you don't have any solid tie to prove that you will return to Nigeria after your studies. Asides that your parents are not even in the country, you have a history of working in UAE which shows that you intend to stay overseas. The whole coming back to Lagos story is jungle to them. However as the other OP advised, try Canada. I believe you will have more chances of getting their visa since your parents are permanent residents there. Goodluck brother TheMA: 06-06-23 6:30 AM Lagos Denied under 214(b)
Profile:
Affected by the UAE visa ban and returned to Nigeria after failing to obtain a new work permit. Passport was renewed in Malaysia so place of issue was out there in the open upon inspecting the passport. Over a year of experience as a SWE in AI and RFID/IOT Engineering. Dual B.Sc. in Computer Science (2021) from a UK university, and a Malaysian university 1st Class Honors in both.
Program:
M.Sc. in Computer Science, BGSU, funding covered by parents (Canadian permanent residents).
Context:
VO was stern and visibly/slightly upset with all preceding candidates including myself. Nonetheless, confidence and grooming was on point.
Interview:
VO: Good morning, pass your I-20 and passport. -- [Greeted back and obliged]
VO: Who will be sponsoring your studies? -- My parents will be fully backing me up for the study. With over 2 decades of experience as a chartered accountant, she is a financial analyst manager at ... in Winnipeg, Canada, where she's currently a permanent resident. On the other hand, my dad has over 3 decades of experience in the hospitality and events services industry and recently launched his equipment trading company in Canada where he's also a permanent resident. I am expected to manage the Nigerian branch which we have registered in Lagos upon returning. [Cuts in as I was about to declare their financial status]
VO: Aside from Malaysia what other countries have you been to? -- [Succinctly described my travel history in Malaysia and UAE, and offered older passports since she was inspecting the pages/stamps on the current one]
VO: [Types for a while and hands over blue paper] You do not qualify for this visa under US Immigration Law. -- [Walks away dispassionately (I'm a calculative person and a scientist, so I never make the mistake of associating emotions with statistically unfavorable situations {82% rejection rates for the F-1 in Nigeria})]
--------------------------------
PS - I won't be reapplying as my situation and profile almost certainly will not change, but will focus on seeking employment overseas. Please direct potentially sensitive queries to qpdqr@mailed.ro (valid for 24hrs) if you have something valuable to offer that cannot be publicly disclosed, in regards to my case. |

nah i am not trying to be mean, I'm just pissed. How can you go all the way to get CAS, and not know simple knowledge on why you even want to study in the UK? You rely on an agent. Is it the agent that is going to the UK to study for you? Some things are just common sense forget. It wouldn't even take 10 mins to research the school, the course and the post-graduate benefits. In fact, if OP had just been sincere to say 'see o, truth be say, I just wan commot naija through study route ', it would have even been better than saying cramped answers that makes no sense. Now he is here crying about AR. You have time and money for AR, but couldn't do simple research on your UK waka. Oga SHAME ON YOU! 9JAFULLBREED: Haaaaaaaa Obiiiiiiiii |

If you wish to do AR, feel free. But it won’t go anywhere. Total waste of time. Personally, if I was the visa officer, I would reject you too. Have you even read your own responses? Will you grant yourself visa? Smh olaleyeh5: I’ve seen worse cases online and the AR was successful , Moreover I came across the mail an hour to the interview then I called My agent but wasn’t picking up that moment to know If I should just rescheduled the interview to some other time with reasons that am not prepared unfortunately I accepted to take the interview that I wasn’t prepared for at all because I was unable to take to my agent on the phone ..Was never expecting any interview from home office or calls till it happened … This AR is really on my mind .. |

crowd does not equal to votes. Most of these northerners are unemployed. Once they see something that looks like an occasion, they will go because they are hungry. They want free rice and drinks. The majority of the people in these photos, don't even understand English or know which party candidate they're looking at. It is very impressive on how far obi has gained momentum, but sadly, his oppositions are bulldogs with the strongest allies beside them. LP will not and cannot win the presidential election next month, but there is a chance in 2027. So obi should use the 4 years to build the party's members/structure in different positions around the nation. Start grassroot campaign on time and be ready to spend! A stingy man cannot win an election anywhere... not just in Nigeria. You can go and ask around. |

