My thoughts
- Pst Bakare is a good son and husband. He took care of his widowed mother and made sure his wife was treated as a queen! He didn’t ask to share the bills 50:50. He didn’t ask her what she was bringing to the table. He didnt bother about her salary.

- Pst Bakare said he manages the remaining money to work! This is deep! Women would give their lives and unalloyed loyalty to any man that is selfless and puts her and the kids first. They would do anything for such a man! Little wonder they have a successful marriage!

- Finally,I encourage men to emulate Pst Bakare’s style in marriage however in a case where the man is genuinely financially incapacitated, the woman should honourably and respectfully take over!

The write-up is trash! You claim someone earning $1000 in the US has a higher quality of life than someone earning N1.5 million in Nigeria! Big fat lie. First of all, someone earning $1000 a month cannot pay rent, doesn't qualify for health insurance, and live for hand to mouth. While someone earning 1.5m in Nigeria will have his own home, his own car, servants etc.
As the saying goes, it is better to be a king in the village that be a servant in a mansion eating leftovers and sleeping in the basement.

The Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Ministries International has rejected findings by the United Kingdom’s Charity Commission that accused the church of “serious financial mismanagement”.

In a report published Monday, the commission said it opened an inquiry after financial concerns were identified.

According to the regulator, the inquiry found that trustees in the MFM charity wing could not demonstrate that they had adequate oversight or control over more than 100 bank accounts operated by individual branches.

“As a result of its findings, the Commission took action to freeze the charity’s assets to prevent further loss,” the report noted.

In a statement provided to TheCable late Tuesday, Dan Aibangbe, MFM spokesperson, said the report was disappointing “though not surprising”.

“This investigation has been flawed from the onset,” he said.

Aibangbe admitted that there were “some shortcomings” from the church but added that “the charity commission has exaggerated the findings to fuel their faulty stand”.

“The MFM challenged the charity commission in court during the course of the investigation and got judgment against their mode of investigation.

“At no time was the assets of the MFM Charity in the UK frozen by a court or the Charity Commission.

“What happened was that the Building Funds of the Charity was wrongly without information to the Charity transferred from Barclays Bank to the Royal Bank of Scotland with only the Signatory being the Interim Manager.

“Upon discharge of the Interim Manager, the full funds with interest has been returned back to Barclays Bank under the custody and control of the Charity Trustees.

“No assets of the Charity was frozen under any court order.”

Aibangbe added that no trustee was found to be fraudulent or to have stolen any money.

He labelled the commission’s findings mischievous.

One thing you guys fail to realise is that all witnesses would be cross examined. So it's not about saying it's ipob or not. You need to have proof.

When things go bad for an individual, a company or a country's economy shouldn't people ask at least, what happened. For the simple reason to avoid such in future.

And the only way to get answers is by stirring debates on issues, not hiding them.

I remember when the economic downturn became noticable the then government blamed the situation on Covid. Poor income due to a collapse in the oil market. We all agree to that.

But how come other economies of similar structure have all since recovered and we are even worse than during the Covid period. How come only us have not recovered. Don't you want to know why.

How come we have not done an economic post mortem on 2013 to 2023 when most countries have instituted inquiries and gotten answers from those that ked during those periods.

Only us. That is why we carry on doing the same things over and over the same way and we expect in another time period after another pandemic or economic shock we will not start from scratch.

Nothing is going bad! Things are getting better. They say the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. We've taken that step and we're on the move. That's what counts. Most of us talk as is we were not in this country when the government was unable to pay something as basic as salary. For you to know where you're going, you've to know where you're coming from.
