Since its optional for govt officials to declare their assets publicly,I woud suggest to the masses to demand that persons standing for election should declare their assets publicly before they start campaigning for votes.

No asset declaration, don't open ur mouth to tell us to vote for u.

Tell us how much u are worth and what ur assets and liabilities are.....let the appropriate anti-corruption agencies (EFCC and ICPC) investigate their claims.

Lets begin to hold these peoole who represent and govern us accountable, cos once they enter office, they start acting anyhow.

We want people of integrity to govern and represent us and how best to begin but to have those asking for our votes to tell us how much they are worth and what their liabilites and assets are.

Comments like this make me wonder if our country has a future where people would be take action or make a call for actions to be taken towards put things in place to avoid such occurances rather than calling on God in every and any situation.

This is a very simple matter, the system has failed; the relevant bodies who ought to be proactive in dealing with such situations (tanker explosion, container falling on smaller cars on the road, avoidable accidents) have all going to sleep, turning into govt agencies that only pay workers for doing virtually nothing every month.

Where is the FRSC, NPF, NSCDC, e.t.c?

In this country where I live, in the almost three years I'v been here, I haven't seen or heard of a tanker explosion or a container falling on cars, accidents rarely happen (and even if they do its always scratch-my-motor type of accident); never seen acxidents claiming lives here. And that us because their system works, security power, everything!

Instead of calling these organisations to be alive their duties, u are calling God?!!!

I feel sorry for my country wen I see our youth not thinking in the right direction.

We should be more concerned about what stringent safety measures that should be put in place and enforced to curtail similar occurrence from happening rather than focusing on how some supernatural being helped the dude escape unscathed in the accident.
