no offense but posts like this often make me wonder. Who do you think really has time to be suggesting schools with funding for you?. Moreover funding varies according to applicants. Since you are going for a PHD, utilize your research skills to find these universities. You have to know which states in the US you want to be in, then zero in on schools offering PHD opportunities in your field, then start emaling their departments for funding possibilities. Nothing good comes easy, you have to do the work

This is not true, an old colleague of mine recently got approved with $52k deficit and he had no funding. It all depends on how well you can convince them that you can afford it. In his case, he has been employed as an automation engineer for 4yrs+ here in Sweden. His yearly income will be around $85k.

you can disagree in a learned way. There's no correct response here as we are not professionals. If one gets advised, he or she can crosscheck and select which one to adhere to. Attacking everyone that shares their opinion will discourage others and after you people wanted why a thread becomes dormant. How will a VO be so sure someone who got a visa 10yrs ago is your family member when the said individual didn’t mention ur full name nor upload your picture? Even if they mention ur full name, the CLASS system the embassy uses isn’t able to match these things and the embassy do not even care. How can the VO match these things? Just how? Just like someone said everyone in the US is being monitored in their room and the government is watching what everyone is doing in their room and that’s why he can’t offer immigration advice on call or chat cuz the government in the US see all things.. you see how that sounds ridiculous? Yeah the same way your assertion sounds

(2) mentioning you have a family member: here’s what’s going to happen.. the VO will want to know more and ask you how they got to the US and when,, they’ll know it they’ve overstayed or not or they can simply search their name in the CLASS system.. if they overstay their visa or they now get green card in some ways, the VO can judge you using that or they might not., it’s a two way thing.. that’s why some people just advise not to

This individual was denied for other reasons. Sometimes you even get denied for no reason at all!

1) the reason for choosing the university, appears rehearsed. I think this whole professor reason thing has casted.
2) You graduation plans shows no return of investment. Everyone knows politics and polices in Nigeria is a big joke. Makes no sense why you will return to Nigeria just create a reformed political ideology. Thats not even something you can do alone or even need a masters to do.
3) Denying your sister sealed it. Her records are in their systems, no need to hide it.

Yes, if you start now. I started my application around May 25, I applied to 9 schools, 8 out of the 9 schools have given me admission, while the last one is asking me for work reference. So if you start now, you will definitely be able to get into 1 or 2 programmes.

Hello guys, I was given a sponsorship award to study in the UK, the award covers the full tuition and living expenses . I was also promised by the government to be employed after the course in the UK. I am also eligible to add dependant but I'm single.
After reading the warnings about the issues Nigerian students are going through in the UK at the moment is it advisable to go to the UK, it's the biggest opportunity I have recieved.

There are no affordable tuitions in Sweden.

Lowest is 40,000kr and that’s around 4.5m per semester.

For scholarship, check for SI scholarship or go any school website and check for their scholarship section.

As CBN do not longer subsidise FX, you have to either pay through a funded dollar account via bank transfer or dollar card. Submitting Form A and waiting to get a naira debit for the official rate might make you miss the deadline.
