neksummi: Doesn't the world need to hear about the sacrifice these young men are making to this country?
Mods this story needs to be taken to the promised land!
Thank you. Hmmm... May His soul rest in peace. Take heart bro. I did my youth service in NMS about 11 years ago. And I related very closely with officers, soldiers & boys. We had the opportunity of visiting the NA Museum & I discovered that these men & women have and are still making huge sacrifices for our dear country. They risk their lives & pay the price that has kept this country protected from evil people for decades. Young men & women who leave the comfort of their homes & their families to protect the borders of our land... Dear Nigerians, I know we can do more for our armed forces. Let us remember them in our prayers daily. And also in our giving. Let NGOs spring up to encourage their loved ones. More ideas pls... |

Karin001: I had some really great news today that warmed me real good. This is the main purpose of investing this effort on the thread so far. it justifies the the all the energy and other resources expended towards the development of this thread.
I got some very pleasant report on one of my very dear online friends who is very humble, modest and probably as shy as my humble self. this lady in question was able to sell 14 packs of doughnuts by herself yesterday alone and I understand that she made 700 Naira only.
I was impressed and so was the gentleman who volunteered the information.
My dear friend I will not mention you directly but can you please tell us your experience so that others can benefit from it. I really am happy for you. I am sure many people will ask questions and your responses might help lot in helping them decide.
I understand that another person started by buying one pack on the first day and is now buying 8 packs and is selling this volume daily. I cannot identify this particular person but I am hoping the person will identify herself on the body of the thread. Meanwhile her real name I understand starts with the alphabet W.... .
We really could benefit from your experiences.
Lets hope you are willing to share your joys or otherwise. Wow! I'm so sorry I'm just coming online since yesterday. Karin dear, I didn't know you made a request of me. Thanks for giving me the opportunity although it seems like an Herculean task because I am not very good at expressing myself online. Dear readers, please bear with me. Yes, I sold 14 packs on Tuesday & made N700. Before I go further, I will like to point out that I have never met Karin in real life so she was very correct when she referred to me as her online friend. She has never seen me but she has been a blessing to me. The relationship started from her first thread on snacks business. Now to my experience, I sell mainly to shops. Most of the schools I went to told me they already had suppliers. Infact, some public schools told me the students would prefer a snack worth N20!!! I didn't let that stop me as I am still trying to get into schools. The challenge with shops is that the traffic is not as high as schools. Most of them will buy like twice a week, instead of everyday. I have customers that buy a pack of 25 doughnuts, some buy two, some even buy half, that is, a dozen pieces. Especially when they are just trying the product. Most people I have met like the quality of the doughnuts so when they buy the first time, they are hooked. Sincerely speaking, to succeed you need a lot of strength, both inner & outer strength. Especially for someone like me who is not very good at marketing. I am learning on the job, though. I have not arrived, but I've left. I hope that with these few words of mine, I have been able to encourage someone out there. Thanks. |

Karin001: Yes Madam, I agree with you squarely.
I understand that your coverage does not include Akowonjo, Shasha and Idimu.
Please confirm. I will also like to know if you can actually cover the entire area by yourself.
Please state in clear details drawing on your experience so far. Yes Karin, you are right. My coverage does not include Akowonjo, Shasha & Idimu. My coverage is from Egbeda around Masallachi round about to Baruwa (length) and to Okunola (breadth). It is an area of estates including Gowon Estate, Shagari Estate, Abesan Estate & Baruwa. Yes, I can cover the area by myself. Ayobo, Ipaja & Command can be taken over by someone else. Thanks. Karin dear, you are doing a great work. And you have been a big blessing to me even though I have never met you. I am one of those you are going to read about at the end of this thread by the special grace of God. Please don't be distracted by "Sanballats & Tobiahs". You are doing a great work. God bless you & have a great day! |

Karin001: To move us into a higher gear, I will suggest that after getting to this stage those who may be interested in participating in this project should indicate with a post that will just mention their area in Lagos and also describe the market as he/she perceives it be as it relates to this project and the product in question.
We do not need too many people per area. We must provide enough room for each participant to grow his business into profitability. I suppose we can use this weekend to conclude on the people that will work in the various areas.
Please your comments and opinions are welcome at this stage. I'm also in the Alimosho axis comprising Egbeda, Gowon, Okunola, Shagari, Abesan, Baruwa, Ayobo and it's environs. Thanks. |

I also have a suggestion.
Bread. Most people eat bread everyday. So I guess it qualifies as an FMCG product. What do you think, Karin? |

My thoughts are with you and indeed I am watching you always.

Your foundation for your business towers will be laid in the next three months.
You can take that to the bank. Thank you so much for your kind words Karin. You keep encouraging me & I have learnt alot from you these past few months. God bless you dear. |

I did mention you in one of my business discussions while in Lagos and we deliberated on your matter at length.
Summarily, I have good news for you.
Baring all odds, I will chat with you later tonight if you are still awake.
Cheers and take good care of yourself. Thanks darling. My ears are itching for the good news o! Looking forward to the chat. |
