Icon Weekly in the news again. There were recently sued for publishing a story accusing 2face of adultery.

I don't understand what's so difficult in giving credit to the author of an article. Its very annoying when you spend hours researching for an article and one lazy writer or editor just copies and paste without any regard for your effort.

I really wish you can sue them and make them a scapegoat.

Sorry guys, I'm on mobile so can't view the pictures well. But I remember this picture of Ini Edo. I posted it on gistville some months back and I'm sure Fashion wept the day she posted this picture.

Genevieve looks great. Love her hair but can't see the rest of her outfit properly.

Rita also looks good but not that great. Genny definitely wins this one smiley

Lol. Those are things you avoid months before you wedding. And yes, some indecisive people try on a new haircut weeks before their wedding

blakky97: Girls: your character matter most to us, watch your mouth! Stop being rude and saucy. A very beautiful girl yesterday in the bus from iyana-paja was trying to tell the driver (actually an old man) to stop. The man initially stopped, but just then he realised he parked on flood from rain, he decided to move a little further so that she can step on dry land. The girl shouted " watin you smoke?" All the men started hissing. People like her make serious men hate women. You can hardly hear a man talk like that to an old person
Wow! That's very shameful. Sometimes, ladies feel you attain a certain level of coolness if you're rude and nasty. I really don't understand

VERDICT

Hair - Beautifully styled
Makeup - Perfect
Shoes & Accessories - Lovely

But Zoe gets fined twice. One, for wearing a white underwear in a black sheer top. Its a no-no! Two, for the dress. It doesn't suit her present shape. The white stripe on the bottom-half, come on, what is that?

She's a very stylish lady so we are sure she has learnt her lesson already and won't earn a fine when next she hits this thread.
Next Pic pls!

Where are our male celebrities by the way?

Fashion › Re: SNFP:Social Network Fashion Police by mitchyy(f): 8:56pm On Aug 01, 2014
Is it a gown or a two-piece outfit? I beg to differ but i'm not a fan of her shoes. Assuming its a two-piece clothing, the sheer top is lovely and would have been lovelier with a black underwear instead. The skirt is also beautiful but i don't get why it had to come with that ninja belt. I'm sure an asian guy designed this.

Hair - Lovely(I want)
Makeup - Perfect

The second pose like mine is not flattering. Where's the style sledge hammer? cheesy

Having sex shouldn't be on the list because some persons have the right based on the wedding band on their fingers.

My score is $30 though cheesy

maxiflexi: I'm just going 2 repeat what everyone has said!!!!! Mitchyy, Love your hair, top, & skirt. I love the concept u were going for - you just fell a few inches short of KNOCKOUT.
1. That neckpiece looks out of place (I won't say tacky)
2. Black thin strappy sandals or pumps would be better.
3. Y u come pose like me na? tongue
1. Are you scared of using tacky? I don't bite now cheesy
2. Okay, awesome.
3. Can't i imitate my role model? tongue grin But seriously, i don't do so well with crowd especially when i have to strike a pose under prying eyes angry

luxanne: Present ma grin but am sad y'all missed my bufdae on the 18th, a thread was created on forum games n none of u dropped by sad angry

@Pic: Everything has been said already, the good appreciated and the flaws all picked out. Am sure mitchy has taken note of all comments n will do the needful next time. Kudos girl for dropping ur pic on here smiley u the second on this thread, after uzoo to take this daring step, lol. Btw, where is uzoo? Bin a very long while, I hope she's aii out there. But I must confess mitchyy, you do have a pretty face, nice physique, great smile, also, I love ur hair and makeup smiley

And lest I forget, where is it written you need a large wardrobe to dress classy? Girl, u can have a massive wardrobe but if u CAN'T pick out the right outfit, the right accessories, and the right shoes to come out looking great, you stil got a problem.
Let's not go too far, on this thread, u can even see the so called celeb u even referencing, most of them don't even dress on point given their large wardrobes. So u see, it's beyond the size of ur wardrobe. And if am to dress you, with ur hairdo already the attention, a simple dress would have suffice smiley
My dear, i'm not talking about dressing classy. Its about pairing the right outfits. And yes, you need the essentials in your wardrobe in order for you to pair outfits properly. Essentials like a classic white shirt, black pumps or strappy heels, pants in dark shade, a black bag and so on. You can't have just one black shoe and one pink shoe and expect to nail your look all the time. Sometimes out of not wanting to be caught wearing the same black shoe, you intentially commit fashion blunder, brave the criticism and wear the pink shoe, despite it being ill-matching with the outfit.
And that is why i don't spare celebs in my criticism. They have the essentials in their wardrobe i guess, so if they step out looking horrible, then their fashion sense obviously went on a vacation. They have no excuse. Shey u get? grin

Its just a few days to your big day. Venue, check! Dress, check! Husband, check check!!

