elmoduddah: I don't want to believe this is true. Seun, which morderator is responsible for this? Or is it you?
Leave them. They finally unblocked me from replying. Shaking my head!
Nairaland General › Re: RESOLVED!!!!!! by mitchyy(op):
shopyboy: I agree with Ukelele. If you contact their Customer help desk or press@konga.com, they would respond to you swiftly. My experience with them was different. Konga actually tries...compared to other websites out there. Many of those are worse. Konga would likely have contacted them to resolve it...
Now I'm convinced most of you didn't read my post. Your experience with them? Were they your clients? Did you do a job for them? And even if you did, different strokes for different folks. They paid you, they refused to pay me. That's my issue.
Why should I be the one running around to get my money for job perfectly completed? Are social media influencers beggars?
I even went as far as calling the person in charge who was just yarning dust. Other publicists sent mails that were not replied. The best way to send them scurrying around was to use the same social media to rant.

All of a sudden, the phones that they said were exhausted until two weeks are now available. They have apologised and agreed to pay us.
I'll update this post now with their response!

So nairaland moderators are now staffs of Konga? Who is licking the boots of Konga here?
I don't want to believe they actually blocked me from commenting on my first thread on this issue. What gives anyone the right? Isn't this a public forum? - http://ww.nairaland.com/1889727/regret-annoying-experience-promoting-konga

Nairaland shouldn't start their own with me o. Seriously! My thread doesn't violate anyone of the rules so let me vent in peace!

EddyNumerouno: @OP, I feel ur pain as I was once ffucked up the arsee by a telecoms company who have a liking for the color red. Continue with your smear campaign untill u provoke a response.
No wonder this country is far down on the development ladder. Because of shady, poo, stingy brands like Konga and Infinix Mobile.

Trash!!! How can you be that stingy as to start cheating people out of their hard-earned money? I blame myself for not opting out with others because i trusted them

nenergy: The folly of modern Nigerian businesses. Fancy websites, unSMART goals and shady practises. You're not alone, you should go and see the trick they're using to promote this 'ZERO' product on Facebook. Making fans share their post to get a V-code that won't be sent.
My sister, now that you've come out public with this 'breach of contract', I doubt they'll even listen again. Learn from this lesson and move on!

I am disappointed in Infinix/Konga, I really thought they were organized. Designed in France my
foot! How can it be distributed exclusively by
Konga , yet people are getting it without pre-order
at micro-station for 23k. mtchew! I'm ashamed of
myself.... fretting over something I'm going to pay
with my money.
I'm glad i'm not the only one seeing them for who they really are. That is why i prefer insisting on payment upfront before i render any service. Some big brands are just full of poo. Konga is nothing short of an Alaroro. I've learnt my lesson. Other promoters who were not paid too have started sending me DMs relating their experience. I feel their pain too. They just used us but definitely won't get away with it!

OnyeEgo1: thank God u wanna end it. But u don't want to c a thread of anoda MUMU ba. Go onto twitter and do d needful.
Definitely. I was waiting for Saturday when everyone will be online to see what these so-called big players in the industry can stoop so low to do. Anyone who falls foolishly like i did henceforth, has himself to blame.
Nairaland General › Re: RESOLVED!!!!!! by mitchyy(op): 5:32am On Sep 06, 2014
OnyeEgo1: i just hope she heed my advice and do it constructively?... Op shey u sign any doc? Cos accordiong to section in d constitution which emphasis on LEGAL BINDING btw the principal(konga.com) n d agent(U)
I didn't sign any agreement same way you don't sign agreement when you purchase products online. I don't intend to pursue it legally, since they are that hungry as to sly their way out of paying. I'll just ensure anyone i come across know how shady they are when it comes to paying for services. I should have backed out when some other publicists did if i was aware angry

UPDATE!!!!!!!

The phones which they said was not in Nigeria until two weeks time, magically became available. They are distributing it to every Social Media influencer who participated in the campaign. Mine was delivered yesterday. They have also agreed to pay us because of how viral this went on Twitter.
The head of their marketing department, Gab has been on top of this and is working seriously to ensure we get our dues.
I hope Nigerian brands learn from this. Do not attempt to play a fast one on people. Its not cool. Social media can either make or mar you.
Social media influencers should also learn to stand up for their right else they'll keep using us to accrue millions while we struggle for crumbs.

Dear mods, kindly take down this post. I know you've itching to do so ever since!

Lovetinz: They never specified how much and when they will pay you.
I am not a lawyer but I don't think you have a case.
You were careless.
I was careless because i trusted Konga and Infinix Mobile. Its just so sad that they turned out to be shady.

LittleJAMES: Ignorance of sex education.... n immature sex.
They don't understand that the more they shy away from it, the more the number of teenage pregnancies increase. If you interview these girls, you'll be shocked at their knowledge of sex.
Some are led to belief if you just take bitter lemon abi 7up, you wouldn't take in.
Others believe you can go back to being a virgin if you wish.
While some will be informed that you cannot get pregnant immediately you start having sex for the first time. Really crazy!

