Politics / Re: FG Unveils Plans To Launch A New National Identity Card With Special Features by mmsen: 1:43pm On Apr 06 |
Nobody is clamoring for physical ID when the rest of the world is moving towards digital ID. The only people clamoring for physical ID are those looking for contracts to skim from. The NIN cards that never came were supposed to much of what this silly proposal states. |

Travel / Re: CANADA: A Nigerian Family Says They Face ‘Persecution’ If Deported, Beg To Stay by mmsen: 1:11pm On Mar 31 |
MT: This is what they all do. They will pretend to be homosexuals when they are not and lie that they will be persecuted if they go back. Or they will claim to be in fear of Boko Haram despite having lived their entire lives in Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Warri or some other city where Boko Haram has never stepped foot. 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: Japa: UK Universities Battle Financial Shortage As Foreign Students From Nigeria by mmsen: 9:00pm On Mar 18 |
faceland: Just because they take in asylum seekers (they take in African asylum seekers too) does not mean that they like or care about these people. And you're grossly overstating the quality of the accommodation, a lot of it isn't good. Those who are forced to stay in such dwellings frequently complain about the conditions. |

faceland: They don't welcome any of those groups that you mentioned. They voted for Brexit because their bigotry doesn't even allow them to see Eastern Europeans as humans deserving of sharing the same horrible island as them. They do not like Arabs or Asians either. You have received some very bad information. 1 Like |

I would love to know where all these people who claim Airtel are good are and who they work for. In my experience Airtel are good in VI and Lekki and nowhere else. I've had experiences of them becoming completely useless for days on end. Even 9mobile isn't this bad, at least when they are up their data speeds are usable. Airtel are consistently trash. |

JASONjnr: You're right about the Indians. Some of the stories you hear in the GCC states are horrifying. Even in Nigeria, they keep their workers captive. There was the situation during the pandemic where Indian laborers were complaining about their treat at the hands of Indian agents and management who brought them to Lagos to work on the Dangote refinery. |