Guy, no VO will easily approve a student visa funding from a family friend. If he stops being a family friend nko? You will be stranded in US and may cost tax payers money. Thats how they will reason it. I advise you to work on your funding.. maybe that friend can transfer the money to you for the i-20 (make sure to state this) or pay most of the fees to the school himself to show his genuineness to sponsor you. Goodluck next time Jaaj: I was denied today , Lagos embassy 6:30am batch so painful after all I’ve been through, my whole year mehn ! Oyibo no send that “do you know who I am reasoning”. Call a spade a spade, Luxembourg is not a top tourist destination for most Schengen applicants. You have to be strategic in doing applications if you have no travel history. He could easily get the visa from france instead. But as I said earlier, Goodluc! seyewest: Who told you Luxembourg is not a tourist destination and also do you even know financial and social status? he should go ahead with his plan if he has nothing to hide. |

Some of you guys make things hard for Yourself unnecessarily. Because tell my why you’re applying for schengen visa through Luxembourg that’s not among even top 10 places to visit in Europe. It’s not routine place for tourist, most especially Africans. How do you want to explain to them that you’re only going there for tourism? Something you will follow others and apply to France or Spain that dishes out visa often… then travel to all these places you have mentioned. Goodluck anyway. ghettonews: @Seyewest your advice is very great am already applying to Luxembourg tourist visa to build travel history, thank you very much. I would be visiting Luxembourg, Netherlands and France and by so doing will make my application strong, thanks for advice |

Bro even if na me be this visa officer, I go also deny you. Your answers are vague even though you thought they were fly. Red flags. 1) Community college not university. 2) business administration can be studied anywhere bro. 3) does your uncle not have family to spend his money on? What’s his benefit of sponsoring his nephew? Also his source of income lacks merit. Anyone can be a business man. Even keke na business. 4) you didn’t explain your work situation properly. 5) you must been inaudible for her to lean forward. Maybe she thought you weren’t confident in your response. Try better next time. Kiddyong123ayo: Omoooooooooooooooooo
My visa got rejected o, at the Abuja embassy, the VO was a lady one whitish thing like that. She had a bright smile and fine face but na snake.
Our convo goes thus:
VO : Hi good morning
ME: GOOD MORNING how are you doing (me trying to use my Barry tone voice)
VO: Very fine thank you, Can I see your documents ( I hand over i20 and passport).
VO: So you are going to Wayne County Community college DISTRICT.
ME: Yes I am, I got admitted to study business administration and management on a 2 year associate degree program. ( see how detailed I was)
VO: Who is your sponsor
ME: My sponsor is my uncle Mr bla bla bla
VO: What does he.do for a living
ME: In my mind, He is a kidnapper (lol) he is into business and he is a pastor.
VO: Okay why do you want to study in the USA..
ME: Ghen ghen (Omoooooooooooooooooo again) I intend to study in the USA to harness the skills and knowledge the vast experience of the lecturers of this great college would impact in me and use my learned skill and degree to use it to work back here in Nigeria at the end of my program. Chikena
All this time she was nodding her head in some form of agreement...
VO: Okay what do you do for a living
ME: Again in my mind (I am a drug peddler) oloshi I work as dis and dat at my uncles company, now I noticed when she asked this question she leaned towards the glass to kind of like hear me well, like she wanted to get a kiss or something. Me too leaned forward almost closed my eyes that I was about to break the record of the first Nigerian guy to kiss a consulate during interview and get accepted (lol)
Omo na so this white babe type type type, like 30 seconds me I was already happy small small that at least this time my interview lasted a little longer than the previous one, (that first one ehn na 20.secs I swear)
Omo.next thing wey I hear na say, sorry I can't grant your visa as there hasn't been much changes since your last application, This was 7 months ago (I think the reason they put glass between the VO and us is that incase we wan tear them slap). I was looking like a flying fish, just turned around said thank you and left.
My observation is that 1. That Abuja consular is less crowded compared to Lagos. 2. The whole process is well organised 3. The visa officers are more patient compared to Lagos ones. 4. But na oloshi be American embassy, they waste your time and efforts. |