Seun: No, he's a dog. He does not know that he was "sold out". All he knows is that he was taken away and that he has been brought back.

I think he growled because he is no longer used to having his hair brushed daily since it has rarely been done in the last 2 months. The process is probably more painful for him because his hair is tangled. Lhasa Apsos can be really ferocious when they are in pain.
Yeah ure right. But he already shaved his hair off before bringing him though. He doesn't growl anymore. And thanks to Frontline spray, the ticks are almost totally gone.

Seun: What kind of pet did the buyer have?

When you sell your pet, it's a good idea to visit or call the buyer frequently to help them to sort out any challenges that they might be having.
Yeah. I should have considered that. He owns an Alsatian. Has trained a Boerboel before too.
But he had the experience cus he was giving me tips when I got Elmo as a puppy. Anyway, lesson learnt. Won't make that mistake again
Pets › Re: Why You Should Never Ever Sell Your Pet. I Feel Like Crying by mitchyy(op): 7:45pm On Aug 16, 2014
Seun: @mitchyy: From your experience, I think the lesson is that you should sell your pet to someone who knows how to take care of it and is willing to do so. For a Lhasa Apso like yours, it is important for a new owner to understand that they must groom the hair every day, and bath him with conditioners that help to untangle the hair, or else it will surely matt and they will have to shave him. It's also important to know that they are not eager to obey like German Shepherds; training them is a challenge because they are mischievous & independent. When I post the challenges of a breed on an ad thread, people think I'm spoiling business for them, but this is precisely what I want to prevent.

Just continue to take good care of him like you were doing before you sold him. His hair will grow back and he will look awesome once again.
Thanks Seun. Elmo is mischievous like every Lhasa but I always trained him to listen and I ensured I maintain him. I can't wait for him to regain himself. He has even forgotten some of his commands. When I wanted to brush his back he was growling. Wonder why

mayorall: You have more fault here sorry to say.

Did you teach the buyer how to take of the particular and dog?

Did you tell him the challenges?

How many times have you checked on the pet if you truly care for him/her as you claimed?

These are things you supposed to have done before and after you sold the pet. Good as you got back your pet. take care of her and give a warm welcome cheesy
This is someone who even taught me how to train Elmo o. He even told me the importance of cod liver oil. I guess he can only teach but can't practice.

And no, I can't leave my job and travel 6hrs or more everytime just to check on a dog I've already sold. Weigh the facts well now before you apportion blame

whirlwind7: You sold your pet simply because you needed money?
You don't own other things such as electronic gadgets, accessories (shoes, watches, brazillian wig grin) which you could sell off to tide you over, then purchase new sets later when you can afford to?

I dont want to believe you can contemplate selling a living, breathing thing, AFTER you have bonded with it as your pet.
Sorry, I have no empathy for you, cos you might still want to sell it in a few months when you need cash.
I'm sure you only read the title of this thread and looked at the pictures only.

Excerpts from my post above "If you still care
about your pet and you're not selling him simply
because you need money, then don't bother. No one
will treat it like you do."

If you saw my previous thread when I put him up for sale here on nairaland, you'll see I sold him because my work was always taking me away from home and I couldn't leave him unattended. That is why I sold him to someone who has a pet believing he's in better hands.
People sell their pet cus they need money, but if it isn't because you need money, then I advise you don't sell your pet from experience.

8 years experience, 15 years experience, 4 years experience. How will graduates get the experience if they don't work?
When you care too much about all these, you end up missing some well-suited candidates for your brand.

Hey guys,

Remember I put up my pet Elmo for sale here about two months ago and I informed you guys he's been sold?
Well, the new owner called me days ago that he wants to return him because he's tired and didn't realize training a dog is so much work. He said he doesn't even want his money back, I can take him.

When I went to the bus park to pick up my dog, I could barely recognize him. His condition was so bad that I had to call my vet to come meet me up and treat him there immediately. My vet was also shocked. Elmo was still playful and smart but everything else changed.
He said he forgot to brush his hair so he had so many matts that he had to use a clipper to shave off his hair. He didn't give him his vitamins or cod liver oil. His hair wasn't soft as it used to. Worst off, one side of his jaw was swollen, like he had an infection. Then he had ticks all over. Gosh! I felt like crying for Elmo. I was even ashamed to bring him out of his carrier.

I've attached a picture of how he looked before I sold him and how he looks now. If you still care about your pet and you're not selling him simply because you need money, then don't bother. No one will treat it like you do.

Any suggestion on what i can do to make him regain his health quickly? I've bought his pet accessories all over again because they didn't return the ones i sent with him. I've also bought sleeky vitamins and cod liver oil plus one shampoo like that which cleans and conditions the hair. Whew!
