “Then, we rushed her to military hospital, where
she was confirmed dead. We were advised to make
statement at the Choba Police station, after which the body
was taken to UPTH mortuary. The same UPTH management,
which said there was no space to accommodate the
distressed students, accepted her corpse in their mortuary.”
Kainti said her friend died because she could not be
admitted for medical attention.
When the news hit the campus, the students, led by the
president of Students’ Union Government (SUG), Endwell
Chuku, abandoned lecture and blocked the popular East-
West Highway to protest Precious’ death.
They accused the UPTH management of complicity in the
death of the late student, criticising the hospital for rejecting
a student of the university.
The UPTH Chief Medical Director (CMD), Prof Aaron Ojule,
said there was no space when the victim was brought to the
hospital, noting that the hospital could not have willfully
rejected the late student.
He said: “We did not reject the late student. We cannot reject
anybody, not to talk of the student UNIPORT. But, when the
wards are filled, we cannot ask patients to come down from
the bed to accept another. We sympathised with the
deceased’s family and the university.”
Meanwhile, normalcy has returned to the campus as
students returned to classrooms. The union advised the
management to reach agreement with the Teaching Hospital
to give students in distress a preferential service anytime
they go to the hospital.

I have been following this thread and believe me, you guys will never stop arguing.. only an experiential knowledge with the person of the holyghost can truly tell whether or not Jesus should be worshiped.. from the little experience I have with the holyghost, I can tell the world boldly that Jesus is lord, and should be worshiped. God the father should be worshiped and even the holyghost should be worshiped. this is a mystery which you can never understand by studying the Greek and Hebrew rendering of the Bible....a word is enough for the wise.

Pentecostal churches are known or want to be known as “Bible Christians”, “Bible believing churches”, and doing everything using the Bible as the sole Authority in Christian matters. Every minute of their days are spent reading the scriptures. They quote 2 Tim 3:16 “All scriptures is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults and giving instruction for right living.

They accuse other churches, especially the Catholic church of not being Bible believing, Bible Christians, and not doing everything according to the Bible. Thousands of Catholic have joined them in Nigeria alone, as a result of these.

However, a closer and careful study of the Pentecostal show that they are not what they seem to portray. They are not as Bible believing as they claim, nor are they Bible Christians more than Catholic, nor do they do everything with the bible as sole authority as they say.

They are many things that Pentecostals do that are not in the Bible, many more ignore Bible commands, truths and instructions among Pentecostals. Even the direct orders of Jesus Christ, our Lord, are not followed by them.

Many characteristics of the church, spoken of in the New Testament are not found among Pentecostal churches. I have thought about this matter for so long that I have decided to share it with other catholic and also Pentecostals.

Here are many of the things Pentecostal do, that are not in the Bible and those in the Bible they don’t do. I hope that Catholics and Pentecostals will learn from this and change accordingly.

APPARITIONS
It seem strange that a church that claims the Bible as its root and an abundance of the Holy Ghost gifts within them, do not record apparitions. Jesus Christ appeared to St. Paul in an apparition, which converted Paul and drew souls to Christ, Acts 9:1-23 Moses and Elijah Mt. 17:1-8, appeared to Jesus, Peter, James and John to prove that Christ was the expected one. Lk 9:28-36, Angels appeared to Mary Lk 1:26, to announce the coming of Jesus Christ. The same to John the Baptist’s father. Apparitions are hence an important part of the Christian faith and scriptures, as they portray important events and messages.

Since the beginning of the Pentecostal churches, they have been no apparitions and apparition messages.

In the Catholic Church apparitions of Virgin Mary, God, Jesus Christ, the Saints and Angels are so many. Such devotions as the Brown scapular, the miraculous medal, the sacred heart, Devine mercy, are very popular, and were as a result of apparitions from a God that does not change.

PRAYING ALOUD IN GROUP
Nobody prayed aloud in groups, all at the same time, thereby causing disorder in prayer, in the Bible St. Paul warns against disorder in Christian worship. 1 Cor. 14:26-36. The Baal prophets prayed in such a manner. 1 Kgs 18:28-29.