I didn’t believe it till I saw it with my korokoro eyes. So it is very possible he makes $15k & I don’t think that’s why she got rejected chibertha: 15k USD/month ? The VO did not buy this. Bro, your are a graphic designer going to study engineering operations management? From where? How? They do not really relate and that's how the VO read it too. Then your uncle who most likely has a family to feed is willing to spend so so amount for you to go and study this course that is not related to your current job. That's why the VO asked you twice about his occupation because it wasn't adding up for him lol. I advise you to either reapply for a course that corrects to your passion and job or repackage your responses for another interview. Goodluck adigunjale420: Hello everyonr, Im new here. My visa for F1 interview got denied. And I need clarity on where I fumbled. My interview (EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT) was on the 15th of November, 2022, Lagos.
VO: Why are you going to the US/ ME: To pursue my master's (Engineering Operations Management) in Bleep school.
VO: Who is sponsoring you? ME: My Uncle
VO: What does he do? ME: HE imports and distributes so, so and so. (I was this brief)
VO: Did you apply to any other school? ME: yeah, Bleep Business school
VO; Why didn't you go? ME: The fees were too expensive for me.
VO: What do you do for a living? ME: I'm a graphic artist (I was being honest)
VO: What does your uncle do again? ME: HE imports and distributes so, so and so. (I was this brief)
VO: Hands over blue color paper (VISA DENIED)
ME: Asked her what was wrong, she said I should check more on their website
Please how can I fix this? I know I can reapply; what do you advise? I'm to resume in Jan 2023. |

Changing the address has no effect on your application. They already did a background search on you before you even went in for the interview. This is why the VO asked you twice if you had a relative in the US. I don't know your reason for denying that your dad is there, but it clearly was not worth it. Now you have made the situation worse and it will be recorded on your file that you were dishonest in your previousinterview. The next time may be harsher with more scrutiny. Better luck next time anyway! Omolayo199: Please everyone, I need your intervention on my this. My dad is the US and he paidy SIVES using his home address..... Since I noticed that, I've been mailing homeland security to help me change my address that the person that paid for me used his address not my own but no response from them. I called them, they said they have lots of issues to address and they are addressing them according, so they sent a confirmation mail. I printed it out and took it along to the embassy.
First attempt Denied COA: $36921 No funding Interview proper Me: Good morning VO: Good morning I can see you're going to study nursing Me: yeah! my desire for nursing arouse when I realized that my Twin sister Omolara is a sickle cell anemia patient, I have seen her gone through pain, crisis and challenges with out me having much help to render to her, this made me join a foundation called Sickle cell advocacy management initiative. At the foundation, we create awareness, educate and support sickle cell patients. we also have an insight on how to help the sickle cell patients by encouraging them, advicing them on living healthy and knowing the danger signs. (cuts me off) VO: Do you have anyone in the US Me: No VO: Asked me about my school (I can't really remember how she asked) Me: out of the three schools that offered me admission, which are Norwich University, University of Indianapolis and Lander University, I chose Lander University because they have an average class size of 22 which will give me a direct access to my professor and this will aid in my study also, Lander has been educating nurses for the past 50years which makes them one of the best (cuts me off) VO: Who is sponsoring you Me: My mother Mrs Bleep who works at Bleep as a Bleep. My mother's annual income is 60 million Naira (cuts me off) VO: Do you have any relative in the US Me:No VO: how many siblings do you have? Me: 2 My twin sister and my younger brother who is here in Lagos in high school VO: What about your dad? Me: My dad is in the country, My dad is the CEO of Bleep that deals with Bleep (cuts me off) VO: issues me a blue paper |

@oluolatunji, sorry for the issue with Linnaeus. That’s why they have no ranking. It is apparent that they’re up to no good there.
To new students coming, have plan B while applying to Sweden. Things have changed. Permits are not easily granted as before. This year, not many were granted. Not because they did something wrong, but Migrationsverket took months to proceed their application and they were either rejected based on late enrolment. Some students were forced to withdraw their application to avoid loosing their tuition payments. Sweden no longer wants immigrants before. On their website, they issued a notice on how students are abusing the student permits. Next year might be worse. So don’t put all your basket in sweden! Goodluck |

Though permissbale, universities do not usually issue CAS 2 months before the programme start date. Evem if they do, the earliest your visa will be issued for will start (1) month before your course start date which is August. This means you cannot travel before august. As for the job part, still NO. You need to collect BRP, get an enrollment letter after registration, get a Tax number, open a bank account etc, before job. xrismuove: Good day guru in the house. nah you didn't prepare well at all. Your profile has so many red flags. Why would your uncle who has his own family to feed, sponsor a full-grown married man and his family to study in the US just to come back to Nigeria to become a retail manager? Like there are so many cheap online business courses you can take to gain further managerial experience. You do not need to go to the US with your whole family for that. Also, your wife leaving her government job that she seems so passionate about for a long while also set off alarms.
