Dual Core: The robot image on the pack looks stolen from one of the popular antivirus applications, can't remember the name now.ESET Antivirus. I hope they have the rights to that image. For their own good . |
What link did you click on or type that led you to that error, or did is it your index page that is giving that error? |

Last Year was TERRIBLE for me. I hope to do better this year. |

There are 3 components that are required for your website to be online: 1. A domain name e.g. www.mycompany.com 2. Web hosting 3. Web design/development But before you start spending money on these, it is important (as has been said already) that you decide what you want to achieve with the website. Hope this helps a little. Cheers! |
You don't need to download anything, the Joomla installation already comes shipped with a login module 'mod_login'. Simply click add new module, and select login to install it on your website. Failed logins should not lead to 'Component not found' error when using mod_login. However if you still need to modify the error messages, you will need to go into the (PHP) code. If you need help with that, let us know here, and we will help. Hope this helps a little. Cheers! |
Big Star: Wow! Thanks so much. This code works like magic. @moderators, kindly provide a button for marking a post as resolved. Thanks everybody.Simply modify the topic and add [Solved] at the beginning. |
@OP It all depends on your current skill level. Personally, I will rank the CMSes in decreasing order of difficulty as Drupal > Joomla > Wordpress. With Wordpress being the simplest to use and Drupal the most complex. In all cases, the possibility of achieving what you want without much stress depends on the availability of an extension or plugin or module for what you want. So what you should do before commencing is to check for a WP plugin that can perform what you want without too many changes. If available, then go with Wordpress. Otherwise, check Joomla extensions, then Drupal. If none of the CMSes have an extension that can be made to do what you want, you can pick the CMS of your choice and then develop a custom extension for it by yyourself or get someone to do it for you. Hope this helps a little. Cheers! |
You webmasters are very badt, how can you be dying and doing funeral, yet you did not invite us to come and chop rice?? ![]() Back to topic, I don't think our dear friend, the OP meant "singing". From this thread https://www.nairaland.com/1088706/, he asked a question related to Wordpress user registration and signing in, and I tried to get him to clarify himself. If it was Joomla or pure PHP, I for know how to answer am, but Wordpress is not really my thing. That's why I left the question for Wordpress people who might be better able to decipher the question to answer it. Make una help a brother in need, the guy even inbox me self. Peace. ![]() |

You can use CSS float property e.g <div style="float:right;">Some Content . . . </div> Does that solve the problem? |

We can help you create a church website. Here's one we created not so long ago www.gpodministry.org. It runs on Joomla 1.5, with full multimedia capabilities, blog, etc. If you want us to create something similar or guide you on creating yours, email info@naija-web-design.com Regards |
Yeah!!! We've done it! Nairaland now officially has over 1m posts. Next is 1m users. Hope we can achieve that before the year runs out |
If I understand you correctly, you need students to be able to login and take tests. If that is what you want, you can use Jquarks for Joomla 1.5 and 2.5 More info available here Jquarks Testing System. After installing this you should get a scratch card system if one is not already in place. Hope this helps. Cheers! |
If you don't want to get a VPS as Dual Core has suggested, you can try MailChimp. It is an email newsletter service, but it can work for bulk email. |

Hi All, When I joined NL in May this year, I did so out of curiosity, but now, I can say, it has been a big boost to my life and business. When I first joined, I remember the number of topics being about 940k. Everyday I log on, I check it in amazement, sometimes up to 30 topics are posted per minute! Now there are almost one million posts so far. I believe within the next two weeks, we will cross the 1 million topics mark. So Nairalanders, 1. What have been your best and worst experiences on NL so far? 2. And what will you like this forum as Nigeria's number one indigenous site to have in the future? Cheers! **Getting the bottles of champagne ready** |

talk2hb1: Using strong password to login into your account is not enough security measure, Connecting to public network like using your computer at the airport, open wifi, even using your computer at a Cyber cafe makes you vulnerable to networking sniffing, ARP attack, etc. |