HOMOSEXUALITY
In the U.S.A, some Pentecostal churches marry homosexuals, they wed them in their churches, of recent the Anglican Church in England has done the same. See what scripture says” in the same way the men give up natural sexual relations with women and burn with passion for each other, and as a result, they bring upon themselves the punishment they deserve for their wrong doing. Rom. 1:27, Lev. 18:22, Lev. 20:13, an offence that attracts death penalty in the days of Moses.

TRADITION
The Bible Church of the New Testament has some traditions. See Jn 21:25,2 thes 2:15, 2 Cor 10:10-11 and instructions’ 2 These 3:6 different from traditional of men Mt. 15:1-2, 9. It is then sad that Pentecostal do not have traditions, while Catholics have.

HOLY DAYS
Pentecostal Church do not have holy days. In the Old Testament (Bible), holy days were celebrated e.g the Passover. In the New Testament (Bible), Holy days were celebrated as Jesus Christ celebrated the Passover feast. St. Paul states ‘some people think that a certain day is more important than others do so in honour of the Lord. Rom 14:5-6. Does this not show how Bible believing they can be even when Catholics celebrate holy days according to St. Paul to Bible Christians.

DON’T MARRY
Pentecostal churches do not have any place for people who don’t want to marry in life in other to serve God better. Jesus said, ‘For they are different reasons why men cannot marry… others do not marry for the sake of the kingdom of heaven, Let him who can accept this teaching do so Mt. 19:12 This is done voluntarily, and different from Forbidden to marry in 1 Tim 4;3 see 1 Cor. 7:1-40

Some people have joined the Pentecostal, because they have seen Catholic Priest involved in Fornication and adultery, that some Catholic priests do so, doesn’t mean that the Bible teaching should no longer be followed. After all renown Evangelists in U.S.A and pastors in Nigeria have been caught in similar or same sins, even among the Pentecostal churches.

BLESSING MARY
Pentecostal Churches must hate Virgin Mary so much, that they actually ignore the fact that Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and Blessed Mary and Jesus in her womb Lk. 1:41-44. They ignore the Bible they hold so important to, which says “from now on all generations will call me Blessed. “Lk. 1:48 ‘for the almighty has done great things for me’ (KJV Jerusalem Bible). They are in the generation that has refused to honour or Bless Mary. Although scripture tells them to Bless and honour her.

When Catholic bless and honour Mary, in some cases using the Rosary, they turn and attack Catholics for worshiping Mary or for honouring her.

WOMEN PASTOR, EVANGELISTS
This abound in Pentecostal churches, in complete disregard of the scripture. What does the Bible says ‘As in all churches of God’s people, the women should keep quiet in the meetings. They are not allowed to speak, as the Jewish law says they must not be in charge…. It is a disgraceful thing for a woman to speak in church 1 Cor. 14:34-35

MEMORIAL OF CHRIST
In all his ministry on earth, there is only one thing Jesus Christ said we should do in his memory “Lk 22:17-18, the Breaking of Bread’ Act. 2:42, as we can see from the Bible. Yet this is another one of the important Bible message that Pentecostal ignores, and refuses to do. Yet they claim to be Bible Christians. When Catholic follows the instruction of our Lord, Pentecostal churches say that Catholics are doing ‘rituals’ that have no power before God. Think of the Graces Christ would pour on all those who do as he has instructed. Jesus Christ knew that it is good to say prayers. Praise God, Band Music, Clap Hands, Give Testimonies, Study the Bible, Preach the good news, be new creatures, but he did not tell us to do all or any of that in his memory, but the breaking of bread’ see Mk. 14:22, 25, 1 Cor. 11:23-27. “Every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are proclaiming his (Jesus Christ) death; 1 Cor. 11:26-27, Mt. 7:21-27.

RETREAT, SEMINAR, REVIVAL, CONFERENCE, CONVENTION, CRUSADE, CAMP
Pentecostal churches are often seen doing retreats, seminars, revivals, but nowhere in the Bible do we see the Christian church doing any of this. They are not saying that such practices. I am not Biblical or based on scriptures. I am not saying that such practices are not good, but they do not have roots in the Bible.

SHOUTING IN PRAYER
Pentecostal churches teach their members to go inside their rooms, close the door and start shouting out prayers to God, often in the early morning or late at night when people are sleeping. Nobody prayed, like that in the Bible nor does the Bible give us such an instruction. Jesus Christ says “But when you have shut your door, pray to your father who is in that secret place, and your father who sees all that is done in secret will reward you” Mt. 6:6, The Israelites who shouted together with trumpets, ark of covenant, processing and made Jericho walls to fall as God instructed Joshua. They were not shouting from the privacy of their homes. Jos, 6:17-21. They (Pentecostals) simply imitate the Baal Prophets. 1 Kgs 18:28-29 in shouting.

