I don't see any reaction from you on that but you were quick to criticize the other side on child poverty.

It's just one month and they've increased tax on energy companies from 75 to 78%, banned North sea oil and gas exploration. The majors are withholding new investment in the UK, what does that do to jobs. One or two are planning on moving their hq from the UK, will that stop or reduce pollution as they pander to the climate change people, we are only outsourcing our emissions to other countries. O&g industry is highly regulated and the pollution you get from exploration and drilling is much less than so many other countries. This is what the new govt has done on a month and the results will begin to show in time.
There is a climate emergency, do you not know this? Fossil fuels are directly responsible . I am in support of the government policy on this as I do not have any other planet to live on.
Also it's affecting my other country ,Nigeria which does not have the finances to mitigate the damage. Sahara is advancing while coastal areas are flooding regularly .
Prevention is better and cheaper than cure so I welcome this policy.
Go Labour.

If you get caught in a riot, run in the opposite direction

The last time this happened in 2011,it took months but courts ran 24hrs everyday for weeks. Many got jail terms young and old.

The Director of public prosecutions at the time was one keir starmer who you may have heard of.

I wasn't here but I ve read this now from a quite a few KCs on twitter. They were wee lawyers at the time but still remember

Again, I challenge you. Write out what far right means, and what far left means and elaborate on the differences, with examples. Then allow others to class you, based on what you have supported, written or agreed with. That’s all.
I mean I have repeatedly explained what 'far' means but I cannot understand it for you. I can only throw ignoramuses a rope of knowledge in their deep mire of ninnyhammerness,I cannot force them to climb up it. Hey ho...shrugs

First vote new parliament - end the two child benefit cap. What happened to we can't let the children starve and child poverty. 7 MPs were suspended because the voted to end it. More of same?

"Ahead of the vote, Sir Keir said there is “no silver bullet” to end child poverty but acknowledged the “passion” of MPs who were considering opposing the continuation of the Tory measure." Independent 24th July
Oh come on, are you still saying this? Are you planning to return your inflation busting pay rise(something the blasted tories refused to do) ?

Quite generous coming from someone who was giving us a lecture on tax and insinuating those who who do not support her stance on VAT on private schools or taxing landlords till they shiver e.t.c wanted UK to become Nigeria. Shouldn't surprise you that many people against some of those have paid their fair share and more.

All said, seems you have bigger issues with folks here. I many times respond based on content not moniker. Chill my sister. It's just another forum
You still haven't answered the question. Why far left? I m dragging this for the edification of thread visitors. Make person no go call im colleague "far right" or "far left" for work. You go kuku go hr explain wetin you mean.

The only issue that's up for discussion is your justification for labelling me "far left" ? Do you know what that term means? I am left of centre but I have never eschewed the democratic process or advocated for trampling on human rights. These 2 things would make me far left.
You shouldn't just parrot rishi sunak. She was supporting the tories up till the election .even with all their iniquities. Soo... shrugs. As for Zahra...another shrug.

He was just blatantly and disrespectfully evading those questions. If I was a black voter in the US and was yet undecided before the interview, he just gave me a good reason to either vote for his opponent or not vote at all. But then I think the first interviewer also gave him a perfect avenue to be his arrogant self. She could have asked those questions in a more friendly manner and still nailed him. She was more hostile than being professional - it's like trying to engage in a mud fight with a pig - you can't win.
She only quoted him then asked why any black person should give the time of day to anyone who thinks and says that about minorities. It was chefs kiss. He doesn't get enough hard questions. More of this please

Those first set of questions were perfectly legitimate questions but Trump could not help himself . I don’t know why his handlers allowed him to appear on that program, Trump got no regard for decency, I thought after the failed assassination attempt he will be more of a peacemaker but no he kept on doing what he knows how to do best.
All the questions were legit. He said and did all those things he was being asked about. He is a racist ,fascist wannabe. All flaws,no redeeming feature(didn't think that was possible)

The delay in starting was because his team refused to let the conference factcheck him in real time. His penchant for lying of course is well known and he lied throughout this interview.

thanks for posting this.

