According to him, other issues bordering on outstanding bills, motions, and constitutional and electoral concerns will be discussed during Thursday’s plenary. “We hope to deal with issues concerning our further oversight on the appropriations and clear further the hanging issues of constitutional and electoral concerns. And clear outstanding bills and motions, expectedly before our annual recess, later in the year.” The Senate spokesperson had earlier mentioned that the size of the supplementary budget is N6.6 trillion. Okoroawusa:FALSE ANALOGY.. WHO VOTED HE PO IN THE OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY.. IS IT YOUR TRIBAL MISCRANTS ![]() |
This is the story of how God changed my story in this hard time in the Country. I have been hoping on God for a better job amidst this soaring prices. This is the first time in my life I ever had the number of interviews I went through. I never saw any of the prospective companies coming back owing to pay negotiation despite going through rigorous interview processes. But I never gave up. Here comes an interview invite with a renowned company. I wouldn’t believe it because I have applied to this company severally without even getting any attention. But it happened this time that God put my CV on the limelight that made it gain such attention of recruiters. We finished the interview process which was both online assessment and panel interview. In less than two weeks in this month of May 2024, here comes the magic call, “my name is bla bla bla from” this very high profile establishment with its H/Q in Lagos and branches across other parts of Nigeria & Africa. “You were successful….” and its looking like heaven fall on me. To my high amazement, the pay that was offered me with the allowances thereof was far compared to the pay I’ve even been negotiating with the other employers that never got back to me. This is a reminder that faith & patience could weather any storm. In the midst of Nigeria's economic struggles, divine timing and grace can still bring you to a new chapter in life. |

Before 1978, Nigeria had a different national anthem which was titled "Nigeria, We Hail Thee." Composed by Lillian Jean Williams and written by Frances Berda, it reflected the aspirations and unity of the newly independent nation. As signed recently by the current President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration, though with varied reaction across the country, Here are the lyrics of this historical anthem: Nigeria, we hail thee Our own dear native land, Though tribe and tongue may differ, In brotherhood we stand, Nigerians all are proud to serve Our sovereign Motherland. Our flag shall be a symbol That truth and justice reign, In peace or battle honoured, And this we count as gain, To hand on to our children A banner without stain. O God of all creation, Grant this our one request, Help us to build a nation Where no man is oppressed, And so with peace and plenty Nigeria may be blessed.