HEAD TIE
Women in some Pentecostal churches do not tie head tie while at worship, their pastor turn a blind eye to this, despite what the scriptures says. 1 Cor 11:1-16.

BORN AGAIN
Pentecostal churches say that for one to belong to their churches one must be born again. They repeatedly tell Catholic ‘You must be born again to be saved.”
They teach that to be born again, you should follow the following steps
(1) Confess to God that you are a sinner
(2) Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins; and was raised for your justification
(3) Receive him and confess Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Then they claim 2 Pet 3:18, Rom 10:9. Jon 5:24, Jon 20:31 and Jon 3:3. But that is not what the Bible says, Jesus teaches that for one to be born again “you must be born of water and the Holy Spirit Jn. 3:3-5, 8, but Pentecostals teach a different and strange doctrine of being born again.

POWER TO FORGIVE SINS
The first thing Jesus Christ did after he rose from the dead was to give ‘power’ (Holy Spirit) to his apostles to forgive sins of people? Jesus told them ‘Receive the Holy Spirit, if you forgive the sins of any they are forgiven them, if you retain the sins of any, they are retained “Jn. 20:22-23.
Yet in the Pentecostal Churches, none claims to have these powers to forgive sin, it is only within the Catholic Church since over 1500 years till date that claim this gift and exercise it in the ministry of reconciliation. This is another evidence to show a complete, disregard of Jesus Christ instruction and actions by Pentecostal churches, and show they don’t do what the Bible says they should do.

SPEAKING IN TONGUES
When Pentecostal gather, they all speak in tongues at the same time, but the Bible says they should speak one after another. 1 Cor 14:28. Secondly, when they speak in tongues no body interprets what they speak, but Bible says that somebody must interpret or the speaker should keep quiet. 1 Cor. 14:2-5, 9, 13, 18, 1 Cor. 14:27-28.
Pentecostal churches give a high position to speaking in tongues, but the bible calls it the least of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. 1 Cor. 14:19.

Every Pentecostal church member speaks in tongue, but the bible says, not all can speak in tongues’

On the Pentecost, when the apostles were speaking in tongues, people heard them in their own languages but it is not so with the Pentecostal Churches. Acts.2:4-8.

No one is indeed perfect nor an angel but sometimes, our actions especially in religion arena tends to speak otherwise. Making us look perfect to the outside world whereas we aren't.

Some time last year, my uncle invited me to his church. Am the kind of person that hardly go to church from year to year but decides to give it a try because of the respect i have for him. When the pastor finished with the normal benediction, i took my bible to hit the exit only to be called by one Christian sis like that. She didn't wear anything artificial nor did she wear ear ring despite the fact that she's still young, about 26yrs, looking for husband i guess. She called me and started asking me all manner of question.

"are u born again? Are u ready to accept him? Blah blah blah"

i told her am so hungry and not in the mood for that. She requested for my address so that she will visit me with the visitation team. I wrote it down and head home. They came that day and preached to me and i felt remorse for my sins and gave my life to Christ.

We became so close that i began to see her as my mother in the Lord. She is always ready to teach and preach to me about the end time and the coming of Christ. What i find repulsive is the way she treat other girls outside her faith as if, they are one of the damned souls.

Anyway, i never cared much but made up my mind to keep growing in the Lord. Until last month, i met a young girl, Anthonia by name who stays with that my Christian mother in the Lord. She looked moody and sad. I asked to enquire the sudden change of mood. She told me how my mother in the Lord have been maltreating her and even told her to pay half of the house rent. Anthonia is an orphan and my mother in the Lord took her in just to help.

"I don't believe you. She is so perfect and upright." i had busted out and she laughed at me.

"We all have secrets Henry, we all have our weak point" she has said with a new spirit within her. She went on and told me how my mother in the Lord committed abortion last 2 months. I was taken aback and at the same time curious to know more which she did. I think back and discovered her strange attitude for the past month. Spitting around, looking sleepy and a robust brea*t. That confirmed it all.

