Business / Re: How Come CBN Is Silent On Sterling Bank Disruption Of Service For 5 Days by missidy: 5:53pm On Sep 05
They are not reliable. I only use them bulk saving of money I don't want to touch. It's best to use Access or gtb, their technology is good.

Their online web baking ain’t working

I was able to make some transfers yesterday and today on the app. Only one transfer didn't go through yesterday evening. Their service always fluctuates.

A jobless He-goat is what you are. Don't go and buy food to eat, sit there with hunger in your stomach and be trolling. You are obviously one one the poor nairaland guy that beg up and down.
TrustNone:
honestly this is irritating to the eyes.
You don't know how to cook.
That meal doesn't look appealing or presentable and I'm sure it'll have a sour and over salty taste.
And na woman you be.

Native rice for lunch. I'm getting addicted to adding fresh curry leaves to my meals, it gives it a whole new flavor.

There are many art students that have been given fully funded scholarships here on nairaland. Someone here got to study painting for this fall. Check the diary section too, there is a girl there that is fully funded in the arts. You just need to research the schools that give what you want.
CoCo9080:
Hello everyone,I have been following this thread for a while now. I realize most of the the people who got full fundings are either in STEM or BMS. I haven't really seen quite a number of humanities applicants who are given fully funded scholarships.
I studied Religious Education (Faculty of Education). Please are there any specific universities one should apply to?

Honestly, your case looks spiritual. First you were sick, now funding withdrawn. A clear case of failure at the edge of breakthrough. I will advise that you take some days to fast and pray let God speak to you. Even if you try another country, a new problem might still spring up.

Secondly, If it were me, I will still go. God works with our faith. Didn't you make friends the first time you were there? People that can link you up with under the table jobs? At least to pay your rent and feed while you try to find a solution.

anamo:
Good evening yall . I was supposed to be travelling this Fall after obtaining my F-1 visa since April. Unfortunately, the fund I was supposed to be working with was withdrawn from my PI. I could no longer proceed as I don’t want to go and constitute nuisance in the US (I don’t have money to sponsor myself). Note that this is my second time of not being able to use an F-1 visa as I couldn’t use the first one issued in January cuz I was sick and hospitalized completely.

I just want an honest opinion as I’m about to give up completely on US Schools...how do you all feel about this? I wish to apply for another admission and proceed to get a new visa..do you think the VO will think I’m not serious? What do you feel about this? If you were the VO, will you take this kind of person seriously?

Please don't ever believe that your mum's accusations that your wife and her family are behind your financial problem. No wife wants her husband to be broke, who wants to suffer?
Life is full of challenges, this is yours. Sickness, loss, anything can happen at anytime. I know someone that just bought a house this year, this month fire has destroyed it. That is life for you. Keep trying and you will get back on your feet again.

Anytime I buy spaghetti slim by mistake, I add very little water and cook for few minutes only. Monitor it and filter out the water immediately it is soft. For jellof spaghetti, I don't parboil it & I add very little water. It doesn't like much water & long cooking.

I still don't understand the rational behind ladies changing their names to their husbands first name. Surname is ok but adding his first name as if your parents didn't do naming ceremony during your birth and gave you your own names.

Travel / Re: Tired Of Lagos by missidy: 1:00pm On Jun 27
You can travel to other states for vacation on your own. If you have relatives in other states e.g grandparents, aunties, you can visit them. Or just lodge in a hotel. You don't need to live outside Lagos but you can visit/tour other states. It isn't good to be in just one location all your life. Explore, it brings exposure.

Some sellers don't wash their afang. The afang my dad just brought from the village for us, I washed all and dried them under the sun. A lot of dirt & sand came out of it. Some sellers don't wash it, they just cut & sell it like that.
sheycrown:

I once tried grinding it in the market but it was “sandy” when I cooked it. I was tasting sand in the soup. Is there a way to prevent that?

That means their machine was dirty or the sellers didn't wash the afang or the crayfish they used to bring it out of the grinder wasn't selected. I always select the crayfish before giving it to them to grind the afang out.
For hygiene sake, you can continue pounding it at home to avoid the sand issue.

Pounding of afang is just suffer head. Grind the afang in the market, that's what I do.
iamL:

Same here. I only get discouraged whenever I want to make afang due to the pounding of the leaves. I will forever bless a friend who taught me some of their delicacies.

How do prefer your periwinkles With or without shells?

Atama isn't bitter, maybe you ate a different soup. This is palm kernel and atama leaves. Just like Banga.
