Phones / microsoft Releases The Nokia 215, Its $29 Internet Phone by mj(m): 8:32pm On Jan 05, 2015

Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) has announced on its newly rebranded “Lumia Conversations” blog, what it’s calling “our most affordable Internet-ready entry-level phone yet”. Indeed, at $29 USD the Nokia 215 is perhaps the cheapest phone on the market.
This morning, Microsoft announced the new Nokia 215, a bottom-of-the-line device the will sold largely in lower-wage emerging markets for the ridiculously low price of $29.

The Nokia 215 is the latest member of Microsoft’s Series 30+ feature-phone family. The device arrives with a few smartphone characteristics – plus the trademark Lumia bright green colour scheme – and is both far less capable and much cheaper than any of Microsoft’s Windows Phone handsets.

Feature-wise, the Nokia 215 isn’t dramatically different to last year’s Nokia 225 except for its price tag. As with Microsoft’s other basic and feature phones, the 215 is aimed at first-time mobile phone buyers or people who want a second phone.

Webmasters / Top Open Source Ecommerce System Used In Nigeria by mj(m): 8:01pm On Jan 02, 2015

Open-source ecommerce shopping carts offer many advantages for small businesses. Open-source solutions can be developed to fit the needs of the merchant. They contain a nice combination of features at a minimal cost. And, though the support options may be more limited than proprietary or hosted platforms, open-source standalone solutions often have large communities of developers and partners to assist new merchants.

1. Magento

One of the most recognized names in the crowded shopping cart scene, Magento allows you to launch and manage an eCommerce business. The company offers two main products: Magento’s Community Edition (CE) is a hosted, open source version of the cart that is free to download, and Magento’s Enterprise Edition is a solution for large-scale retailers.

Magento is a powerful ecommerce system with a steep learning curve, aimed at larger ecommerce sites. However, when developing your ecommerce solution it needs to be about more than technology. Magento has been used by more than 150,000 merchants since its inception more than five years ago, including household names like Konga, Parktelonline, RegalBuyer, Kara, Perfume.com.ng, GidiMall and DaxTech.

Try a free demo and see for yourself if Magento CE is right for you.

Science/Technology / Whatsapp To Roll Out Voice Calling Feature by mj(m): 11:51pm On Dec 27, 2014

WhatsApp, the biggest instant messaging service in the world with 600 million active users, will soon roll out voice calling feature for its users.

An Android focused website, Androidworld.nl has published alleged screenshots of a build of the WhatsApp app that offers calling features. Perhaps the build is being used by testers or employees and the features will be included in the official build when it’s finally announced.

The feature has a different UI than the usual WhatsApp. Call logs for incoming, outgoing and missed calls are also included. Authenticity of the screen-shots is difficult to verify and WhatsApp has not confirmed the testing via beta builds.

It is unclear whether WhatsApp plans to offer voice calls as a premium feature. WhatsApp rivals, such as Viber, Skype and Line already offer voice calling as a free feature, so it makes sense for WhatsApp to release the new feature for free.

Hi, as some of us can see or have heard, PMP/CAPM is becoming a huge deal in the world and being certified is very important. Most of the threads on this issue have become old so I wanted to start a new one. Please is there anyone interested in sharing information or pdf copies of certain materials online?

For example I am looking for Rita Mulcahy's book on CAPM exam prep. Thanks.

PS: Also if you would like pdf copies of the PMBOK 5th Edition (latest) which is the only book you would ever need and should only use to study for both PMP/CAPM, you can drop your email. I also have Rita Mulcahy's PMP exam prep book (most used/popular book for the exam preparation part) and an extra PMP Exam practice test and study guide by another popular author. Send to others that ask you for it in return. Share knowledge and help one another. Thanks.

Pls send a copy: mikejoe4real@yahoo.com

A parked domain name means that visitors see a temporary Web page when they enter your domain name in their browser. Domain parking indicates you are reserving the domain until you create your website, find a hosting provider, or sell the domain name.

Culbobby: I usually don't do this but it took shippyme 1 month to ship just 2 tablets i ordered from amazon, they also have an unreliable customer service with a rude lady picking up the calls. I won't advice anyone from using them but as for me, it's a rap with shippyme. No hard feelings

First of all I think she is a wonderful and professional lady. I had issues with my items not being updated on time, I was angry and called, I even screamed but she was quiet all through and after all explained the situation why my items were not updated and even ensured taht the package will be delivered on time and in good condition.

She kept to her word, cos I received my package within 2 weeks. Here is my booking number: S1407260343

Yes I would advise anyone and everyone to use Shippyme, I believe the are currently the best around. I will be using them again for my shopping next month.

Religion / Re: Numbers 18 Faults Oyedepo’s Teaching On Tithes by mj(m): 10:18am On Jul 13, 2014
The commandment to tithe was part of the Law that Jehovah God gave to the 12 tribes of ancient Israel more than 3,500 years ago. That Law decreed that a tenth of the produce of the land and fruit trees and a tenth of the increase of the herds be given to the tribe of Levi in support of their services at the tabernacle.—Leviticus 27:30, 32; Numbers 18:21, 24.

Jehovah assured the Israelites that the Law ‘would not be too difficult for them.’ (Deuteronomy 30:11) As long as they faithfully observed Jehovah’s commandments, including tithing, they had his promise of abundant harvests. And as a protection, an additional yearly tithe, normally consumed when the nation met for its religious festivities, was regularly set aside. Thus ‘the alien resident, the fatherless boy, and the widow’ could be satisfied.—Deuteronomy 14:28, 29; 28:1, 2, 11-14.

The Law did not specify a penalty for failing to tithe, but each Israelite was under a strong moral obligation to support true worship in this way. In fact, Jehovah accused Israelites who neglected tithing in Malachi’s day of ‘robbing him in tithes and offerings.’ (Malachi 3:8, New International Version) Could the same charge be leveled at Christians who do not tithe?

Well, consider. National laws are not normally valid outside a country’s borders. For example, the law that obliges motorists in Britain to drive on the left does not apply to drivers in France. Similarly, the law requiring tithing was part of an exclusive covenant between God and the nation of Israel. (Exodus 19:3-8; Psalm 147:19, 20) Only the Israelites were bound by that law.

In addition, although it is true that God never changes, his requirements sometimes do. (Malachi 3:6) The Bible states categorically that the sacrificial death of Jesus, in 33 C.E., “blotted out,” or “abolished,” the Law and with it the “commandment to collect tithes.”—Colossians 2:13, 14; Ephesians 2:13-15; Hebrews 7:5, 18.

That's beautiful, I also use the designer to edit workflows and sometimes visio to create work flows too. Also I have this leave approval workflow I created to custom suit the needs of my company, also I used infopath for the form to be filled online and imported it to a library on sharepoint. So far its been fun, am trying to work more on the backup and restore.

I will really want to learn more.
