I need advice from someone in the house.

I have an interview at the US embassy on Thursday and my passport is still with UKVI. I have called and emailed severally but it’s still the same response. At this rate, I wouldn’t be able to get the passport before Thursday.
Has anyone been in this situation before?
Is it possible to show up at the US embassy without the passport and be given another date.

I cannot afford to reschedule as the dates available are now 2024!

I have travelled widely, and I can tell you for free that no airline, I repeat, no airline will board you on visit visa without a return ticket. Even if you’re visiting multiple countries, you must have a return ticket back to Nigeria. The conditions for an airline or travel agent to sell a one way ticket is as follows.
1. You are a citizen of your final designation country - no visa needed
2. You have a resident permit of your final designation country - appropriate visa is still required
3. You have a immigrant visa to final designation country
Only condition 1 is certain. Some airlines may not sell a one-way ticket even with condition 2 & 3.

Beside before you depart Nigeria. Your passport information and flight itinerary are uploaded to your country of final designation.

Thanks. The embassy said they contacted the bank to confirm if truly the specified amount was in the account. However since contacting the bank on the 15th of June last month, the bank didn't send any reply, hence the rejection.

Personal advice, fix whatever caused the rejection and submit new application. Sweden does not discriminate, so if you do well next time, you will be granted.

Perhaps your personal statement did not convince them enough that you’re a genuine study applicant. Re-apply to other schools and makes sure to draw emphasis on why you’re pursuing a masters after 15 years. The motivation, benefits and career plan after.

Hello everyone, am new here but I have being following this Swedish Migration thread for months. I will like to drop my experience in the application journey which might help someone. I have done my interview at the embassy on June 3, 2022 awaiting the application results. From my observations, interview is a must now and I think only few people can escape it at the moment. In addition please go prepared because a prepared questions are sent from Swedish migration agency to the embassy. Lot of questions will be ask, in which a question leads to the next question in that order.
The questions are mainly about your intended studies, what benefits is in it for you and what you’re going to do after the completion of the study. Warning don’t lie please because everything you’re saying is being typed down and will be reread to you after the interview to confirm what you said in all. Lastly, it’s a very long interview depending on how best you answered the questions, therefore take your time while answering and good luck.
P.S your biometric will be taken after the interview.

2. If you’re interested in studies; you will find every information here -https://www.universityadmissions.se/intl/start

3. Anyone is Eligible to study if you have your credentials available.

4. You don’t need agent. The website is very easy to understand and navigate. There’s a step by step guide to help you from start to finish.

5. There are jobs but you may not get it asap due to language limitations and other factors like waiting for personal number, city of residence etc. But if u search hard and connect with people around, you should find something within 2-3 months max.

Accommodation can be found on Facebook, A website called Blocket.se, housing agents and sometimes the school may have available options.

POV people get called for interview if something isn’t clear on their application hence if you apply the correct way you get your permit approved straight up Swedish migration agency doesn’t discriminate by country of origin.
