Please for those who are already in the Czech republic, or anyone with an idea, am I required to translate my marriage certificate? I'm aware I'll legalize it at ministry of foreign affairs, but I'm unsure of it's translation.

Someone with info should help me out please. Thank you

I think they are talking about your final GPA. Its not stated there. What seems to appear there looks like your level's GPA and not the overall for the total years of study.

It's written there. My GPA for the 500L second semester was 4.75, and my overall grading CGPA is 4.47.

Good day all,

Please I really need help, and it just occurred to me that I could ask here, and hopefully get help.

I applied for my masters degree at the University of Evora sometimes in May and I later got a response from them that my document validation could not be completed, and therefore not successful. This was their mail to me:

The final grade obtained in the baccalaureate is missing. In the certificate the final grade and the scale is not noticeable.
You must access the application and place the final grade obtained, the minimum and maximum classification.
Declaration of the Institution that issued the certificate of qualification or of the Embassy with the final average and rating scale used in that institution, identifying the minimum rating corresponding to approval must be attached

I'm however confused because these things are right there on every back page of my transcript. So I don't know how else to tackle this. I've mailed them severally and it's still the same response I'm getting. And they said I have till 2nd of July to submit it.

I honestly don't know what they need, or what to ask University to provide for me.

Please have a look through my transcript back page. It shows my graduating class, the exact cgpa I finished with, the grading scale my school uses etc.

I'll greatly appreciate all the help I can get to overcome this. Thank you
And I'm sorry for the lengthy write-up.

Admission is Ongoing at EMU

Interested in Studying at Eastern Mediterranean University? due to the pandemic, the initial payment has been slashed to 500$ and also we have just concluded rectorship election at EMU. The university will be opening new departments/programs in Artificial intelligence Engineering, Water Process Engineering, Smart and Advanced Agricultural Sci/eng etc.

If you are interested to study and carry out research in Sensor development for rapid detection of virus/bacteria, Energy storage devices like battery development and supercapacitor, Solar energy conversion, Pollution monitoring with AI-enabled devices, air and water pollution control, material synthesis for biomedical applications, Machine learning for various applications (health, waste prediction, econs etc).........kindly contact me ( I am a professor at EMU working in these research areas).

Benefits of Developing Academic and Industrial Demand Research Skills:

Learning and developing research skills is something that is lost in many educational systems. In fact, the majority of the students are only interested in getting the best grades and do much cramming at times to achieve this without actually developing unique or demanding skills. Hence, turn out to have an unattractive CV or non-competitive profile. After graduation, moving from one country to work elsewhere or even starting a job in the same country will require sound, currently/emerging skills well-spelt in the applicant CV/resume.

So after spending 40,000 British pounds to get 2nd class honour degree in Electrical Engineering or in Business administration.....so do you have some demanding skills, needed experience in your CV/resume or you have the same regular CV like others and just emphasizing on the fact that you graduated with CGPA of 4.999.

Employers (either business organization, industries or academics) love research skills. Research is an important part of a business because it helps an organization keep up with changing technologies, develop new products, get better at what they do, keep an eye on its competitors etc. Irrespective of the country, university or language you studied, a competitive profile is largely favoured and in-demand these days

----With sound research skills, you may be developing your own product which investor can put money, you be solving challenges that craft income also for you and many other benefits.

How can you demonstrate your research skills or the unique experience?

In many cases, your CV is your chance to make a first, strong and competitive impression. Your CV will help employers check you’ve got the right skills and experience. If they can see you’ve got them, it’s likely you’ll get to the next stage.

As a student, you can demonstrate either of these or combination via:

--Your research publication in a reputable journal (very important because its peer-reviewed)
--Your dissertation/project/thesis (if published and easily accessible)
--Personal and accessible webpages linking to your profile showing the skills.

Is it enough to claim you have python, C# or Machine learning Skills in your CV?

Various students/persons fill skills they don't have in their CV or skills they have just less than 2% knowledge of. Therefore, if you are claiming to have machine learning or AI (artificial intelligence skills), market/economics forecasting skills, or sound with device development or software development or as strong crisis mitigator............you have to point to the actual project you have completed with these skills rather than just filling " I have significant knowledge of Machine learning" ..............Rather, you have to point to the verifiable projects you have done with such skills.

Is research just for a graduate student?

No. research is for all categories of students be it undergraduate, graduate-level or post-graduate students.

Are there benefits to research at EMU?

Apart from the above listed;

--EMU pays as much as nearly 1000$ per the research paper you published in a reputable journal (accessible by all level of students)

---Turkish government pay as much as 2200$ per the same paper.

----Meaning that researcher may get as much as EMU+ Turkish government payment per research paper.

----With good research skills, you stand a great chance to get further funding from the government and other funders.

---You stand a chance to pitch your products to the world via the Teknorpaks and start-ups events.

Are there limits? no limits irrespective of the department and it's payable as soon as they verified the paper in the WEB OF SCIENCE platform.

WIP7: I have published over 50 research articles, have benefited from the Turkish government 1 million Turkish Lira (nearly 56 million naira) TUBITAK funding, Green brain project funding, have two lab ready-products (glucose sensors under evaluation for markets). Supervised 10 PhD students currently and numbers of masters and undergraduate students.

Education should focus on the enhancement of skills, knowledge and experience!

The current challenge you're facing regarding travelling is also the same thing I'm facing. embarassed . Unless you have relative or family that can do it on your behalf and I'm not even certain if that is possible.
The rate for the translation is 2000 per page for academic documents and 1500 for birth certificate. It's a fixed price grin
Wow! That's a serious one. What will man do now wen d time comes. I have noone in abj. Can I get your contact pls or probably I send mine
Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Modella44(f): 11:46pm On May 21, 2020
amikable97:

Yes it can only be done in Abuja, I think I received it exactly a week after the deadline. I'd send you the contact is the translator via email

I'm really sorry for bugging you with too many questions. Must I go to Abuja in person? (asides Corona factor), or I could scan and send the documents? How much is the translation done?
Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Modella44(f): 11:41pm On May 21, 2020
amikable97:

Yeah go ahead and apply there's still time, the thing is you will get admission once you meet up with the requirements.
The next thing that comes after admission letter is translation of your documents to Italian followed by authentication of your documents at the ministry of education and foreign affairs then you proceed to do your Pre-enrollment at the embassy(for now the embassy is not open yet). The DOV (declaration of value) is issued by the embassy don't worry about that now.
It's a long journey so be mentally prepared grin

I pray I get admitted cz I studied animal production and health. The animal Care program Padua offers is in Italian. If not, I would have preferred it. But all the same, I pray I get admitted for SA. How long did it take for your admission process?
Where can I do the translation pls? Also, is it true that the authentication can only be done at the ministry of education in Abuja? Cz I'm so far from Abuja.

In what area do you want me to help?
Thanks for replying. Will I still meet up if I'm just applying now?
Also, I've read series of threads on nairaland on procedures for applying to study in Italy but I don't seem to understand the whole preenrollment, Dov, this and that. Sincerely, I'm lost.
After applying and hopefully getting admitted, what's next?

Yes I have paid the first installment (I got admission). The program I applied for is Sustainable Agriculture
Hello Amikable, please I'm trying to follow you in order to send you a pm but can't seem to understand it. I'm about applying for the same course sustainable Agriculture at University of Padua, but I need your guidance. Application is still open, but I'm not sure if it's still a reasonable decision at this time. What do you advise please. Thank you
