What does he mean by no sane person? In other words, the people who choose to excercise their rights to vote whoever they want are insane. Can't you solicit votes without insulting voters? People have the fundamental right to vote for the candidate of their choice. If you don't like it, then project yourself, sell your strong points and try to win them over. You can't expect to get votes from people you insult. I can't imagine this guy with this kind of arrogant attitude and insultive tongue polling up to 1000 votes in this election.
