If you have exceeded your fair usage, simply subscribe for a new BB package on top of the existing one. If you are in doubt, load N100 and send bbcday to 21600 and you will be able to browse for one day.

Hope this helps.

Webmasters / Fellow Webmasters, How Do You Charge Clients For Social Media Management? by mitey(m): 1:22pm On Aug 08, 2013
A client wants us to create and manage his company's Twitter and Facebook profiles. But since we have not done something like this before, we need advice on how to proceed.

How do we bill? Per month or per year or per update?

Please if you have implemented something similar, kindly post how you went about it. And NO! I'm not outsourcing this one. If you can't post your advice here, kindly exit the thread.

Thanks in advance.

I didn't realize that you were going to make it opensource. No be my fault this your statement confuse me small.

*dhtml:
I was going to make it opensource, however, due to our Nigerian developers not being supportive, i made it opensource only for myself. But i am now planning to launch it online together with my new suite of websites.

Anyway, the boys are ready for whenever you release it. We dey your back.
Webmasters / Re: :: Dhtml Framework Evolution by mitey(m): 11:18pm On Aug 07, 2013
^^^^ Ehmm... How about beta testing? You know, there might be a few stray bugs here and there that a community of developers here can help identify. Also you have to consider benchmarking, server compatibility issues and a host of other stuff.

Ask the client for the first email sent by the host on registration for hosting.

Information with FTP details, databases, CPanel etc are usually sent with the first message. In the event that such is not available or applicable, you can at least begin from there.

Network Solutions is a reputable large company, so I don't believe that they have any hosting plan without at least one MySQL db in this age and time.

Car Talk / Re: How Nigerians Behave As Car Owners by mitey(m): 11:14pm On Aug 04, 2013
hardbody: I never acted in any unto wards manner against pedestrians. I am always conscious of everyone's potential of driving at least one car in a life time. I slow down where there are poodles to avoid splashing people with dirty water. Even when I mistakenly rush people to cross zebra crossings, I always slow down to apologize. Recall, all that trekk are not without cars, some parked and are walking down for convenience. I do it a lot when I am in Lagos island. I park at the Marina car park and walk to my destination be it CBN, NSE or any of such places around broad street and it's adjoining business areas. Finally, some people trekking actually drive better car than you do, so I belittle no one.

I don't know but script changes occurs almost every time on servers's i've worked with.
I thought it would probably be anti-virus scans or something but i am sure that getting email alerts when ever a files changes last modification time is a total waste of resources.
No, it's not.

Please educate me: Are there scripts that Auto-change?

I was thinking the same thing. Is it not only the DB that changes all the time?

I'm surprised at some of the comments here. The OP has NO prior experience!

How do you expect him to know how to run his own outfit without first learning how to?

And what better way is there to learn how to run a Fast Food joint than to run an established fast food joint?

@OP, my advice will be to register for any of the franchises of your choice. Select the one that gives the best training and go for it.

After the training, if possible, opt out or cancel your contract. If it's not possible, no problem, use this experience to learn and give up your perfect location.

After getting the training, you can always get other locations which you can apply your training and establish your own outfits.

My two cents.