Everything seems to be in order but do you have your list of beauty blunders and donts? If you really want to look your absolute best on your wedding day, here are 6 things to avoid one week before you say ‘I Do’.

1. Drastic Haircuts

Your big day is just days away, this isn’t the time to experiment with drastic hair cuts. You should have done that three months or more before during consultations. Its very important for you to maintain same hairstyle throughout this process because the texture and style of your hair change if you get it chopped. Don’t forget also that something drastic may not look right with your weave, dress’s neckline, veil, or wedding day jewelry.
The closer you get to the big day, the more stressed and emotional you’ll be. You want to make all of these preparations and decisions with a clear, calm head.

2. Alcohol

This is extremely important. Alcohol carries a ton of extra calories, so you may want to cut back or even avoid it like a plague at least a month before your wedding. Alcohol weakens can give you that puffy look and feel instantly. It also weakens your digestive system. Remember we want to look great in the wedding photos right?

3. A New Workout

By all means, stick to the routine you’ve been doing. This isn’t the time for new moves. When you strain your muscles, it can take weeks to heal and you definitely don’t want to be too sore to get down on the dance floor. If your goal is to lose weight, make sure to start a new fitness program well before your dress fittings. And if you simply want to relieve stress, then try taking long walks or a 5-minute run.

https://gistville.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/african-bride.jpg

4. Changing Up Your Makeup

According to a makeup artiste Jodie Hazlewood, “Sometimes brides panic at the last minute that they’ve got too much or too little makeup on. That’s why during the trial—when they’re in a much more rational state of mind—I give brides a chance to try out different looks. Modern bridal makeup is a little like red carpet makeup,” says Hazlewood. “It needs to look good on HD video cameras, professional cameras, personal camera phones, in bright light and candle light, as well as last for hours.” My advice to you is to trust in your makeup artist, who takes your skin type, age, hairstyle, wedding color palette, and the time, location, and style of your day into consideration when designing your look. Take lots and lots of water and get enough sleep to ensure your skin is perfect on that day.

5. Peels & Microdermabrasion

Going for a peel or microdermabrasion session is a no-go the week before you wedding. Some chemical peel or microdermabrasion can peel off your skin afterwards, leaving dead skin on the surface that can ball up under makeup. It can also leave your skin irritated and wearing makeup will only anger that irritation. Ensure you give at least 2 weeks span before your wedding when you schedule that appointment for any of such treatments.

6. Trying on new Skincare Products

You should only change your skincare regimen months before your wedding. I guess this is self-explanatory. Swapping in a new product could lead to allergic reaction, dryness or oiliness that takes time to correct. Make sure you see a dermatologist or skin specialist who can give you a personalized pre-wedding skin care routine which works for you.

Got any other donts you think brides should avoid few days to their big day? Please share in the comment section below.

Onegig. Just one comment at least na smiley please

@phema nice one, you spoke my mind concerning the posture and shoes, esp the 2nd pic. The black you suggested would have tuned down the purple a bit.

@mitchyy u seem pretty exicted, keep it up smiley

Phema: Nice hair, nice top, nice skirt.

The neck piece was absolutely unnecessary. It doesn't fit the top. You should have done without it.

Then your shoes. . . I'm not a fan. A nice black pump would have looked great. And your posture in both pictures is not the best I've seen.

You look too "colorful" in my opinion. If I were you, this is how I will style that outfit: Lilac top, purple skirt, black pump, black handbag, nice and chunky bracelets, small ear rings or none and definitely, no neck piece.

Abeg no vex. I'm sure you want us to be objective.
Awesome. Noted. Only that I don't have a large wardrobe like our celebs. I only wore what I had o. I think its high time I get black pumps sef cheesy

Let me volunteer as the scape goat this time! Here's my look for today. Its a lilac colored top on a purple lace skirt. I wore it to our religious event. Photo is not so clear but manageable.

I added another to show the outfit in full view. Please ignore the pout. I'm always a chatter box when taking pictures angry

This is a no-brainer sort of.

If only Ms Jolie and Christina can switch heads. Angelina looks great from her neck downwards. Christina looks amazing from her neck upwards.

Ermmm.... Angelina Jolie wore it better, but she should be fined for poor makeup and ill-fitting hairdo.

@Papa_nnamdi,

Stealing is stealing jor. What if she used that money to get homeless people off the streets, poor kids back to school, or better still build a world class hospital with cheap healthcare services. Most of the masses would never benefit from this her project.