Now, whenever i see that my mother in the Lord, i see a hypocrite. A deceitful person indeed. Just last week. She threw out Anthonia out of her house who has already revealed all about her.

Am still a baby in the Lord and having such an encounter is not helping issue. Vice-President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo on
Tuesday said the President Muhammadu
Buhari’s administration would soon
commence giving primary school children
free meals.
The vice president said the free feeding
scheme was a core project of the
Federal Government that would in turn
yield about 1.14 million jobs and increase
in food production.
Osinbajo said this at the 45th Annual
Accountants Conference in Abuja.
He said the government would be
investing more in the people, education
and job creation.
Speaking on the topic “Repositioning
Nigeria for Sustainable Development: From
Rhetoric to Performance,” Osinbajo said
that the multiplier effects of the
introduction of the school feeding scheme
would help to create 1.14 million new jobs;
increase food production by up to 530,000
metric tonnes per annum, as well as
attract fresh investments up to N980bn.
He said, “One of the most important
interventions required in the education
sector is capacity building to improve
teacher quality.
“This programme is intended to drive
teachers’ capacity development; boost
basic education; attract talents to the
teaching profession. Better educated
population increases economic potential
for productivity.”
“The All Progressives Congress has made
a commitment to provide one-meal-a-day
for all primary school students; that would
create jobs in agriculture, including
poultry, catering and delivery services.”
The vice president decried the high rate
of employment in the country in spite of
the fact that Nigeria had recorded high oil
prices, Gross Domestic Product and
foreign reserves during the previous
administrations.
This, according to him, has made it clear
that such figures, including a rise in
revenue by itself, do not create jobs or
significantly reduce poverty level in the
country.
“So, why are most (of our people) poor
despite rising revenues and GDP growth?
Our main revenue earners, the extractive
oil and gas economy, do not by
themselves create many jobs. Such is the
irony of a top-down economic model;
when the major revenue earner is
extractive and the value chain is poorly
developed,” he argued.
Osinbajo also said there was need for
the government to improve the power
sector and have a one-stop shop for
approvals of investments.
Other areas of focus in the Buhari
economic plan, as espoused by his
deputy, are innovation and fighting piracy;
diversification of the economy in the
areas of agriculture to achieve self-
sufficiency in rice and wheat (staples)
production; manufacturing; entertainment
and technology.
On the power sector, he noted that
“despite the challenges, there have been
measurable improvements over the past
three months (June to August 2015).”
He said, for instance, there had been a 26
per cent increase in operational
generation capacity (June to August 15,
2015 compared to January to May 2015);
decrease in pipeline vandalism, boosting of
gas supply; and a 10 per cent reduction in
transmission losses.
Other achievements in the sector, he said,
included reduction in red tape to remove
delays; blocking the 450MW Azura-Edo
IPP and the 500MW Exxon Mobil Qua-
Iboe IPP; and the imposition of a
September 2015 deadline for the
submission of the DisCos’ revised tariff
trajectories.
The vice president said there was no
going back on the Treasury Single
Account policy of the Federal
Government, saying the TSA would
address issues of non-transparency,
especially among revenue generating
agencies.
He frowned at the activities of revenue
generating agencies of government that
did not remit funds into the Federation
Account as and when due.

On the conditional cash transfer
programme, Osinbajo said this was
another avenue for alleviating poverty.
He explained that the programme was
intended to support the 25 million poorest
households to embrace
vaccination, education and production.
The multiplier effects of the introduction
of the programme, he noted, would
include lifting millions out of poverty;
putting millions into rural production; and
boosting rural economy.
He added that there was a need for the
government to improve on the power
sector; and having one-stop shop for
approvals of investments.
Other areas of focus, he listed as
innovation and fighting piracy;
diversification of the economy in the
areas of agriculture – self-sufficiency in
rice and wheat (staples) production;
manufacturing; entertainment and
technology.
On the power sector, he noted
further that “despite the challenges, there
have been measurable improvements over
the past three months (June to
August 2015)”.

a friend of mine mentioned this to me yesterday and I was completely shocked on hearing it because things like this rarely occurs these days. His girlfriend unconsciously speaks in tongues while in prayers and her pastor interprets all she says she also dreams n her dreams most times happen in real life. he says he is getting scared. advice for him please.
