Siena: Alfchye, you're rambling, and making little sense.
No one owes anyone an apology here. Star status has absolutely nothing to do with anything.
The point is, everyone has a right to life, celebrity or common man. The fact is many people are wailing at Da Grin's death, when in fact many have lost relatives this year, yet showed less emotion. Let the dead rest in peace, regardless of if that person's a superstar or beggar. Unless you're saying a superstar has more right to live than a pauper? Are you saying only those that understand Yoruba should respond to this thread? You're not making any sense!
I too had never heard of Da Grin till his death. The fact I never knew him makes no odds - it doesn't matter how popular he was, he's still a still a human, (or was) rest his soul. No one said anything about not missing him, though how can one miss someone they've never met? His music will still live on, so you won't miss that either.
And lastly, if American's don't speak English, what on earth do they speak? Jeeze, please don't tell me they speak American? Talk about being ignorant! Lmao @ the last 2 lines.!! I think I should ask permission from Your wife before I buy You a drink. You've said it all, thank You. |

Siena: When Missy B said his death's been exaggerated, I can see where she's coming from. People die every day, but life goes on, did you expect the world to come to a standstill? That's the point she's making. Can you honestly say no Nairalander's had a death in the family this year? And how many of them bemoaned the passing of their loved ones as much as this young man's? That's where the exaggeration comes in! Thank you! ayettymama: there are no lessons to learn from his death, what kind of talk is that?? Why don't You drink and drive too or have the mentality that Everyone lives forever since You haven't learnt nuffin from his death ayettymama: theres no one to blame- the drunk driving were rumours, speedin, rumours, none of u were there the night of the accident Can You prove that he wasn't drunk? ayettymama: death is exagerated- oboi i cannot believe people utter such words- how would u feel if your relative died and someone said that to you?? Yes, I said his death is exaggerated. No disrespect to him [The dead] and I owe no apology to any of his ''mourners''. If it were a madman, a child suffering from kwashiorkor, a beggar or a 'common person', would You all create millions of threads just to mourn the person? Why is it that when a star dies everyone is hitting their head on the wall and when it's the common man, the best he/his family get from strangers is ''Sorry''? What makes DaGrin's death different from that of a love-peddler? Why the false cry, when after 2 months You all will practically forget he ever existed unless You hear his song? Do You want me to dig out some threads on the death of some Nigerians and let's count how many of these threads You posted on just to show how sorry You are? What's with the make-believe? People Die everyday, it's not Fair on their Loved ones but people Die. People must Die. |

Siena: I remember being in shock, when we received the news of my mum's death, two days after it happened. I also remember taking a long walk, and seeing cars driving past, music playing, people laughing, kids playing etc. People die everyday, yet life must go on, life won't grind to a halt, stranger's won't share your grief. Apart from the fact that Your entire post is touching, this part is going to re-play in ma head for a long time. I said before, on a similar thread - Missy B: DaGrin's death is just Like the death of any other person. It could have been a medical Doctor, a madman, a hungry child or just anybody. In less than 6 months, this Dude's name wouldn't exist on the Lips of many people mourning him today. Let everyone pick a lesson from this. . .Who don Die, Don Die. |

Money doesn't exist for men alone. You Lot cry when we ask for money and when we try making Ours, You still cry. What the Flip do You want? How are we to be blamed for Your insecurities? Money controls people [men and women]especially when it's more than one can handle. Just find a Lady/man who has made it/strives to make it and is disciplined enough to maintain her/his personal values at the same time. |

Dolemite: Don't bring the god dammed bible into this!! it's just a coincidence. . . Kx: I just heard the song now. He said if he died, make u nor cry for him.
Gosh, people should watch what they say. Even the Bible say,the power of life and death is in the tongue.
Ironically, most people just say things without knowing it could have implications, why would a living soul sing of death just to make money? RIP Gbam!! |

Dolemite: Part of me regrets his demise and another part says you reap what you sow. He was driving drunk and had an accident, i say it's better him than some innocent person who becomes a victim of his drink driving. . . like Ibinabo Fiberesima killing someone on the road because she was drunk. You reap what you sow people. On this, I agree with You! |
