Food › Re: Wasted Money Buying And Cooking Spaghetti Slim by missidy: 4:23pm On Jul 08, 2024
Anytime I buy spaghetti slim by mistake, I add very little water and cook for few minutes only. Monitor it and filter out the water immediately it is soft. For jellof spaghetti, I don't parboil it & I add very little water. It doesn't like much water & long cooking.

Politics › Re: Stop Using My Name, Ex-Husband, Alison-Madueke Warns Diezani by missidy: 7:51am On Jul 02, 2024
I still don't understand the rational behind ladies changing their names to their husbands first name. Surname is ok but adding his first name as if your parents didn't do naming ceremony during your birth and gave you your own names.
Travel › Re: Tired Of Lagos by missidy: 1:00pm On Jun 27, 2024
You can travel to other states for vacation on your own. If you have relatives in other states e.g grandparents, aunties, you can visit them. Or just lodge in a hotel. You don't need to live outside Lagos but you can visit/tour other states. It isn't good to be in just one location all your life. Explore, it brings exposure.

Some sellers don't wash their afang. The afang my dad just brought from the village for us, I washed all and dried them under the sun. A lot of dirt & sand came out of it. Some sellers don't wash it, they just cut & sell it like that.
sheycrown:
I once tried grinding it in the market but it was “sandy” when I cooked it. I was tasting sand in the soup. Is there a way to prevent that?
Food › Re: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures And Post It Here. SIMPLE! by missidy: 11:25pm On Jun 24, 2024
That means their machine was dirty or the sellers didn't wash the afang or the crayfish they used to bring it out of the grinder wasn't selected. I always select the crayfish before giving it to them to grind the afang out.
For hygiene sake, you can continue pounding it at home to avoid the sand issue.

Pounding of afang is just suffer head. Grind the afang in the market, that's what I do.
iamL:
Same here. I only get discouraged whenever I want to make afang due to the pounding of the leaves. I will forever bless a friend who taught me some of their delicacies.

How do prefer your periwinkles With or without shells?

Atama isn't bitter, maybe you ate a different soup. This is palm kernel and atama leaves. Just like Banga.

The students will never get the money. It seems you haven't experienced it before. A top lawyer gave the owner of my secondary school 150k back then for the best graduating student in government (waec). I won it & the money was never given to me or my parents, instead I was given a novel. Never trust Nigerians with money, give the money to the person directly instead.
Inosky:
How many people come get now? He for give it to the VC to share to make sure all students get equal amount

NIBBS is having issues. I was stranded today at the supermarket, I had to go back home to get my ATM card so that I could pay for my goods. Only same bank transfers are going through for now.

The award they gave justwise for best moderator should be revoked because he doing absolutely nothing and being selective when it comes to banning accounts. Just look at the rubbish this thread has turned into.

Keep your apologize, I don't need it. Learn to mind your business.
Domaining101:
Please i didn't mean to upset you at all, i just thought you were suffering alot because that rice and chicken looked so white and empty, as if they lacked spices and other ingredients. I felt like it was a once in a blue moon type of food that you probably borrowed limited resources to cook. I didn't mean to upset you at all please, my sincere apologies.

A lot of nairaland guys are mad. Nobody should quote me with rubbish or else I will insult you.
Food › Re: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures And Post It Here. SIMPLE! by missidy: 9:46am On May 13, 2024
Keep your rubbish prayer to yourself. I have never been in poverty and will never be. What do you mean by how I'm living? I cooked rice with chicken and you are calling it poverty. You must be very mad. Pray yourself out of poverty not me. I have an excellent job and side hustle that pays me well so you are the one that poverty is dealing with. Fool.
Domaining101:
play what did i say to warrant all these insults? I only prayed for you and you insulted me in return. Or do you like how you're living?

Please anyone has an experience with this school?
missidy:
Please who has any experience with university of Rhode island? I have sent messages to the emails they put on their website yet no response from any till today. They didn't even put the contract of the graduate coordinator unlike other schools. It's so frustrating. How can someone contact them?
