I tried to,they were adamant. I see all them as my brothers and sisters because I am older than all them both married and unmarried.It was when the money came they beginning to see their foolishness and nonchalant. I am one of the school owners, I employed 13 staff, registered 7 for the find,six were unable to provide their account details.When the money were paid, I asked them to bring 15k each, I share it to the rest of six staff with three of them 15k, two got 12k each and one got 10k.I kept the remaining change as part of school commission. I further told them they shall do that for the remaining two payments.They were all happy with the arrangement because they could see the sincerity with which I used in sharing the money

I was shocked when my neighbor asked me why I didn't kill chicken to celebrate the EndSars festival.. That he just finished killing a Ram to celebrate it. He then asked mockingly, "abi you no know sey the world dey celebrate End of Sars?"..

I was puzzled.. Then I asked him, what is there to celebrate?

Then the lecture began.. He told me October has been chosen by "world leaders" to commemorate the day the notorious SARS Coronavirus (SARS-CoV), was defeated.

I must confess, I learnt a lot from the discussion. I never knew people were celebrating the end of that deadly virus. All this while, I was erroneously thinking they were protesting against a police unit, SARS.. But thank God for my friend.

Before I leave, I will use this opportunity to say, Happy End of Sars celebration to all Nairalanders.. May God deliver us from Covid-19 like he did us from SARS-CoV.
