Not according to the Bangladeshi government. They made it categorically clear she has never had citizenship of any kind and would be rejected if she applied.

One of the main reasons the numbers have dropped sharply is that the Home Office introduced a genuine vacancy test which needs to met before CoS can be issued, targeting the many sham agencies that were selling CoS with no job/hours.

Visas are still being issued where there is a genuine vacancy. Plus the sector currently has a greater supply of labour than available jobs.

Begum has already exhausted her legal rights all the way to the UK Supreme court. The only route back is if the government decides do a UTurn on their explicit position and reinstate her citizenship. But then they would also have to allow back the dozens of ex ISIS British fighters that were held in Syrian prisons. Begum isn't the only ISIS affiliated Briton stick abroad -she's just the most high profile.

Do you think Labour would really let back dozens of former ISIS terrorists into the UK? Would you be happy if they were housed next door to you while they are tried and rehabilitated?

On a more serious note, I believe this case turns on only 1 point...Did we make her stateless by removing her citizenship? Then we must reverse that. It's illegal and will be overturned in the courts.

I gather the UK tried this(making stateless) with an Individual ,E3 in 2017. The homeoffice had to reverse that decision. It's just not right.

As to having to let in everyone else who fought for IS, it doesn't necessarily follow as decisions are on a case-by-case basis.

Labour will not allow her back because majority of the country do not support such a move, and they've got enough to deal with with the grooming gangs and trying to bat away calls for a public inquiry. Then there's Tulip and other issues.
