QUALITY CLOTHING MEANS HIGH STANDARD GARMENTS, OR COVERINGS FOR THE BODY, WHICH ARE FREE FROM DEFECTS OR SIGNIFICANT VARIATIONS.

Lmao!!!
Teasher, that was long but I'll quote only the part I need.

What exactly do you mean by ''High standard''? What makes a garment 'High standard'? Does it have to do with its cost?
Thanks in advance. grin

I read he [Ini's husband] made death threats against this ''Journalist'', and the Journalist wrote, saying he wanted to inform the reading public about it. In case anything happens to him, they know who's responsible.

''I write to condemn all the stories written about the sultry actress, Ini Edo on the soar-away news service provider, www.nigeriafilms.com. I never in anyway meant to malign or smear her good name. It was due to misinformation on the part of my sources.

I have discovered that the Cross River born versatile actress has never involved in any of the allegations earlier leveled on her person and Tonto Dike.

I sincerely tender my heartfelt apologies to Ini Edo, her husband, Philip Ehiagwina, who is one of the Nigeria born but America based dudes who has been living simple and unquestionable lifestyle for almost a decade and has never involved in any shady deal throughout his stay in the Uncle Sam’s country. I also retract the libelous story I wrote about him, Philip Ehiagwina. They are totally untrue.

This retraction is being issued by me to disabuse whatever insinuations her fans and family may be nurturing about her and Tonto Dike.

The stories are mere fabrication and hold no substance. I am deeply sorry for the unequivocal damage the stories might have caused Mr. and Mrs. Ini Edo, their families and Tonto Dike who was linked in the purported story and their entire fans home and abroad.

I hold the pretty actresses, Ini Edo and Tonto Dike's accomplishments in high esteem and I am very proud of what they have individually achieved in their chosen professions. My intention was not to drag their names in the mud.
The entire stories are all withdrawn''.

the last time I checked, wearing expensive clothing had nothing to do with being
well dressed.

Agreed!
Your first comment implied the contrary.

that dude that goes about wearing all those his fake designer clothes?

Being well dressed has a lot to do with wearing quality clothing, wearing outfits
that suit your body right, without going over the top, and generally making a good
selection of clothes that make you not only look good, but feel good.

What do You mean by ''Quality clothing''?

MRbrownJAY:

^^^^^ lol, at least, if you are going to write such a long reply, then ANSWER THE QUESTION instead of trying to dodge a bullet!!!!
I did not, neither do I intend to elude any question.
I stated my reason for not answering your last question.
We cannot be arguing B when we're yet to agree on point A.
Waste of time. Do you agree on the 3 points- Yes or no?

MRbrownJAY:

i can see that you have a problem answering simple questions and would rather answer questions WITH questions, lol.
No, I don't have a problem answering simple questions.
Yes, for some reasons- One of which is, I think the answer is sometimes best understood when it's in form of a question- , I sometimes reply questions with questions.
If you can answer my question, you'D have answered yours.
If you asked me - 'How does water taste'?, My reply could be - ''How did it taste when you drank it''? It's not so bad an answer, is it?

MRbrownJAY:

. . . . . . . . . . . . and you had the audacity to call that "being an adult"?!
MrbrownJay,
All you need, is a little calm, and You'll realize you're arguing over nothing.
Read my post again. I didn't say he's an adult because ''they are both using each other''. I said -  ''He is an adult, he knows what he wants and wants not''. Which implies, he's old enough to decide whether to marry the girl or not, do whatever or not.
If he didn't want to marry her, he wouldn't have. He did, because he wanted to. He was not under the influence of anyone, he acted according to his own will.
Who now has eyesight problem?

MRbrownJAY:

do you think "adults"just go around satisfying their own selfish desires without giving any thoughts/value on whats right or wrong?
Yes, adults do. Even children do. Everyone does.
We are all selfish and we do things [including marriage] for selfish reasons but sometimes, for some reasons, we learn to be unselfish [ Not selfless].
If we have nothing to gain, we don't do it. Yes, quote me anywhere.
This is anatha argument though [which in my opinion is more interesting than the back and forth verbal exchange you're making me take part  in].  angry

MRbrownJAY:

you want to marry your bf for love while he will accept to marry you simply because he wants your money(golddigger) but he has absolutely NO LOVE for you.
everyone gets what they want, right?! now, is it RIGHT or WRONG?!
If I desperately want to marry him, such that, getting married to him is my only desire and is of utmost importance, disregarding everything that comes afterwards [whether he loves me or not, he makes a good husband or not etcetera], then Yes, if he agrees to marry me [ thereby, satisfying my need]- it's a win on my side because I've obtained what I wanted.
And if he ends up getting money from me, as  desired,  it's a win on his side as well because he's obtained what he wanted. I can now say it's a win-win situtation.

