sonOfLucifer: The logic is simple. You have flour but no oven. Others bake bread for you in exchange for some flour. Rather than save to buy a oven, you keep selling your flour. One day, flour's price reduces. Now you have no oven, your flour doesn't sell so well, and you still need bread.
So 2 problems. Your flour is cheaper, and you still have no oven to bake bread. SO now you have to spend from flour to buy bread.

He pointed out Hero IB's feet of clay & nothing induces that tantrum of theirs more than that.. Jonathan is responsible for most of the mess we find ourselves in today. He made unbelievable terrible choices in the days of plenty- today, we suffer for them. Choices like increasing PMS from 65 to 97 and only having a scam Sure P to show for it. Choices like turning Diezani into a goddess Choices like what the ND scavenging economic terrorists have been turned into. But I believe we'd pull through and emerge even stronger. SPEAKER of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has traced current economic crisis to what he described as “easy choices made by former President Goodluck Jonathan.”
Dogara, who spoke during the child dedication service of a member of the House, Olusegun Odebunmi, held at The Citizens Church (TCC), Abuja, called on Nigerians, especially Christians, to pray for God’s intervention.
He said: “All challenges we are faced with are as a result of our choices. When we had the opportunity to make hard choices, we went for easy ones and that is why we are boxed in a corner.”
Dogara said: “From about $110 per barrel price for crude, we are now averaging about $40 per barrel because of the crisis in the Niger-Delta; we used to earn about $110 on 2.2 million barrels a day.
“Right now, it’s about $40 on about 1.2 million barrels per day. So, you would see now that our national wealth has gone down by as much as 50 percent.
“Unfortunately, when we had those wonderful periods, we did not invest. We did not diversify our economy and so, we are in for a rough ride.
“The roads may not be smooth, but, the truth is that most roads that often lead to wonderful destinations are not smooth.”
Dogara maintained that Christians, no matter the situation, should see reason to celebrate Democracy Day.
He said it is time people turned to God for divine intervention instead of murmuring and lamentation, saying, “with prayer, God can raise men and women of impeccable character who can contribute their quota in national development and transformation.” http://sunnewsonline.com/current-economic-crisis-caused-by-jonathans-choices-dogara/

Babacele: holy Jesus! you know that a dead Fayemi with his 'elitist' policies couldn't have lost to thugnor if IB hadn't rigged for him....ekitigate tape n d dismissal of General Momoh are heavy enough evidences . 1. Is paying elderly folks a monthly stipend an elitist project? 2. or holding community needs assessment for the people to contribute to how they are governed and consequently subsequently implementing the plans therefrom an elitist approach? 3 . or the rural allowance Fayemi paid to teachers posted to far rural communities in ekiti also elitist? and several other beautiful program that an uncultured brute like Fayose lacks the intelligence and character to sustain? The bitter truth is that Ekiti was forced into a marriage of inconvenience after being raped by a supposed suitor......I'm cock sure the people would free themselves now that the scales re falling off their eyes: how and when is what I don't know. Baba, once you take out Ado, Ikere, Ifaki Ido (FMC is basically the only thing there) you need to understand that Ekiti is more of small villages and towns, it is easy to spread propaganda in those small towns. Fayemi did 2 things that the average Ekiti small towners & villagers considered sacrilege. 1. Competency tests for teachers in the subjects that they teach, eg, A government teacher was asked to attempt the same SSCE that SS3 student would, a good majority flunked and were demoted. 2. Construction work was given to real professionals that are not of Ekiti stock which is a faux pas, the usual practice was to give party cronies of Ekiti stock who will then "redistribute" to sub contractors... I have a feeling these people who got the jobs were party cronies but they were not shuns of the shoil so the initial brouhaha and seed of discord started from their party which was why MOB threw his hat in the ring thinking APC will queue behind him but they stuck with Fayemi.( Baba dis na long tory for another day) Baba, Fayemi would have lost but the margin was deliberately manipulated in favour of loud mouth with a plan to spring a repeat in Osun but we all know how that story went.. |

bejeiodus: Sheriff is a tactless politician who does not understand the rules of the game. He showed his hands too early by luring five governors with the vice presidential ticket. He should have kept his cards close to his chest and be very coy with his ambition. His moves were too conspicuous and that made it easy for the governors to checkmate him. He really has a lot of learning to do in the art of covert politics. How else was he supposed to get them on his side?
