The point is, everyone has a right to life, celebrity or common man. The fact is many people are wailing at Da Grin's death, when in fact many have lost relatives this year, yet showed less emotion. Let the dead rest in peace, regardless of if that person's a superstar or beggar. Unless you're saying a superstar has more right to live than a pauper? Are you saying only those that understand Yoruba should respond to this thread? You're not making any sense!

I too had never heard of Da Grin till his death. The fact I never knew him makes no odds - it doesn't matter how popular he was, he's still a still a human, (or was) rest his soul. No one said anything about not missing him, though how can one miss someone they've never met? His music will still live on, so you won't miss that either.

And lastly, if American's don't speak English, what on earth do they speak? Jeeze, please don't tell me they speak American? Talk about being ignorant!

When Missy B said his death's been exaggerated, I can see where she's coming from. People die every day, but life goes on, did you expect the world to come to a standstill? That's the point she's making. Can you honestly say no Nairalander's had a death in the family this year? And how many of them bemoaned the passing of their loved ones as much as this young man's? That's where the exaggeration comes in!

I remember being in shock, when we received the news of my mum's death, two days after it happened. I also remember taking a long walk, and seeing cars driving past, music playing, people laughing, kids playing etc. People die everyday, yet life must go on, life won't grind to a halt, stranger's won't share your grief.

It could have been a medical Doctor, a madman, a hungry child or just anybody.

just got d info dat the girl who made me understand d meaning of love is dead.she died in d u.s.infact we were supposed to go to florida for studies.my admission didnt work cos of finance but she succeeded.after few months,we lost contact.a friend just told me dat  she was involved in a motor accident few years ago.i never heard d news until yesterday.i thought i was going to see her someday.why do special people die? can someone explain it to me?why her out of all the people in d world?

Part of me regrets his demise and another part says you reap what you sow. He was driving drunk and had an accident, i say it's better him than some innocent person who becomes a victim of his drink driving. . . like Ibinabo Fiberesima killing someone on the road because she was drunk.
