I detest this uncharismatic and insufferable looking Gbenga Ashafa guy abeg. With his uninspiring and unsmiling face. He looks like a man who is too full of himself, and would be more interested in the aggrandizement associated with the governorship position more than anything else. Rather, Solomon, Mamora or Banire would make decent choices. But it would be great if Asiwaju would be willing to bring back Jimi Agbaje to succeed Fashola. Agbaje is  the best possible choice I can think of.
it will be well with you jare, infact after fashola, agbaje was my next choice in 2007.and he has shown he is nt d jumpy jumpy kind of person,we need merit nt sentiments.the trio of solomon, mamora and ashafa dnt cut it 4 me at all.dey luk lyk amala politicians, kind of in d mould of akala.

Banire or agbaje should be competent enough.

only 1 and that one person is GBENGA ASHAFA. Simples!

Banire is tired of public office and he has gladly stepped aside, he is touted for a Senatorial seat alongside BRF and REMI in the next dispensation, barring unforeseen circumstances.

Agbaje in 2015? lailai . . .

Mamora ke? he doesnt enjoy as much goodwill but he is not free-ly giving . . .

Solomon is a major power broker but thats because he holds his zone tight, Tinubu and himself have gotten into too may roforofos already and I doubt Tinubu will allow him have his way this time, plus WHAT DOES GOS have to offer Lagosians that will better what BRF would have done?

The major issue is: will BRF survive the impending impeachment saga that is bound to rock Lagos? well . . .the reason why Kolawole Taiwo was made Deputy Speaker is quite obvious, u can imagine prior to the inauguration Tejuosho was touted to become the 1st female Lagos speaker, but things move at frenetic pace in Lagos politics these days . . .
wat is wrong with agbaje. :-/

Chai nawa o,wat is happening to this country nw,ethnicity n religion sef is not allowing people to think straight again.

Different views based on stupi.dity.

GEJ ppl will say its buhari n odas, forgetting that mend too was bombing everywhere at one tym.you guys should shut up and give gej some objective advice.for goodness sakes,he is the c in c.he should be able to av courage to lead nigeria to war sef in the likelihood that our state is threatened.so you ppl shud stop givin yeye excuse.hw many tyms av u personally sworn 4 somebody out of anger n they were just mere words.

@the north apologists,u ppl too shud shut up,its true at one tym mend plagued nigeria too,but that doesnt mean u av to take up arms too n worse u ppl dnt even av a cause,u sha dey carry bomb dey bomb everywhere.everything in 9ja gud or bad is neva done wit an ideology, thats y our politicians kip jumping ship everytym.stup.i.d ppl.

@the religion bigots, continue thinking with ur behind.

@topic,in my opinion.this is enough for the security chiefs to resign or be sacked.and who is the id.iot in charge of the SSS sef,he deserves a sack n some yrs in prison.they just collect fat salaries without doing anything. And GEJ himself, should be quized because the bulk stops at his feet.he was voted to protect the ppl n he has failed woefully.gosh.am sick n tired of dis country,

@op,were u reading my mind?i dont know why nigerians are so annoying,u didnt provide enough security and u r praying for God to provide it forgeting the saying that heaven helps only those who help themselves.only in nigeria would u see someone stay at home 24hrs n still be praying that he would be as rich as dangote, forgetting that God said we should toil and he would bless our toils.(gullible ppl,we bastardise prayer in nigeria).

@topic,lets face it our security system na failure, our security chiefs are quacks, and our president is nt a leader.(just yesterday nyt,i was bored n was watching "transformers" again, the way the cia chief was giving orders, protecting 5 soldiers in a troubled zone with drones, missiles.n still maintaining public order.<--- too much hollywood, wink i know)

but what am i seeing in naija, post election violence, taken with no measure of importance at all,now this one too.the only thing our police chiefs know hw to do is give press conference,am sure wen dey are in front the gate where the kidnappers are, they would still call the press.useless people.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Airport: Water Main Not Serviced For 33 Years by mithel(m): 8:06pm On Jun 15, 2011
[b]i remember when i left nigeria for a brief holiday in moscow and i branched dubai on transit.when i was going my mum told me to take a good look at MMA before going and compare with others,i got to dubai and i was wowed, the domodedovo airport in russia(yeah the one that was bombed) was awesome too though it was still under expansion works,my host showed me the point where the explosion happened, damn u could hardly notice something happened(then i wondered,if it was 9ja,hmmm),on getting back, the MMA tarmac was my first indication that i don land for 9ja,the unkept bush, delapitating and collapsing planes on sides of the runway.i got to the baggage arrival zone, and out of the 2 carousels, one was faulty, the other was damn slow.after waiting for 30 mins,i needed to use the toilet, same story, five taps.only one had a semblance of being functional, and u had to hit d tap on d head b4 it worked.2 whites that were in the toilet were just laughing,i felt so embarrased,i was lyk "adoju tini ilu" in my mind.back to the carousel i ended up waiting for 1hr 30mins and all through i kept on hearing the britons behind me saying bloody h.ell n all dat.felt so ashamed of my nationality that day,but wat can we do? common, stop being sentimental n be objective, bode george wasnt celebrated by SWners,he was celebrated by his pdp thief mates.he is hated in the SW.as for tinubu,he hasnt been convicted or even found guilty lyk ur man, bode george.

Note that obj,n bankole r hated in d sw too.

Igbos do not celebrate such leaders. . . undecided
tinubu as u av said was accused n nt convicted or pronounced guilty, and he isnt looking to be presented as our presidential candidate, cos he knows we wont support him for that.

But I do see the Yoruba interfering with the 2015 Igbo presidency agenda and I am not amused.
i still wonder why nigerians cant look beyond ethnic sentiments.well you might be right in saying some some yorubas are working against an igbo presidency, and same with igbos against yorubas, but both of them are wrong n just scared the oda region wont produce a good candidate.Me personally aint against an igbo president,am just scared that they might present some1 lyk andy uba, akpabio, or ngige n co as their candidate.i do hope u ppl choose well, that way i can vouch for yorubas that we would support u,most of us are nt tribalists,we luv merit.

If we support death sentence for corruption, Nigerian officials who had committed economic crimes will began to flee overseas, and Western countries will become the favored places of asylum for corrupt Nigerian officials.
If they manage to get out of the country, then all those incharge of travelling, and airport officials should be fired and jailed.i still wonder why nothing happened to those that let alameiseigha decieve them.

Kanto:
Were armed robbers not being executed in nigeria? Are people not being burnt to death by mobs for stealing a loaf of bread in nigeria? If people who are actually victims of the system can be killed for petty crimes why should government executive robbers be spared? Are the government executive robbers who have looted everything and denied nigerians the opportunity to live a dignified life not worse than armed robbers?

Nigerians should think well, corruption deserves a death sentence because it is the greatest crime afflicting the nation and only death sentence can drastically reduce it to a manageable level.

I suspect that those who say corruption should not carry death sentence are afraid that they too will be killed. I understand that because over 95% of nigerians are criminals who will loot if they have the opportunity there is the fear of a death sentence that might reduce the population of nigeria to less than 10 million from 150 million. Well the only other possible solution is to legalise corruption so that every nigerian can steal legitimately.
