@OP I am having similar experience with yours right now but the difference with me now is that my house is not only dirty and untidy, there are bed bugs everywhere in my bedroom, sitting room...everywhere. As for my kitchen, the are these tiny cockroaches that are really disgusting. I chose to do the cleaning by myself but I cant just help with this recent horrible experience. Please, can anyone advise me on what to do. I live in a duplex, my wife is 7 months pregnant now and we have two children. Fill a new ds-160, then send a message to support on Avits website to update your barcode number. When it has been updated, print your new appointment letter. Crosscheck to make sure the barcode on both the new appointment letter and ds-160 match before going for the interview.

I filled Abuja in my DS-160 but I wasn't able to find a suitable appointment date in Abuja but I found in Lagos embassy which I've booked already. Please will this in anyway affect me? I'd really appreciate some advice on this. Thank you all

I deferred my admission to fall 2026, I was advised by the course representative to defer to fall 2026 in order to to increase my chances of retaining my funding . My MRV expires in April 2026, when can I possibly be on the look out for dates taking into consideration the visa validity thing and when I can enter the US for the resumption in August.

Also they release date in the morning, anytime from 9am to 12pm. Those are my observations based on my experience.

I don't belong to any date search group. I was always checking the app every 30 min. After I started getting restricted, I reduced it to checking every hour. The truth is your hands always has to be on deck. You have to be checking constantly. I have noticed they release dates once a month so you always have to be at alert. They released in july and August, so stay alert for September and October release.

You don't have to change the date. Just make sure you message support with the new ds160 bar code. Also confirm the barcode on the appointment letter matches the one on the ds160 (the ones you take to the embassy) or else they won't let you into the embassy.

I'm still waiting for my new i20 before doing mine. You actually need to fill a new ds160 form with your new sevis ID. Then send a message to support on AVITS portal to update your ds-160 number and sevis ID. When it is done, you will print out the new visa appointment slip that has the updated information.

Did you email the embassy? If yes, what was the response or updates made to your visa application.

Write down everything. Use sticky notes for reminders, paste them where you can see them easily. You can also use note pad on your phone. Just write down your to do list, task and things you don't want to forget.
You aren't dull. Believe in yourself, nobody else will do it for you.

You are right. I spent almost 30 mins switching between Lagos and Abuja before I got the date.

I reported a bolt driver yesterday, I hope action is taken and I will continue to report other drivers that misbehave. You guys make bolt very unsafe and give a bad name to Nigerians. Imagine me booking a ride, you accept and then start complaining about the money and the fact that passengers still want AC. Before nko, if i wanted a non-AC cab, I would have used the normal Lagos state yellow taxi. If you as a driver doesn't like the amount, then don't accept the ride.

What annoyed me was after I arrived and had made payment, I realized the driver cancelled the ride. I couldn't get the receipt to ask for a refund from my company. Imagine if it was my mother I booked the ride for and he cancelled it just so he can make money offline, that means I won't be able to monitor the rides movement on the app. If he had kidnapped me nko, the company won't know because he drove offline. My anger isn't that he took the ride offline, but that he did it without my consent and put me at risk.
Anyway I have submitted my proof to bolt, I await their response. I will continue to report other drivers that misbehave, na una dey spoil this country.
