Please I tracked my package using UPS waybill no and its saying hold up for package requested.
And the funny part is that I never requested for such. And I got my tracking on Friday.

See devil at work... Dispatch arrives, mistake made on the phone number written on the package, ...44 instead of...94. Dispatch calls number and that one says he doesn't have any business with UPS. Mogbe!!! In fact, dispatch already updated tracking site as 'no one to receive package' something like that.
Fortunately, someone saw dispatch rider as he was about leaving and ask which address he was looking for and gave him the correct number (my angel). Long story short, Nigerian passport hasn't been so beautiful as it is to me right now.

Thanks to everyone who has been of help here. I found this thread after submitting my application but this platform taught me everything I know about the process after submission. Frank, justwise etc God bless you all.

I just called the VFS customer service, the man that picked up, said the waybill number will be sent to me by the end of business today that's he has a problem with his system

So I actually received the payment request yesterday, sent the proof and the form to feedback and info and had someone confirm the reception of the mail.


Called this morning and someone said my application would be attended to this week but the dispatch riders won't take it up until next week.

Called again this afternoon to know if it had been attended to and after the lady got my tracking id, she said my passport was received two days ago and should leave the application center by tomorrow.

She even gave me an air something something number to use to track it from tomorrow but ionno if it's a ups or dhl tracking number.

Pressure works.

If you paid two-way courier and you're sure it's at the embassy, I suggest you contact the courier, give them the return way bill number and ask them to pic it up for you.

Might work, but if you didn't use two-way courier then try to speak with the agent for further instruction.


May we be delivered from Nigeria stress soon.

What you intend to achieve in a short-term and long-term basis. Since you claim to have a registered and functioning business, you should clearly state that this business is of utmost importance to you, and going to Canada is solely to advance your career prospects so you could expand your business into a global brand. More importantly, you should emphasize on the difference you will make when you return to your country e.g you being a business consultant in the long-term by providing critical business solutions to multinational companies and government as well as using your business for creation of wide range of employment opportunities for teeming youths in your home country etc...

I hope this information helps. Also, order for your GCMS notes, so we could have a clearer picture about your refusal.

You can get it next week if you really disturb them the way I did. Send them a reminder mail every morning and evening. Copy that mail to communications@vfsglobal.com. Send your mails too to feedback.cannig@vfsglobal.com (notice that it isn't vfshelplines.com that we normally send to).

Go on Twitter and Facebook and look for VFSGlobal official pages and send them DMs every day.

Call their numbers too just to be sure. Feel free to send your emails to their other email addresses for Schengen visa, South Africa, etc. They usually forward such mails to the Canada section once received because they work as one.

Above all, don't book a flight for next week. Book for next two weeks (weekend).

Hmmmn . My friend is in the same situation. I hope VFS sends a notification when the passport gets to them by Monday at the latest. We were supposed to travel together upper week but now I am not even sure of anything.

By the third week of this month, they may move all unfinished business to next year. It all depends but just don't have any unfinished business with them by then except you can't help it.
