This thread will bring out all the E-sabres, sticks and stones for sure.. smiley

The fact is that, the blame remains squarely the fault of Low oil price + Low reserves that have been acting as band aids on the festering and gangrene sore called Mono product, import dependent economy.m

We've never had a productive and viable economy, we've been coasting because of strastropheric (especially between '10-'13) oil prices...

Not appointing cabinet on time, previous administration almost obliterating the foreign reserves, manipulating FX & such wouldn't have mattered if record oil sale proceeds were still rolling in to cater to kind of non productive, consumptive lifestyles!!

We are free to continue to speak oyinbo sha.

Alhaji Lateef Jakande, Yesterday, today and forever more, Tinubu and Fashola tried but they can't even touch his shoelaces let alone tie or untice them.

Worst still remains Raji Rasaki of "who build this garder", his wife is continuing in that family tradition in the 8th senate like she did in the 5th or was it the 6th (HOR member)... Senator Laggard..

Empero1, Raji Rasaki displaced Maroko people but didn't provide an alternative... He did it cos the military powers that be didn't like "dregs of the earth" living in close proximity to their Ikoyi/VI slice of heaven..... Do your research and disprove my submission..

Tinubu won't allow a level playing field for all. His ACN should have won four years ago if he had not foisted Aketi on the party. He is about to do what he does best again—impose his candidate on the party. With the multitude of candidates seeking the ticket, it will be an unwise decision to tilt the process in favour of an anointed candidate. Others who will be schemed out are going to fight back by working against the party. The murmur of complaints against the underhand attempt to decide for Ondo people by extraneous forces is a sign of what is in the offing. Mimiko and his party are highly vulnerable to defeat no doubt, but the APC can be beaten at the polls if it allows this incipient schism to exacerbate.
Person nor dey advise pikin make e nor go catch leprosy, make e just nor forget the part about inevitable banishment to the forest..

They have both the knife and the yam, they can decide to throw both into the ocean, they will lick their wounds thereafter..

Mimiko had good ratings going into that election, Aketi wasn't the issue then...

I do hope you aren't buying the multitudes of candidates jostling narrative? 95% of them are priming for Senatorial, HOR & Political appointments "compensation", they know that no one is in any doubt that they are pretenders..

This is the reality of the times we live in, and our situation is worse, courtesy of failed leadership of about 30 years now, and further selfishness and banditry in the last 16 years.

That said, the Buhari administration has not lived up to expectation, and could actually have made the sufferings less killing.

The people voted out PDP cause they are well aware of the party's evil ways, and they voted in APC, not to regurgitate the failed leadership of the PDP, but voted in APC to fix it.

The people want to see words backed with action and the gov't's urgent sense of purpose in alleviating their sufferings. They want to feel a good deal of dedicated professionalism, to be rest assured they actually made the right choice.

Lest I chip in -- the people have to play their part too. You can't be sabotaging the system and still complain about the same system.

Nothing to add, How ya doing? smiley

P.S

BTW, when are we selling, dashing or leasing off some of the PJs in the presidential fleet?, proceeds will be like a drop in the ocean but we are in austere times, we should all "sacrifice" cool

Yeah! Ignorant Nigerian people. Screaming and shouting "policy" "policy" "economic team" blah blah blah!!! Idiots, we do not produce ANYTHING. Even common rice (basic food) to eat and give our children we do not produce. We have NOTHING to export!!! Nothing!!! We cannot even process the OIL we found under our soil.

If you like assemble all the PHDs in the world, that will not transform to dollar and national wealth. We have to stop consuming the things we cannot produce.
What of "things" like Vaccines, agric machineries, Medical equipments, automobiles, etc? smiley

We produce almost nothing of our basic and essential needs apart from food & shelter... I don't see any improvement in the lot of this country till we stop being "majorly" import dependent, high oil price was the band aid covering the festering & stinking sore, now fowl don blow, wind yansh dey outside yakata. smiley

180m+ people + import dependence is sure disaster,
Politics › Re: Ondo 2016: Tough Race For APC Ticket- The Nation by modath(f): 8:05am On Aug 14, 2016
Mimiko's rating is very low ATM, so the chance of his anointed candidate taking home the bacon is at an all time low, but APC can make a mess of the grace that the Lord is about to bestow on them by imposing a candidate...

If they allow the primary to be free and fair, 75% of their work is done..

The government would have performed better had it been they didn't start everything in a very slow pace. Appointment of ministers; problem. Their economic team and policies; another problem. Passing of budget and implementing it; problem. Solving the Niger/delta crisis; problem.

A government that is serious about getting investors and investments in the country won't have wasted anytime to appoint its ambassadors. Note; I'm not saying ambassadors are the ones that solely bring investors/investments into a country, but not appointing your ambassadors on time will only send a negative message about how unserious your government is.

I know buhari means well for the nation, I know he wants Nigeria to work, I also know he inherited a sick economy from his predecessor, but his policies aren't helping him to deliver his change promise. But some of us can only pray and hope for things to get better, and for president buhari to get his acts and priorities right.

On point... I wish they'd see the hypocrisy in that stand, it's like whites who complain about black people in their communities while conveniently forgetting about slavery, neo colonianism and the result of their economic/political interference in the affairs of black nations.

The Insult is the default mode, don't dwell on it, that's the usual, it is not deliberate.

This is not news, but I personally know of one.

A couple had issues conceiving for years, eventually the woman had 2 babies in 2yrs. Women being who we are, in the heat of the moment during a disagreement, probably to hurt the man, she let it drop that he was a walking dead & she "helped" herself with father.

Father initially denied but owned up after pressure...

The kind of dressing we see these days, the open display of s3xual images EVERYWHERE, expectation of piety is unrealistic, it's commendable to be that "holy" but the flesh is weak..

They are clearly the 'most hardworking and gifted tribe' that's why they bring more glory to your nigeria in sport and othee facets of life. Are your Igbo sportmen drug traffickers too? Are Igbo academics topping other in Education also drug traffickers too? Why didn't you taunt Chierika with drug trafficking when she got into the olympic semis.
1. Chierika isn't the type to choose the easy way out, she's a passionate driven young lady, worthy of emulation... i'd celebrate and laud her for that...

2. Chierika isn't the only Olympian representing Nigeria and I was rooting for her to win gold (like I am for everyone + all Africans and all dark skinned athletes) and make us all proud... Even without a medal (she is no longer in medal contention), I'm still super proud of her..

3. My response was to your half assed visionless "Get rich or die trying" crap, so stop shifting the goal post...

By the way she doesn't live in Nigeria and hasn't been infected with the bug that has bitten you... I am not detribalized but I never view everything from a tribal perspective.. get away!!
