Please can I take my bag along with me to the embassy? Is there any service by some people that can help to keepit till one is out of the consulate and they get paid? Planning to check out of the hotel when I'm set for interview and I don't want to go back to the hotel to pick my bag.

juntod: Well, Americans don't think like Nigerians. Dread, long beard, earrings, etc will only look weird to a Nigerian interviewer. Dress in whatever is smart and comfortable for you. On the day of my interview, a clergy on suit and pastor's white collar was denied while another yoruba man dressed in native attire (agbada) with his hair weaved and his ears pierced was approved.

Okay bro. I know what you saying is correct. I had my MSc. In the UK 2012/2013 and one of my lecturers have his hair weaved and earrings too. Still I believe we should be decent in all we do. Mind you a complete yoruba attire is also being regarded as official coz it's even allowed in job interviews. So I'm not surprise if someone with a native attire got approved... juntod: Its not a job interview. A short and T shirt will not stop you from getting a student visa. They don't even see your waist line down to your feet.

You are right bro. But if your appearance is too careless that could send a negative signal to the vo you know! Like having dread locks on your head, long beard, a guy using ear rings etc.... ones dressing should be decent I think

Are you sure of this Mr? We need good advice and not leading people astray. I'm sure dressing smart/cooperate is advisable, which is what I'm going to do but my question is that "is it compulsory you knot a tie? Basic" ur shorts, Polo and slippers....... remember that first impression matters. I'm quite sure you joking with that combination of yours!

South-eastern region of USA. Bordered by Gulf of Mexico, Georgia and Alabama, Atlantic ocean and strait of Florida I think. Florida is the only state bordered with both Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic ocean. But I can't figure out which is south,north, East or west now.

Are you heading there? And what part of Florida are you going to if yes?

You are okay bro, no need for any extension letter, you are allowed to enter USA 30 days before your start date. And from your post ur resumption date us 25th August..... which means you can travel as from 25th July. I hope this help.

Since my name is written in full plus the middle name on the receipt of visa payment generated for me at Gtb, and every other doc also bears my middle name including sevis and ds 160. Is it compulsory that my middle name also appear on the interview appointment confirmation slip? Coz after booking only my last name and first name is written on the confirmation page.

slimmy05: you can staple your transcript. But don't staple other documents. They will assist you with the first required documents by the vo. Other supporting documents would be asked if the VO is interested in seeing them.
