I love this car. Is it negotiable? Will it go for N500k? *covers face* |
Phema:Why are we taking this personal? No one labelled you a sadist. I mercilessly criticise people's outfits here too. We all used that word "bashing" in a lighthearted tone. Bashing in my opinion is also criticism. What is the aim of this thread? Isn't it to criticise outfits here either negatively or positively? Anyone who gets offended over comments shouldn't be here then. It's all for the fun of it. Fashion is fun. Style is fun. Style bashing is fun. People who bash/criticise your outfit without sentiments are the ones who really care about your style and want you to improve. Posting our personal pictures here means we have accepted to be criticised or bashed. So we shouldn't start taking anything here serious, either responses or counter-responses. Everyone is here for the fun of it. So saying you'll stop commenting on personal pictures is making a mountain out of a mole hill dear. Calm down ![]() |
Awwwww, so much bashing on my girl. Just take it as positive criticism dear. I was excited to receive some bashing on my pics too and I learnt. We can never get it right all the time, you know. Honestly, this shade of outfit was just too dark for you. I try as much as possible to stay away from black, brown and generally dull colours that do no justice to my dark skin. The first time ever I tried on a black dress, I slathered a truckload of bright accessories on it. That's one tricky ish dark skinned girls have to deal with. I'm sure you'll get it right next time. This pic is overdue for verdict now ![]() |
Can it go for 500k? |
Price? |
I wish you were in Lagos. I want to buy this today. |
No price? |
How much is this going for? |
Hey guys, Someone needs a neat Toyota car in Lagos within 400-500k. Pls indicate if you have any. It's urgent. |
I started having grey hair 5 years ago. Sometimes, people stop me on the way and saw there's dust on my hair. Its always drama when I visit the salon. I'm not ashamed of it. Everyone knows I'm not up to 30 so why would I be sad when people call me old woman? Its only situated at the back of my head though ![]() |
Interesting thread. Yes, a lady can cook for her boyfriend. But then, its not compulsory she does that all the time. A man who has brain upstairs and understands that his girl is not his maid will not insist she does. I'll use the example of a male friend who is happily with a kid now. He was dating one lady who ensures there's always soup and stew in his fridge. She cooks and clean. She was like the perfect wife. But when this guy was ready to marry, he went to search for a random lady in his church, they dated for 3months and he married her. Mrs cook and clean was very pissed because she gave him everything yet he left her for someone he never knew. So to those saying its a criteria for a guy to marry you, think again. Another example, a friend told us he needed a wife and wants to settle down this November. We tried to hook him up and finally, he found a lady he liked. They are currently dating and she visits almost everyday to cook, clean, do his laundry. Sometimes they spend the night together. This is November and he hasn't even engaged her. We asked him what happened to "I want to marry asap". And he said he still wants to watch his girl. But we asked him to be honest, becus we know its because she gives him everything he would have gotten when married. So he sees no need to rush. And then he smiled sheepishly. In a nutshell, cooking for your boyfriend or fiancee is awesome. But making it mandatory for ladies, is archaic. And its NEVER a criteria for him to marry you. |
There's something odd in the top and skirt combo. What happened to her model pose? Not a fan of her look except the braids on her |
I've slayed Eku before in one of my blog posts on gistville where she displayed her bones so i'll rather not comment this time before she goes "Michelle again Find her and kill her." ![]() |
elmoduddah:Naija men are trying in this aspect ![]() |
As much as i hate the dress, i'll still comment. To me, this is a no-brainer. Naomi Watts rocked her outfit with confidence and paired it off nicely. The shoes, clutch, hair... fab. Lindsay on the other hand looks scared like she just spotted her boyfriend's main chick. I'm not cool with her shoes. Its competing with the dress for attention. So i'll go with Naomi! |
Can't fault anything in her outfit. Her shoes are not out of place. Well done Mercy! |
Copy-paste my article on your blog without proper credits and i'll linda-ikeji you ![]() |
https://gistville.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/propose.jpg Written by GISTville Most men have a general idea of how to propose: buy a lovely ring, get down on one knee and pop the question. But e don pass like that. With trending over-the-top weddings and high expectations, those three steps aren’t always enough to knock her off her feet. Remember that, while the wedding day is all about the bride, the proposal is the groom’s time to shine. There are tricks and tips to ensure you have the perfect wedding proposal and i hope this helps. 1. Keep things to yourself: This is the first and most basic tip. The simple truth is, the more people you talk to about the upcoming proposal, the more likely it is that there’ll be a Judas among them. Some might unintentionally let it slip and your whole idea is botched. Only entrust your surprise to friends who can keep a secret. 