That my quote was a sarcastic one. I simply said it for you to understand that the fact that you place something within quotation marks doesn't necessarily mean you do not mean it literarily. Sometimes,it is used to highlight a word,to place emphasis on the word.

Really, I do appreciate you taking your time to fix something two nutjobs strangers started. You were quite right. It's been one big misunderstanding. Why are you being rude?

Before you ask how and when, "are you blind?" And "Don't you understand simple sentences?" are certainly rude and out of place.
And you were apparently rude because you expected him to know that your quotation marks changed the meaning of what you used to describe his statement. Of course, everyone knows that's what quotation marks do.

I personally think he was being witty with the statement but that has passed now. He's a stalite and he took some part of his free time to help us answer questions here but all he is offered is BS.

Hey, I would advice you to find someone in OAU say, a friend or relative to either find space in one of the female hostels where u could squat or get a room for you from one of those private hostels.

Some peeps prefer the private hostels so the chances of getting a room is slim as it is limited.

Today was the coldest day so far "real feel was like -27 ". The cold is worse than freezer. For those coming buy the things you need before you come. Canada will tax u for anything you want to buy. One bus driver told me she buys her things in Detroit,USA which is just a bridge away from Sarnia. Eg beer cost 15 dollars in detroit while it's 40 dollars in sarnia.

The lecturers are very nice but the work load is piling up. We have been given no less than 5 text books already and during our campus tour we were shown the common room were we can sleep incase we need to work into the night on campus which indirectly states we are in for a lot of course work. Can't really complain cos this is what I came here for.

Still trying to adjust to greeting an old person with just "hi" or call my lecturer by his name. I enter bus one day see like 4 old women inside bus, I greet em " good evening ma" all of them de look me one kind, one come even de laff me they re generally nice people while a few are not nice

With all due respect Sir, I would really like for you to sit down and examine your plans. Travelling/Schooling in a foreign land with little cash in hand to provide for feeding, accommodation and tuition shouldn't be overlooked.

My advice, if you know you can't afford it or Sponsors aren't popping up for you..you should stay put here.

Still, check with the school if they can offer any assistance in terms of securing a job(librarian for example..but doesn't pay much...as expected) or maybe a form of bursary/scholarship for international students. Know your grounds now before flying.
