This is Baroness Margaret Thatcher‘s deathbed, inside the Ritz suite Britain’s greatest post-war prime minister spent the final months of her life. See it below….

Surrounded by the people who cared for her, the Iron Lady died ‘peacefully’ here following a stroke at 11.28am on Monday, as she sat up and quietly read.

Celebrities › “You Can’t Come And Set Fire In Our Midst” – Omawumi Speaks Of Waje by mitchyy(op): 1:11pm On Apr 10, 2013

Self-acclaimed Wonderwoman and singer Omawumi recently had an interview with Deola of Bellanaija and she speaks fondly of her best friend in the industry, Waje.

See excerpts of the interview below and you’ll wish you had Omawumi as your best friend…

In a recent video interview now trending, you mentioned that Waje is a better singer than you.
I don’t know why they just got that thing off my mouth! I think Waje is a fantastic singer in her own right and a worthy colleague. Whether she pass me I no know.

Your friendship has been celebrated in the media several times. Tell me about it.
We are good friends. We have similar qualities, we like the same type of things and we understand ourselves that is why you don’t hear things like Omawumi and Waje are quarrelling. You can’t come and set fire in our midst, that is the kind of friendship we have. And then our families are close. She is my daughter’s Godmother and I am her daughter’s Godmother as well. We go on holidays together with our daughters, we pray together, we have fun together, she is my support system and I am hers.

Would you say she is your best friend?
Don’t be letting her hear this sort of thing, her head will be swelling. She is more like my sister.

That’s the definition of true friendship!

They’re the ones you call crying after a breakup, and the ones you text fifty times a day.

They’re your right-hand women/men, your #1 fans and your lifesavers. Your life wouldn’t be the same without them, because they’re your BFFs.

Sometimes school or work can often leave you hundreds of miles, states and even sometimes oceans away from your best friends.
So what’s a girl/man to do when best friendships suddenly become long distance relationships?

Read on for some ways to maintain long distance friendships!

1. Never stop texting. Keep your old texting habits intact. I think you should still text them about the mundane crap in your life and theirs, just like you would when you lived in the same place. WhatsApp for free text messaging is a lifesaver! You can send messages, photos, voice notes and videos, all free and fast.

2. Visit them as much as possible. Dedicate most of your travel budgets to visiting each other. I suggest you always keep an eye out for the lowest fares.

3. Skype, duh. Skype video makes you feel much closer than regular phone calls. I recommend planning specific Skype dates, like seeing the same movie and getting on Skype to talk about it after, or cooking the same meal together and eating it at the same time. I love this idea, and its exciting.

4. Make a schedule. If there’s a huge time difference (like NYC to Nigeria), don’t hesitate to schedule weekend phone calls ahead of time.

5. Keep emails simple and frequent. A lot of people think keeping in touch means writing long emails back and forth all the time. My friends and I just constantly write shorter emails back and forth during the day, which makes us feel more a part of each other’s lives. I’ve had other long distance friendships fizzle because I always felt like I needed to write long, all-encompassing emails, and I never had time, so I’m definitely going to keep this in mind!

6. Get a blackberry and have your friend on your blackberry messenger. Its the easiest and fastest way to communicate with anyone no matter where they are in the world.

7. Offer your couch. Always let them know they’re welcome to stay at your place if they want to come visit. Some people feel weird about asking to stay over at their friend’s place. The truth is, if you both are really close, this shouldn’t pose a problem.

8. Remembering important stuffs like birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, family news.

9. Be honest. Try to let the other know what’s up if you’ll be out of touch for awhile. If you’re going through a rough patch and need to request some extra phone time, let them know that too. Just keep those lines of communication open as much as possible. It will make you feel closer and prevent any resentment from building.

10. Accept that change is inevitable. Don’t expect the friendship to be the same once you don’t live in the same place, but know that it will still be there. True that.!

Alright, GISTvillers, I would love to know about your long distance friendships! How do you keep the friendship fires burning? Have you ever had a friendship fizzle out because of distance? What would you do differently in the future to make it last?

This is the most irritating news i've ever heard today.

In the latest Molly poppin lyrical fail by a rapper, Rick Ross brags on Future Rocko’s song called “U.O.E.N.O.” (you ain’t even know it) about drugging women’s drinks “and they don’t even know it.”

“Put molly all in her champagne, she aint even know it,” he raps. “I took her home and I enjoyed that, she aint even know it.”

The timing of this lyric couldn’t be worse as women in Delhi fight to protect their womanhood from rape and young boys in America are being sent to jail because they think it’s ok to have sex with women who are too drunk or high to give consent.

No. No. No. This is not cool, swag or “bawse.” I don’t care how many vaginal assaults a drugged-out actress asks for on Twitter, it is not acceptable to preach the practice of drugging women to have sex with them “without them even knowing.” If she didn’t know she didn’t give consent. And if she didn’t give consent she was raped. You’re out here telling your fans that it’s cool to rape women and YOU don’t even know it.

Ross’ lyrics are reprehensible on so many levels but as a man you have to ask yourself: What kind of sex am I having where I don’t want the woman to remember?

Ever since Jay Z joined Instagram (recently) under the name "Foundhov", all we get to see are photos of his wife Beyonce and daughter Ivy.
In a post published a while ago via instagram, he paid a very emotional tribute to Beyonce

‘The way she has changed my life… If I didn’t have her…? Where would I be? Who would I be? Sometime I wonder if I would still be Jay-Z. It’s so surreal. First time I laid eyes on her she was 16. I had thought in my head “she will be mine”, became my best friend… 20 years old, it was time… before you knew it she made me swallow my pride and my own words bit me in the a**… “Forever mackin’ – 8 years later, married, one kid. She saved me”