You see, this is why it is good to post full content and not just run with headlines. I encourage everybody to watch that video and contribute to this topic with your thoughts (without prejudice, if you can).

I watched all 35 mins and here are my unfazed and unfiltered thoughts.

1. Thumbs up to Trump for showing his great mental health/state and fortitude. Man spoke for 35mins without notes or a teleprompter and answered question after question in what appeared initially to be a hostile environment, and yet didn't flinch or stutter...👏. More props to him for adequately shutting lady in blue down, that was a horrible ambush-style introduction to an interview you invited a person to...He shut her down with finesse..and segued effortlessly to lady in pink. Trump has lived most of his life in front of a camera, she should have known better. I also like how he was salty to her alone, from start to finish. Gave her back her energy💯. Also like how he pointed the mic issues early on, which lady in pink corroborated

2. He answered well on cause of inflation and reducing inflation.

3. I don't like the choice of the word 'black jobs' he used, esp since he was in the midst of blacks, but if we stick to the crux of the subject and not the 'term' he used, he was telling the truth. Illegal immigrants are taking all the low to middle class jobs for cheaper pay, thus edging out the blacks who typically occupy said jobs. It is what it is. The educated and qualified ones including even black from Nigeria can get the juicy roles, but the reality is majority of blacks aren't educated or qualified enough to fill the juicy roles.

4. I like the joke about Kamala being Indian until it was time to be vice president and then became more black. What can I say, I have a sense of humour.

5. I don't like the comment about Kamala not passing her bar exam. That was totally unnecessary and tacky.

6. I like how he stylishly did not allow himself to be put on the hot seat for JD Vance's views. Let JDvance speak for himself.

7. I like how he espoused JD Vance's positive and notable qualities and accomplishments that made him pick him as running mate.

8. I don't like how he didn't answer the question on police immunity in cases like the Sonia shooting where evil cops kill innocent people. He dodged that one, albeit very unconvincingly. I hope he reflects on that and sees that he can't make an absolute decision to give popo immunity esp considering rampant circumstances like that where evil popo really do kill innocent people.

9. i like his stand on border control, always have.

10. On Roe V Wade, I like how he said the people are deciding by voting what should be what. That is commonsense. Let the people, decide by vote if they wanna just be better at preventing pregnancies than aborting pregnancies. I like how he clarified for those who don't know, that the exceptions for rape, threat to mother's life still are in force despite ROE v Wade.

11. On the Jan capitol rioters, i don't like how he says they did no wrong, although I understand what he is driving at. Nonetheless, two wrongs don't make a right. He is saying though, know that others have done worse and still did worse as recent as 5 days ago, but no outrage at all unlike the outrage for the Jan rioters, simply cos he isn't involved. Yes we see the hypocrisy he is trying to point out, but it was foolhardy of him to justify the illegality on record like that. Wrong is wrong, doesn't matter if the other side is a hypocritical one, you shouldn't be the one to justify an obviously illegal act just cos the other side is just as guilty. He allowed his emotion get the better of him here.

All in all, dude was super sound for the most part and held his own, even did very well taking control of that environment. I don't understand why you feel he crashed 🤷
I am very grateful to whoever advised him to go to this.
He lost the few black votes he had.
I m doubly sure now that he ll lose and I rest my case till November

Just to play devil's advocate a little - you regularly label the likes of Kemi, Farage and others as far right (sometimes worse e.g. skinheads) based on the views you hold of them and your definition of far right.

In the same way, others will have formed a view of you based on your comments, and to some people you will come across as far left - whatever far left means to them. It's all subjective.
All these people you mentioned have expressed views that violate people's human rights. That's the difference . That's why they are far right views. You can be on the left or the right, once your view takes leave of the democratic way of doing things or violates human rights, you become "far" . It is not a fancy definition you can apply to whoever you want . It's a recognised specific term.
That goes for everyone ,whether you are advocating for police to kick people in the head etc.

Even you should be able to tell the difference.

