Ajibel: Hello people,
I was brainstorming on a 'new' idea with a friend on a boring night we referred to as a 'borinthon' (mimicking Facebook's hackathon) in my room...

Webmasters / Re: Urgent Help Needed And Ready To Pay by mitey(m): 8:46pm On Jul 14, 2013
Legendwap: Please i recently opened a dom account with GTBANK but am having problems getting reference, i gave them first bank and Wema but they did not approve it. I am posting this here because i believe my fellow webmaster's can help i want to use the card 4online payment. If you have current account with GTBANK please help i will scan the form and send to you, you sign and send it bank and then once i confirm it with the bank i will pay you, already the bank have my $200 please have a heart to help me. You can send me a mail through: emmanuelanaiye@rocketmail.com Thanks

^^^^ IMHO, You are creating unnecessary problems for yourself. I currently use a GTBank Naira MasterCard attached to my Savings Account for all of my online payments(domain registration, hosting, etc across different foreign and local websites) and it has not been rejected till date. I even know of someone who uses a GTCrea8 Students Account ATM card to purchase domains from Yahoo. I will advice you to cancel your Dom account creation and collect your money back, then register for a Savings Account and get your ATM card to use for online payments.

Cheers!

curiouslad:

notifications when i'm quoted or replied to e.g. you have to rummage through all your followed posts before you can read this particular post and so do i if you reply me. Reduces the user interaction level

say up-voting and down-voting (to make the forum saner).

braine: ^I totally agree with you bro. Sometimes I post stuff that people reply but I don't check it coz it would be stressful reading every post. And the issues of 'likes': it'll be nice to know those who like particular posts. Theres alot that I think needs to be worked on to enhance user activities.

This is the only reason why I can support a NL app, (AJAX) notifications. Having to refresh a page every few munutes and read through all the posts to see if you were quoted can be stressful.

Right now, I don't think many people especially VCs will approach NL/Seun, because despite the traffic and users, it is not as profitable as it should be. Nairaland has a lot of potential that is begging to be used.

And while we are still on this, all online communities have an expiry date. All that is needed is a young kid barely out of School to come up with the next great idea for Nigeria and Africa, and Nairaland will be an old story and start struggling to stay relevant like MySpace and co.

My take on the matter? Whether or not Seun is approached to sell his website, he should make the best of it while it lasts, because it won't last forever.

@OP, Happy New Month to you too!

May the second part of the year be far greater than the first.

And may all the good things that eluded us in the first half of the year fall into our pockets before the year runs out! cool

Governor Fashola! Respects Sir!!

Consider these scenarios:
1. If the Speaker(Mr. Ikuforiji) can pay the bond, then he certainly is guilty of money laundering and will eventually be prosecuted.

2. If the Speaker does not pay up, he is thrown into jail, and the court drags the process till after 2015.

Either way, guilty or not, Mr. Speaker will not be contesting for 2015 Lagos Governorship election.

Autos / I Am About To Buy My First Ever Car. Please Advice by mitey(m): 2:25pm On Jun 21, 2013
Finally, I have gotten enough for the ride I have been dreaming of for a while cool I have seen some good deals here on Nairaland that I will like to contact. But before I do, I need the assistance of NL Auto dealers and people who have bought second-hand cars here in Nigeria to give me insights on the whole process involved.

Like,

How do I pay? (I don't exactly like the idea of carrying millions on my person)

What are the factors to look out for when inspecting a second-hand tokunboh car?

How do I get the car delivered to my house when it has not been registered?

How long does the registration process take, and how much does it cost?

Thanks in advance.
