Going back home is always an option and a very good one, because no place like home. That’s where they found savings to japa. They can start over easily and forget *what will people say*. Osoderi: |

There are no affordable tuitions in Sweden. Lowest is 40,000kr and that’s around 4.5m per semester. For scholarship, check for SI scholarship or go any school website and check for their scholarship section. Ajoself: |

I am not sure between you and the agent, who is actually more stupid. Because you cannot tell us that you still want to go ahead despite everyone's caution about a possible ban. Please don't waste our time here with your silly questions, we have other people to attend to. Wonuola111: 2 Likes |

lol, people like you never learn. Everyone is telling you that it’s fraud and you shouldn’t proceed or give anyone your passport . Yet you still want to try till “the pp is stamp”. This is why our politicians continue winning elections. A lot of you lack basic understanding of reality. Wonuola111: 6 Likes |

As CBN do not longer subsidise FX, you have to either pay through a funded dollar account via bank transfer or dollar card. Submitting Form A and waiting to get a naira debit for the official rate might make you miss the deadline. Alphaman007: |

The easiest and best way is to buy dollar from aboki to fund a dollar card, then pay. Naira cards don’t work unfortunately strangest: 1 Like |

Thanks for showing me a city which is a second residence. However, I am not sure the purpose of the photos like there’s barely any less developed city or university in the US? Photos do not always equal to efficiency. As I said, there are way better universities than Lamar. 1stGenAmerican: |

Guy saving a total of 6m (out of 4.8m annually) since the last 5 years as a single person is very low. And in reference to your minimum wage reference- Why then would the VO believe he would return to Nigeria to continue on that low financial range, when he can easily stay in US and earn way more? Let’s be realistic sometimes Doyin400l: |

Nope, I disagree. There’s no formula to these things. For me, I think the university is off. Lamar University in rural city of beaumont? One of the lowest ranking universities that even people in that region have it as a second option. Some US universities are no go. OP I think you should try another better qualifying university. Also your finances are poor. Still depend on your mum despite your well established career. I don’t think any VO will be convinced that you wan to return to Nigeria to work, when you could only save 6m all through your work years since 2018. In their head, this guy won’t see good $$$ paying job after graduation to return to Naija and get less. So coupled with the university & finance, it seems like you truly want to japa. Asides that, I think the whole thing of going back to Nigeria is beginning to cast. If you will use it, pls make sure to prove to them that the job or business you will be coming back to, will give you back x2 returns of what you spent for your education in the US. lol pls let’s be serious here. This wasn’t your initial argument. You said clearly that people can work with a visit visa! There’s a difference between going with a visit visa and during your visit, job search and get an employer to sponsor your work visa. Which in most cases, you have to still apply from outside anyway. Than selling all your properties and traveling with the visit visa with the intention of never returning. As in you intend to remain beyond the allowed validity permitted to engage in work. Aka black market work. Just because you have a 5-10 year visa doesn’t mean you can stay there for the whole duration. Except in cases where it is a “super visa” So be very clear on your stance and stop beating around the bush Phemos: |

lol, he and all the other wailers understands the terms and conditions of the visit visa fully. Otherwise they wouldn’t be here rehearsing responses to give to the border control officers that have found out their tricks. Some even advertise flying to other airports that are “less strict”. If you are so sure of the allowance of work with a visit visa, simply say that as the reason during your visa application or tell the officers when they ask. No need to beat around the bush with your responses or book hotel reservations you have not intent to use or be doing hide and seek from one airport to another . Be as courageous as you are here on nairaland. Dear officer, I’m applying as a tourist… but deep down I plan to remain to work illegally. Even if it’s $10 a day I’m getting for manual work wey wan kill me, no problem. As long as I can snap with snow in the background. justwise: 2 Likes |

@justwise & other moderators, I understand you may be busy with your daily lives. However when you have time, pls ensure to go through this thread and remove all the comments supporting illegality and abuse of the visit visa. If possible eradicate and ban the notable sponsors of this disgraceful motion. Thanks! Phemos: 3 Likes |