2. Find out what kind of engagement rings she likes: I know how tough this is. It took a friend more than a month to finally decide on the kind of ring to get his fiancée. It’s probably one of the hardest steps, but one way you can get around this is to try to pick up hints from her about her taste and what she fancies in engagement rings. Remember to do this discreetly without letting the cat out of the bag. Check out the kind of jewelry she wears, or pay attention when she talks about someone else’s engagement ring. If she has a best friend or sister, you could consult her to help you find an appropriate engagement ring. 3. Surprise her by having family and/or friends share in this moment: They could either be right there with you or if you’ll want an exclusive romantic proposal, you secretly arrange to have your friends hidden far away from both of you, but nearby enough. Make sure you all agree on a sign for them to appear. Immediately after popping the question and she says “Yes,”, make the sign and let them come in for the Uhhhs and Ahhhs and of course the congratulations. This way, you get your treasured intimate moment alone and also have your favourite people share in your happiness afterwards. So it’s a win-win. 4. Hire a professional photographer or use a friend: This is one major mistake grooms make and i don’t want to catch any gistville reader falling victim. They get so engrossed with the planning that they forget this precious never-to-be-repeated moment needs to be captured perfectly. Don’t ever ever forget to document your proposal — smartphones, flipcams, whatever it takes. To save cost, borrow a friend’s good quality camera and have an expert photographer among the attendees capture the moments. Ensure the photographer knows how to capture the light, how to make your setting look more magical, and how to get the perfect priceless shot of that look on her face when she realizes it’s a proposal. Your proposal moments are way too important to risk losing via dead camera batteries. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did and so will she. 5. Don’t forget good ol’ music: I guess almost every man knows this already. What’s a wedding proposal without a song? I don’t mean the Donjazzy and Phyno kind of songs. Hell, no. Plan to have a romantic song that is meaningful to both of you. You can stylishly ask her and then plan to have the sweet tune playing in the background. It adds more romance to your proposal. And yes, it doesn’t matter where you plan the proposal, draw her close and engage her in a slow dance after the proposal. Its sure to last forever in her memory. https://gistville.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/nyc-proposal-ideas.jpg 6. Get her some flowers: Flowers are not as expensive as they used to be. You can easily get a single rose for N1000 at your local supermall. But if you’re big on budget, give her a surprise proposal bouquet. 7. Propose earlier in the evening: Instead of proposing at the end of the night, start off very early in the evening or late afternoon so you both can enjoy an evening filled with events that you’ve planned. Another plus is, she gets an entire night of showing off that engagement ring rather than having to wait till the next day. 8. Speak from the heart: The words you say is what makes your proposal special and unique. Don’t read word for word from a written speech or she might be wondering if you only googled the words. Tell her what you love about her, tell her what your friends say about her and what you want to share with her in your future together. Don’t lose that connection of looking into her eyes. Speak slowly, and if you shed some tears, that just makes it all even more unforgettable. But be sure the tears do not make you choke on your words. Remember to give your testimony in the comment section below if this is helpful. Happy Proposing! 1. You can never know it all. Listen to advice from others in your field 2. Take your brand seriously. I just whooped out a huge sum to sort out some branding issues after the Linda Ikeji saga. It was like a wakeup call. 3. Never ever ignore mails. Always sort through all your mails everyday for the extremely important ones. |
Love the shoes. They brought life to her look. Is that a jumpsuit or a dress? Can't seem to figure it out. The hat looks great on her but i think its not appropriate for the event |
merit12:Oh yes i am. So glad to meet you here . Let's PM before i get banned for derailing ![]() |
Liciase:Make sure you do the basics first. Always moisturize and seal with oil. Know when your hair needs food and water. Deep condition often and don't forget to sleep in satin caps. Get a leave-in conditioner that works for your hair. If this doesn't keep your hair soft and healthy, then find addditional solutions |
merit12: WellHope you know our team of Fashion stylists and over-sabi critics like me are gonna dissect your look? Don't take our comments too hard, its all part of the fun and ive been down the lane before ![]() |
Noblethony: Mine is named SuarezYou don't need to tell us why ![]() |
Our dog back home was named "Osama" because of his extremely agressive nature and he's always loyal to his cause "guarding the compound against strangers". Even my dad and any unknown person living with us is an enemy. While i named my cute dog right here Elmo. That was the first name that popped to my head when i was finding names that didn't sound like i was trying to pay an ex-boyfriend back. Now i'm wishing i had chosen a different name. Elmo has been modified to different annoying pronuciations. From 'Dembo', to 'Omo', 'Emo', 'Embo', 'Eno'. I got tired of correcting people that i let them call him whatever they want. ![]() |
I seem to be the only person okay with her look. She probably didn't want the over-the-top glam like MoAbudu and went for something simple. Every outfit does not have to knock us off our feets. At first glance, all i saw was a woman who wanted to be very comfortable on her birthday, hence the shoes. I agree the colour of the dress is annoyingly dull and doesn't do justice to her glowing skin. Let me assume she got intimidated by Mo Abudu's Oscar de la Renta gown and decided to act lowkey . By the way, is that a wet stain on her gown? I've wiped my laptop screen twice to be sure it isn't from my end ![]() |
If this is available by the end of the month, I'll grab it and pay cash! Wrong timing ![]() |
OnyeEgo1: no forget me when the phone and the bonus finally land o!!Haha. Don't worry, i'll send you the phone charger ![]() |
