@ Roadstar, I was wondering what prompted all those your unguided and careless statements in an election that does not concern. If I may ask which state are you from? Because you see alot of people on this nairaland hiding under undisclosed identity and be speaking as if they came from a 'perfect state' in Nigeria, if really there is any. Please be guided and be mature while talking in a forum like this. I used to support Soludo, but since my people have voted for Obi for another 4years, i think that is the wish of Anambra people. Definitely in a contest of this nature, one person must emerge the winner. Mind you, the contestants must be congratulated because the whole activities starting from campaign, during the debate and the election, they all behaved maturely thus a very peaceful election except for the mix up on the part of INEC. Congrats Obi! Congrats Anambra people home and diaspora! Congrats Nigeria for a peaceful election! Congrats Nairalanders! |
Anyway, when I traveled to my state, Anambra during the xmas holidays, I tried to sample opinion as to Obi's performance. People in the rural areas and common men all testified as to his projects or rather the impact he made in their various lives, like the solar boreholes in schools & communities, road construction in rural areas, then his unrepentant zeal to develop secondary schools across the state. Although he only recently started working on the road that passed through my town which is a neighboring town to his'. However, the elite class are rather on the opposite side, but as per myself, my grievances with Obi is his sluggishness. He doesn't have the WILL to do some things or even step on some toes to achieve certain things. He could not completely supervise some projects he has awarded especially when those contractors complain that the funds are insufficient, he will rather keep mum in order not to have estranged relation with those people. I equally blame his ALL POINTS AGENDA ie. Anambra Integrated Development Strategy (ANIDS) that is doing all sectors at the same time. Governorship seat in Anambra is not his father's seat, as such his advisers would have advised him on how to tackle some very pressing sectors while giving lesser attention to less pressing sectors, I think if he had done like that, all these people contesting would have known that there is no vacancy in the govt house. If you want to know, watch and see if Sullivan Chime of Enugu & Fashola of Lagos will not be returned for 2nd missionary journey. As per Ngige, he is equally very much qualified especially for his courage to battle the Uba family, his political WILL and ability to deliver dividends of democracy within the short period he was in the office. Comparing the quality of road construction done between Obi and Ngige, anybody who usually travels to Anambra knows that Ngige's road construction ARE OF MORE QUALITY than Obis'. I wish him well. But, I must say that I am in total support of CEE CEE SOLUDO's candidature and I believe as a patriotic citizen of Anambra state and Nigeria, he MUST deliver, but what I want him to know is that he must have the WILL in order to succeed. In Anambra state, since 1999, Mbadinuju messed up and we pray and will continue to pray that GOD will not give us that time of leader again for he was a curse unto Anambra. But right from Ngige, the people of the state have been enjoying democracy dividends except for the havoc and destruction unleashed on the state by Uba FAMILY AND THEIR COHORTS, which they are suffering now. Peter Obi followed the trend from where Ngige stopped, so we are happy for both of them and we wish them well in their future endeavors while we are very optimistic that SOLUDO will emerge Anambra governor on February 6th. |
I thought Yoruba people are educated, I thought they have the power of biro and speech which I believe are some of the instruments any enlightened society can lay hands on while politicking. Why the gruesome murder of fellow politicians as have been recorded in the South West since inception of Nigeria? See Bola Ige, Funsho Williams, Dipo and so many others Should it be termed an act of cowardice? Abeg yoruba people make una dey CIVILIZED, if not Obama for don kill Hilary Clinton or Bush killing Obama. Ds is Terrorism by yoruba people. Make una take time and not add more fire inside fire wey dey 4 Naija already. |
What kind of country is this Nigeria sef. So moral decadence has degenerated to this? Anyway I am of the firm view that nothing should be giving to those useless kidnappers while we continue to pray for the bishop. Any attempt to pay a dime will automatically open way for other kidnappers, by this: all our religious leaders are not safe any longer. There must be sanctity in the things of God and God's men. |
SOLUDO is the man and I know he will make it and ofcourse without rigging. But, lets be watchful of Andy Uba and his boy; Maurice Iwu |
POSTER: This shows ur level of ignorance and naivety. Read history of Nigeria so that you will not wake up confusing your generations yet to come. Meanwhile, which tribe are you, still waiting for answer? You guys are are the kind of people busy sowing seed of discord in the country and tomorrow, you will come out to say: Yaradua refused to relinquish power to Goodluck. Better get yourself busy with more relevant things and not that one tribe wants to take over another tribe. 2nd question: Is Niger Delta a tribe? Still waiting for your answer. Abeg, next time, post a relevant and meaningful thing and not sowing seed of discord in this fragile nation, Nigeria. (Remember what you said, that in lifetime, you do not think that the Youruba guy and Ibo guy will ever be friends after the discussion/arguement and ofcourse, i know you are happy about that.) Cheers |
Soludo is a politician and not a saint likewise every other politician(even the Fashola you guys eulogize). The Soludo of a guy has been favoured and destined, just leave him so that he will give his best. This is not the first time money is being raised for a campaign so I do not see why this one should be different. Mind you that why it looks as if Anambra is at the centre point is because that is the only place this governorship election is being conducted this period besides they need to slug it out with an incumbent and ofcourse with a party believed to be a home party, APGA as well as others. So, critics of both PDP and Soludo, just sheath your sword and see Soludo ascend into the highest throne of Anambra state. If you talk of PDP, there are so many PDP governors doing very, the likes of Sullevan Chime of Enugu, Akwa Ibom governor, Goje of Gombe etc. The main thing is to understand the game, know how to manage your state by giving them pure democracy dividends. Is it better he emerges governor from not a well known party that he will be the sole financier of the party both at national, own state, other states and even at international level? For us the Anambrarians, we have accepted him and we know he is the best that can happen to us now. We need a mover, a shaker, an intellect, a personality that commands charisma and somebody who is well connected and who will lead us to the promised land. And I know CEE CEE SOLUDO will do it. Vote SOLUDO for better Anambra State and for a better Nigeria. |
Carlosvent: Which part of the country are u from. Go out & see oda pple and what they equally spent. Not when u sit down here talking rubbish and be looking for who will support. Discuss topics and not tribes. |
Anyway, the matter Ibori's case will not end in Asaba FHC, if EFCC did not appeal then everbody will know they have compromised |