We are both  adults, we know what we want, and we're getting it.
Nobody's expectation was dashed. As long as we're happy and not complaining, it's not the job of a third party to state whether the situtation is right or wrong.

What do you say of people that engage in 'friends with benefits'? Is it not a win-win situtaion, even though one may consider it wrong?

What do you say of trade by barter? I want a cup of water but I have a bottle of wine, you have a cup of water but want a bottle of wine. If we agree to exchange, thereby satisfying our needs, we can now say it's a win-win situation.
It's not the duty of a third party to state that the deal is wrong/irrational, because the monetary value of a bottle of wine surpasses that of a cup of water.
Seriously, I wonder why you can't understand a thing as simple as this.

PS: No apologies for the ''long post''. If you must get into an argument, you must be able to put up with lengthy posts.

MRbrownJAY:

^^^^^no we are DEFINITELY not saying the same thing. . . . . . . . . you are saying that its something positive while i am saying its completely wrong!
Now, this is funny!  grin  grin  grin

Lemme start by stating what a Win-Win situation means.
Simply put - It means a situation advantageous to both sides.

Having said that, I'll now go back to your previous comment.

MRbrownJAY:

people will use whatever is at their disposal to make them feel better and this gal and your friend are using each other for that!
In other words- Lady is getting what she wants from dude - Comfort.
Dude is getting what he wants from Lady - Marriage/ an affair.
They are using each other to - 1)get what they want and, 2) feel better.

Missy B:

Topic,
He's satisying his desire.
Only that, in the process, he's also satisying the Lady's.

Which makes it a Win-Win situation for both of them.
In other words - Dude is getting what he wants - Marriage.
Lady is getting what she wants - Comfort.

MrbrownJay,
Is it now clear that it's verbiage that seems to be the problem and, there isn't any difference in what You and I have said?

MRbrownJAY:

you are saying that its something positive while i am saying its completely wrong!
It doesn't matter what our final judgements are.
Important thing is we agree that -
a. They are using each other to get what they want
b. Each party is actually getting what s/he wants
c. Thus, they are not complaining.

MRbrownJAY:

how can you even say that two people getting married for the entirely wrong reasons is RIGHT or a "win win" situation?!
I don't want to continue going back and forth.
Affirm that WE agree [ You agree with me] on  the 3  points above and I'll answer this question.

Luke 3:22

New International Version
and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."
New Living Translation (©2007)
and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, "You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy."

English Standard Version
and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”

New American Standard Bible
and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, "You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased."

International Standard Version
and the Holy Spirit descended on him, appearing in the form of a dove. Then a voice came from heaven, saying, "You are my Son, whom I love. I am pleased with you!"

GOD'S WORD® Translation

and the Holy Spirit came down to him in the form of a dove. A voice from heaven said, "You are my Son, whom I love. I am pleased with you."

The Living Bible says '' The Holy Spirit, in the form of a dove settled upon him. . .''

I've learned something today. undecided
Religion / Re: The Dove Symbol - Pure Idolatry Or True Worship? by MissyB1(m): 9:12pm On Sep 06, 2010
Joagbaje:

The holy spirit taking a form of dove is contrary to truth  that God should not be represented by images. The bible didn't say the bodily shape was dove body. The descent was dovelike, but the body must have been human figure .because the holy spirit is a person. Flood , wind , fire, water have all been used to describe the manifestation of the spirit. "like a rushing mighty wind" that doesn't describe his person.  And we shouldn't. Use such images. If you must use an image, use my picture, he looks like me.

Difference between Love and Exploitation under the guise of Love - Whilst one is selfish, the other is unselfish.

Topic,
Your friend has done NOTHING wrong and No, he isn't a dumba$$.
He's an ADULT - Knows what he wants and wants not.
What you call foolishness, is his wisdom.
He's not on the losing side.  . . . .He's satisying his desire.
Only that, in the process, he's also satisying the Lady's.
Which makes it a Win-Win situation for both of them.