NB: hope you are proud of your reform uk leaders role in inciting violence in Southport. You must be beside yourself in glee. Yippee

That is your definition or Far Left & Far Right?
So you mean far left and far right are basically the same when it comes to Himan rights and Democracy?

My sister. I described you as far left. Which I think is correct. Someone described you as a former far right (when you were in Nigeria) based on evidence. I think that is correct too.

You see the whole thing about far right and far left? It is for others to classify based on what they have heard/see you do/voice out. You can’t deny being a far-leftist, when you can’t even say in a sentence what/who far leftists are.
You obviously have not the slightest idea what those terms mean.
Please don't address me as "far" anything again.

Thank you kindly.

Kindly Provide evidence or withdraw your statement. Both of them. Yes I saw the mentions.

1.Kindly provide evidence to support labelling me as "far left"? If you cannot, then you must correct the record. I am absolutely left of centre as a social democrat and have been from time immemorial but definitely not far left. I can explain what far left is but I cannot understand it for you.

2. I seem to have made a few unlikers with my stance on tax. I know a country where very few people pay taxes. That country is called Nigeria,a veritable heaven on earth(I m being sarcastic). Tax is the price you pay to live here in security and comfort. Everybody pays something but the richest pay the most. This is the same concept used all over the world.

3. This may sound strange to you but not every rich person complains about taxes. Tony Benn didn't, warren buffet, keir starmer doesn't, J.O.B doesn't. I m nowhere as rich but I don't ,as well. I only want everyone to be taxed, there should be no sacred cows. You live here, you pay your taxes.

Before Elections: Our plans are fully costed and will not require any tax rises. We have looked at the books and our plans are fully, fully costed.

After Elections: Uhmm… sorry. We may have to raise your taxes because the past government left too much black hole.

Wait a minute, the UK is not Nigeria. The OBR already gave you precise figures. You ran your voice hoarse during the campaigns that you have it all figured out. Now you are in government…
“E be like say dem wan to tell us another story again..”

It remains to be seen how long they will continue to lie and blame ‘16 years of the PDP’ oh sorry… 14 years of the Conservatives.

Like I said before… Like UK Labour, like Nigeria APC. Just capitalise on people’s discontent with the governing party. Lie your way to power. Realise that there is only so much lies you can keep doling out…. Then blame ‘past administrations’.
I am more interested in where that 20 billion went. We have poopy public services so can't have been spent on that.
Where did it all go??

Of course Labour will raise taxes. It ll just not raise income tax, national insurance and VAT. That was the promise

Just out of curiosity. Did you watch just the 1 video which was originally released, or have you watched the other videos, including the one released by the Manchester evening news?

Stamping and kicking someone in the head when they are not resisting is not police procedure. QED the police agrees with me on that point. The people involved have been charged too.i have no issues with that.

I still maintain that it is always best to have a complete picture before making decision on actions of the UK police.

I think you are wrong in this. I can have an opinion on excessive use of force.its clear for all to see.

Policing by consent indeed…. So yobs and thugs can beat up the police, but the police cannot use force to restrain the unruly misfits.

I m not clear on where I said this.

You could argue that the police officer who did the kicking was dazed and confused and terrified from the beating he received from that thug. He was clearly rattled and dazzled after that thug attacked him, and his colleague, in the 1st instance.

I m not sure this argument will fly. He has been trained for just these types of situations to maintain his cool. He is a professional and expectations are justifiably higher.

This is completely apropos of nothing but there is a tendency for some people to emphasize that the injured officers were female as if that aggravates the criminal assault more than if they had been male. I disagree,They are trained professionals as well and chivalry does not apply in professional settings

Anyone that assault our public officers should be punished severely. Those thugs should be taken off our streets.

They should thank their stars that they assaulted a police in Uk and not in the US.
I do not defend unruly behaviour and assault. I will not also defend excessive use of force.

It's rather belittling to compare our police to the US. It's better here and they do police by consent. That's how they can keep the peace without arms.
I m a fan of the UK police. They have a difficult job to do and there are quite a few bad eggs but they are great.
