You can use the Phoca download component. It is compatible with both Joomla 1.5 and 2.5

The idea has some demerits, but its not so bad after all.

I checked the site, and I have these suggestions
1. The site loads slowly. That should be looked into.
2. If the purpose of the project is to encourage the learning of Igbo language, people who have no idea at all about it should be assisted. I would suggest that help links that display the English translation of text when you hover over them. Also the correct Igbo pronunciation should be available in similar links that play the audio when a user hovers over the link.
3. Why is it that the buttons 'Sign Up' and 'Create my account' have English values?

Summarily, it would be better for the site to not be tagged as a social network, that's not original. It could be a meeting place for Igbo people to keep up with one another, conduct business, etc. entirely in Igbo.
Nairaland is a kind of a social network, but is not branded as such. If this project were to succeed, it will be Nigeria's second truly Nigerian website that's strictly for Nigerians.

NB: For more originality, the developers may prefer to use non-English for their links like contact, signin, etc.

Ditto on that. Akeeba backup is so good that I install it on every Joomla site I build. It saves a lot of time and trouble.

Right? Well let me enlighten you a little bit. Your hubby doesn't have to be 100% perfect, but if you love him, you do so despite his imperfections. Out of sight is out of mind, probably if your hubby was around, you might have felt differently, right? So for sanity and future happiness, not to talk of your kids or future kids' sake, cut off completely from your ex. It might be painful today, but believe me it will save you from worse later on.

1. Go to the site's home page then view the source code and check the src attribute for the banner image. I prefer using Firebug extension for Mozilla to do that.
2. Then browse to the location of the banner usually in templates/template-name/images folder of your Joomla site.
3. Either delete the offending banner image and upload your own banner and give it the banner's current name OR
rename the joomla banner to something insignificant then upload your preferred banner and rename it to the name of the joomla banner

Visit the site's front end and refresh to see the previous banner now replaced with your own.

In addition to my previous post I want to add something that I just remembered from an article I saw somewhere.

Never use IE (Internet Explorer). They have a security issue with clipboard. Anyone with a moderate knowledge of Javascript can easily get the contents of your clipboard in IE.

NB: For those who don't know, whenever you copy anything by right-clicking and selecting 'copy' or Ctrl+C, it gets saved on the clipboard, whether it is just text or a video file of over 1GB. Files you cut by right-clicking and selecting 'cut' or Ctrl+X also get saved on the clipboard.

So either use Mozilla Firefox or the Tor Browser I earlier recommended.

I was going to say this, but someone else beat me to it. OP said A man and a woman, not a husband and his wife. The wife might have even been in another country for that matter.

I got tired of yahoo and switched to gmail some years back. They now even have this nice service of sending your emails to your phone as SMS. But cockroach in the mailbox??

Number one, the best solution for anonymous browsing for now is Tor browser. And its FREE

Secondly, update your antivirus whenever you're online and carry out a full hard disk scan after each update

Lastly, never download ANYTHING that requires you to first install a software, malware can be gotten that way
