That last part!!!

Ok, thing is, I've heard people say to avoid Nigerians or some Africans as they can put one in trouble
But you are here, asking us questions.
Your friends will depend on you. If you are a scammer you ll attract scammer friends.

I think you are overpreparing for the social side of your life here. I would rather you overprepare for the professional side of your life. Do you know all the guidelines for your work? No? Shall we start on that, perhaps?.

As for Bedford, I would just Google it , follow their local newspapers on social media, join neighbourhood groups and you ll have more than enough information.

We had a rabblerouser on this thread called kumbhuru whose capacity for inane questions was unmatched. I wonder where he is?

Lol.

Is it everything you must copy from the west ?

Your #Me Too crap won't fly .

Besides , do you now that the hash sign # is actually known as the pound sign ? It was Twitter geeks that relabelled it to "hash" when it's actually stands for "pound".

So if you decide in future to start a Twitter movement with the tag #Me Too, know that you are simply saying "Pound Me Too".

Mumu copycats.
This is soo lame that I doubt you came up with it all by yourself.

I doubledare you to pick up your phone and call up any woman in your life ( mother, sister, significant other, daughter) and ask if they ve ever been SAed.

I said SA not r**e . Then come back, delete this comment and apologise.

I just saw the bolded. Yes, that is correct.

Again, I did not call it emergency contraception anywhere in my posts. I wrote out the name of the emergency contraceptive Postinor 2 just to be clear I was talking about different levels/tiers
My bad. Do carry on.

This one no be Google, although e dey Google sha. I'm telling you facts. Up to 2weeks post coitus, e go activate menstruation up to 80% of the time.. and out comes the lining and everything on the lining.

Yes, I already said up to 72hrs is the best. Infact to be quaint, up to 48hrs is best, by 72hrs success rates already down to 50%.

But make no mistake, menstruation can be kick-started by medication up to 2weeks post coitus with a 80% success rate. If you Google it, it will show you the medication. Not advocating for this, I'm just sharing information due to this convo ni o, based on even personal experience not Google or hearsay. Just trying to show that so much can be done that doesn't include abortion after a rape
What emergency contraception does this ? Note that I haven't said Medical Termination.

[quote author=Treadway The one wey go do the do even up to 2weeks post-coitus sef dey.

.[/quote]Apropos of nothing,I don't think this is correct. An embryo is already safely ensconced in the womb . No emergency contraception can get at it at 2weeks GA. Medical and surgical Terminations will be effective .

Just correcting the record. You never know who might be reading. Emergency contraception should be on board within 72 hrs to stand the best chance.

American women are not a monolith. There is a sizeable number that think that abortion is immoral, for example many would disagree with the freedom to terminate a healthy pregnancy at the stage when the baby would have been able to survive outside the womb. A woman has rights, but so also does an innocent baby who can feel, hear, move. It's not a black and white issue.
Who is advocating for this? Roe v wade never did. That would be murder.
Travel › Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by missjekyll: 12:31pm On Jul 06, 2024

You are hearing right, in many states in US abortion is banned in almost all circumstances, some abortion is ban after 6wks, republicans run states are pushing for a complete ban on abortion hence my unanswered question
Abolishing roe v wade left it up to each individual state to make their own laws on abortion.

Progressive states like carlifornia, ny , Washington dc have kept the right to abortion.
Some rabid states like alabama, florida have essentially banned abortion.
American women are very angry about this and are gearing up to vote against the republicans. Democrats need to find a good candidate.

since I'm all for factual and correct information and enlightenment, I will speak to the bolded.😎😁

Roe v Wade both when it was in force and now that it has been overturned, always have in both instances allowed for abortion when the mother's life is at risk.

3ven with Roe v Wade it would be illegal to remove a 6 months old preggo, fundamental human right notwithstanding, cos it poses a threat to the woman's life. And without Roe v Wade, an early high risk preggo with severe co-morbidities like diabetes, hypertension or say an ectopic pregnancy would be legal to be terminated, as not doing so poses a threat to the woman's life.

The end!
Is that true of rabid states like florida though? Why am I hearing about women travelling to abort babies who do not have brains and would suffer and eventually die soon after birth?

This is not a gotcha question. I haven't been paying attention to the US for a while

Hello nairaland
I stayed in 2 bedroom apartment with my family, a neighbor next to my flat is snowing so heavily that I can't sleep, I don't even know his name. In the compound, we hardly interact like that because of the way it was structured. How do i confront this guy, his own apartment is the only selfcon in the compound and next to my bedroom. I can't sleep seriously. I'm wondering how can someone be snowing so loudly that u can hear him in another apartment?

I once tried to imagine the face/nature of the human being behind this moniker of Missjekyll. The nature of the unmarried horticulturist Gertrude Jekyll comes to mind, but that woman had too many positives compared to this one. The Missjekyll here stays more true to Jekyll and Hyde - a person with two very different sides to their personality, one good and the other evil (also obnoxious.)

It would have been very explosive sharing a physical room/space with the person behind the Missjekyll moniker though. To think up the kind of "shylockness," wickedness, "opportunisticness," "preying on the poorness," etc in that her (?) post, type it till the end, proof read it and still post it without conscience intervening somewhere along the line is just unbelievable! Man's inhumanity to man truly knows no bounds!!!
If I remember rightly, I had a run in with you over what I perceived as rabid homophobia.
I regret nothing and would do it again in a heartbeat. Adhominem attacks notwithstanding.

I honestly don’t understand any black voter supporting Reform or Trump. Maybe someone will educate me about any underline reason that I’m struggling to get my head around
1 reason was because of vat on private school fees.
I ve only seen 1 immigrant voting for reform. I m sure they have a very good reason for supporting leaving the ECHR and privatising the NHS. Maybe they have bags of money.( that didn't save rishi who was immediately called the p word by these fine upstanding citizens of reform uk)

BouharryArtikou:
Sorry. You are being extremely hypocritical, and it’s not nice.

Just a few years ago, you saw a piece of land. In Nigeria . You wanted to buy for your mother. You had the money. The sellers wanted to sell. Your mother was happy to buy. You instructed your mother to hold fire and not buy. But wait for that same land to become a ‘distress sale’ so that the sellers will be forced to drop the price.

What does ‘distress sale’ mean?

You wanted the sellers’ children to be sent home from school for school fees, then the ‘distressed’ sellers will sell the land to you for peanuts.

You wanted the sellers to be in an accident, no money for hospital bills. Become distressed. Then sell the land to you for cheap, in their desperation.

That, my friend is not bang for buck. That, is Shylock and not nice, I dare say it’s wicked.

You even openly expressed happiness that Nigéria is in recession, because (by implication), desperate poor people will be forced to sell things on the cheap, so that you can lap it all up.

Yet, the same you will be pontificating and creating an image of uprightness.

I’m sorry. It’s not right. You can’t be a Shylock in Nigeria, and be a Lover of the poor in the UK. Can you?
Shrugs. OK

Have you voted? Polls open till 10pm
