It's time the truth about immigration went mainstream. Enough of the lies. The commenters are frothing at the mouth. Lol.They do not like the reality. More articles like this should be written in the daily mail.

This is not really true now,is it? People felt your line of discussion was rather offensive . That's all it is. No one is trying to silence you at all or deprive you of your right.

Just to be clear i am on this thread to network, vibes and let go of worries. You can take my comment whichever way you want that’s on you.
And I m trying to point out that this is beer parlour talk . And we don't want to hear it.
You can exchange numbers and chat all you want . But it's probably best not to say stuff like this on the thread.

I find this thread of discussion rather disrespectful to all the women on this thread. (It sounds alarmingly close to beer parlour talk)

You wouldn't like it if I reduced men to their parts and started a discussion on that here now, would you?

I m sorry if it feels like I m picking on you. I m not. I thought it would just be the 1 aberrant comment but it seems to be dragging on and on.

@rock86 it's bigoted to apply a broad brush to all the members of a group. If the British had applied that to Nigerians you wouldn't be here. You have to relate to people one on one to make a judgement.

Morning all, could someone please suggest a cure for eczema and itchy skin for a 3-year-old girl based on past experience, please?

She's had eczema since she was 1 year old, initially appearing only on both knees. We've been using Aveeno cream since then, but it got worse this year when it started appearing all over her body. We took her to the GP, and she prescribed a steroid. It clears it away temporarily, but it comes back even more after withdrawing the steroids.

She keeps waking up during the night due to itching and can sometimes take 1 to 2 hours before she falls back asleep. As a result of the scratching, we also can't sleep until she sleeps.

She's not always in a good mood during the day as she spends lots of time scratching all over her body.

She's been sent back home a couple of times from nursery due to that.

List of stuff we've used: Aveeno, Zerobase, Hydromol, Epimax, Dermol lotion for bathing, steroid cream, Piriton for itching (this makes her too sleepy).
I would suggest back to GP to get referred to dermatology. Or go private.

I wouldn't put anything suggested here on a toddler's skin tbh

I don’t think Kemi will win. I think it’s between Rob and Tom.

But I still admire Kemi and used Kemi as a model when I spoke with my daughter yesterday.
Two months ago, I ‘forced’ my daughter to watch/listen to Dianne Abbott. I also sent an email to Dawn Butler previously, asking if my daughter could meet with her.
Whereas some see them as just politicians, I see them as strong role models for my Daughter of Nigerian heritage.
Awww, too cute 😍. My major driver is my mother's ruddy CV. Woman has led everything leadable and I haven't even started. I m sure she is watching you and learning.

Dawn and dianne are corbyn allies ie democratic socialists like me . There are opportunities for children to explore Parliament and meet MPs. I ll keep my eyes peeled and post here so you can take her. Follow Parliament on social media too so you catch other opportunities too

Kemi Badenoch is truly disgusting, and I for one would prefer PMs (or substantive PMs) to be white English at least for now. We've all seen what those people of colour have done when in power, either as PM or home secretary or whatever - they cry more than the bereaved.

Imagine kemi Badenoch as PM during the last riots across UK? She'll definitely blame the immigrants for the crisis, rather than arrest the far right protesters. Sunak too would have been too indecisive (or afraid for fear of misconception) to act. Let PMs or leaders of parties remain pure white British, they are more measured in their actions and don't tend to cry more than the bereaved.
This would mean nothing nothing for you till perhaps the 20th generation...no matter how good you are,you will still get decisions made for you even by wallies like bonzo and liz truss so long as they are "white British "?
I don't think that's a good outcome. When it comes to governance, let's promote meritocracy imho

@zahra29, the daughter of a doctor and a lecturer belong squarely in the middle class. Working at mcdonalds at age 16 for some pocket money doesn't make you working class.

I don't know why she is so focused on this. It doesn't matter, empathy and the milk of human kindness has no class. I remember Tony Benn,he was a radical leftist despite being born to the aristocracy. Even gave up his title to sit in the commons.

If you’ve followed my musings here, I’m sure you would’ve noticed that I don’t do headlines only.
I watched and listened to Tom from beginning to end. His position on the ECHR is/was spot on! What Tom said about the ECHR is far, very far away from what you posted above.

It’s the same thing when Kemi was asked about the ‘bonfire to European laws post Brexit’ she gave a perfectly great answer… unfortunately, some of those who oppose the Tories have (let me borrow James O’Brien’s illustration) their red scarves 🧣 so tightly round their necks, it reduces the amount of oxygen to their 🧠. Those lot can never see anything right with anything from the blue side.

I implore you, watch a replay of exactly what Tom’s response was on the ECHR and tell me if there is anything wrong with that response.
What was Tugendhats position?he wants to leave "PART OF IT"
What was Badenochs position? She wants to leave but not yet

I m sorry but The ECHR is non-negotiable. It's not on the table at all. Why are we talking about taking our rights away? They say they need to leave because it stops them deporting illegal immigrants but watch the current government will deport illegal immigrants while remaining in the ECHR. These things are not rocket science now,are they?

Just out of interest ,which of these rights would you give up for yourself and your loved ones?

As a woman, I would love to have a 3 year maternity pay. ‘Problem’ is, someone somewhere is paying for it. In taxes. I do not totally align with Kemi on this.

She said: "Maternity pay varies, depending on who you work for - but statutory maternity pay is a function of tax, tax comes from people who are working.

"We’re taking from one group of people and giving to another. This, in my view, is excessive.
Children are the future of any nation. Without them ,we would soon die out. Yet the people responsible for ensuring the longevity of this nation are penalised heavily for it.
Women lose 2 yrs on average from their career, pension earnings, experience for every pregnancy. They then go on to lose even more each time they have to stay out of work for childcare.

It's no wonder fewer and fewer women are choosing to do this particular type of national service( pregnancy is national service in my opinion)

Instead of providing incentives , this woman is saying another thing. Me I shock o,I no go lie.

(I think mat pay should be full pay not this half pay then there should be free nurseries for women to go back to work. Without tackling the highcost of childcare, fertility rate will stay low.
Who wants to be working just to pay the babysitter? )

Hi Everyone, some serious advice needed here.

A friend of mine on the 5 year path to ILR(skilled worker visa) is not getting her contract renewed.
1. How long can she remain legal in the country after her current visa expires while she searches for a job?

2. How long can she be on this break from a Tier 2 visa before the 5 year clock to ILR resets.

I ve had a read through the guidance (very arcane) and wondered whether my reading of it was correct.

Thanks Everyone for having a read of my question

From my reading, the answer to both questions is 2 weeks.

There are quite a few very politically switched on people on here. There will be a heck of a lot to discuss in the next few months.
Shall we take ourselves off to a new UK/US politics thread? Where we can natter to our hearts content?

This thread is probably best suited to credit card, drivers license issues and the likes...
It's just a thought...what do you think?
