To be honest I'm not sure, the only two options I can think of:
1) Go to TLS explain the situation and hear your options ( I think there’s an option for keep passport)

2) Send mail, explaining situation and requesting for your passport.

It might take 10 days to get it back and he might lose his visa too.

I'm really trying so hard not to get frustrated with this situation But I know God will be glorified last last.

Pls is there anyway one can retrieve their int’l passport as a result of this delay?...asking for a friend who’s in the same shoes as mine and needs to go on an official trip by September 3rd...this was clearly indicated in his visa application o....yet, no response till today.

For funds you can say family support and savings over the years.

11 years gap: maybe you were working and didn't want to pursue msc till you had valuable experience
Note that everyone’s situation is different and other questions can arise from your answer.

Except you've been told you will be interviewed, not everyone gets interviewed be hopeful.

Please for those who have attended interview before, If asked how you got your funds how do I answer the interviewer? i got the funds transferred to my account by my uncle. just a bit nervous on questions around fund. Would appreciate a response.

You're not the only one, I also applied around the same time and got a mail too. Maybe we got the same ECO (Officer working on our documents)

Just have faith and keep praying it will come. I doubt your passport is the reason.
I think They are running checks on our documents.

Hi everyone. I need your advice on what to do.

I applied for my visa and had my biometrics on the 28th of July, 2021. I received a non-straightforward email on the 2nd of August, 2021. It's a priority service.

My passport as at the time of application had 4 months + validity because I thought it will be too late to get a new before visa application (it takes 6 weeks now).

Now, today is the 21st working day after biometrics and I've made series of calls and sent paid emails to UKVI. They kept saying awaiting decision.

1) Could my passport validity be the reason for the delay?

2) Can I put my application on hold and request for my passport at the VAC to renew it and get a new one to continue my application?

@MissOwaa , permit me to campaign after election..lol as I noticed you have once reached out to me.
Firstly, don't stress much, your uni will wait. I had similar experience last year. Uni resumed 7th Sept , placement began like some 2 weeks after but I resumed online lectures as everyone, entred UK October 4th and resumed placement after October half term. I only got 3 weeks extra to stay at my 2nd placement school to finish the course.

Secondly, I had a similar issue with visa, albeit standard but it took more than one month with a second interview that lasted 50minutes on phone.
I may say that PGCE isn't very popular with international students, this may be the reason for the delay if of course your application is straightforward/convincing.

I know it's hard to stay sane during the waiting period, but love, if your application has no course for doubt, you will get your visa, get on your prog when you can and finish well as well.

If I may ask, what University are you going?

The only reason I'm bothered with the delay is cause I resume on the 1st of September and its mandatory 100 percent attendance.

If you got things right with the application then the delay shouldn't bother you.

Yes, my training is on the same level with masters. It's a post graduate course in Education that leads to a teaching qualification. It's for 11 months Or is there any other criteria I should have looked out for? Please let me know.

I applied as a student and he's my dependent, I only paid for priority cause my resumption date was close.

priority Service is a waste of money thesedays as it takes longer than standard application sometimes.

They are probably checking documents you submitted.. bank statement, degree and marriage certificates.

If they are unable to get feedback from the awarding bodies on time then your application will be delayed

Please I need help understanding something, I applied for a Student visa with my husband. I'm going for a PGCE Course.

I applied 20 working days ago (priority ) and no reply till now though I got a non straight forward mail 2 working days after my application.

Upon contacting the UKVI, they replied and said they are running *mandatory checks* .

Please has anyone come across this, and what does it mean?

I've contacted my banks and they said they've not been contacted by the embassy.

Please can someone explain what mandatory checks mean and the criteria they use to pick who gets checked.

I resume physically on the 1ST of September and attendance is compulsory. With all these going on I'm at wits end on what to do!

I Just want to encourage everyone waiting for their visas! Just keep praying and believing God will do it.

I applied on the Thursday 29th priority in Abuja and I got a Non straight forward mail on Tuesday 2nd since then nothing. I’ve sent paid mails twice now no reply.

I resume physically on the 1st of September, at this point the urge to give up is strong but I keep believing I’ll scale through and so would you. Tell God what you will do for him if he answers you and he will do wonders.

So cheer up! We will all testify in Jesus name.

It doesn’t matter pay for yourself then pay for dependent separately too.
It’s also possible the dependent will be lower just go on.

Your application might be transferred to VAC today. I did priority, I was suppose to get my visa on Wednesday. I mailed them and they said decision has been made since 31st. My apply just moved to VAC this morning. Same for my friend. It was like 5 or 6 days after decision that he got collection mail
