So you want the US to continue spending money on a war that Ukraine won't win and will result in more killings?? So Trump is a dictator for not wanting to spend more money. Ok I am not sure you understand what transpired. In 1994, Ukraine agreed to transfer its nuclear weapons to Russia for dismantlement and joined the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. In return, it would receive economic compensation and security assurances from Russia, the United States, and the United Kingdom to uphold its independence and sovereignty. Yorubas are never cowards.. never ever will Yorubas become slaves to North. People often label the Yorubas as cowards and claim they are fearful. However, when you examine the top 15 freedom fighters and those who challenged and fought against the military government in Nigeria, 10 of them are Yorubas. Irony1: i think we are both misunderstanding ourselves, i am also criticising the opaque nature of NNPC details i also support your stand that anyone saying Dangote refinery is not functioning is lying. Ohhh, I get your point bro. In my opinion, which might be wrong, I just believe some individuals do not want any of the refineries to function, and even if it functions in full capacity, they still want to import for their own selfish reasons. You are right though, so many things do not add up with NNPC. |
Politics › Re: 136.7m Litres Of Petrol Imported In One Day – Daily Trust by mofedamijo(m): 11:56am On Feb 12, 2025 |
Irony1: Heeyyyyy hold one there before you start saying rubbish. The importation is due to several reasons, it could be that the quality produced by Dangote can be bought to be blended in their facility. The issue here is the opaque nature of NNPC's dealing with respect to importation. How do you justify this that we have 30million liters per day demand currently and assuming Dangote fulfils one quarter of the demand, it doesn't justify the huge volumes NNPC is importing. You just spewed some nonsensical bullshit. My point was to correct the illusion that Dangote refinery is not functioning. I am not here to debate how many liters it produces. NNPC has never been honest, and I am not here to discuss that. My point is why would anyone think a business man who has built the largest refinery in Africa will lie about such magnanimous project. The international community would have called his bluff if he was lying. If they can export 130 million liters to Saudi Aramco, then they can meet demands. Dangote is selling to those who are willing to buy. If NNPC wants to source petrol from hell, thats their business, but for someone to blatantly say Dangote Refinery is not functioning is a sign of a dead brain. |
Politics › Re: 136.7m Litres Of Petrol Imported In One Day – Daily Trust by mofedamijo(m): 10:42am On Feb 12, 2025 |
iwaeda: And they keep deceiving you that Warri, Port-Harcourt and Dangote are running. We love lies more than truth. What a nation. 136.7m liters imported in a day. In February 2025, the Dangote refinery exported two cargos of jet fuel to Saudi Aramco. The consignment was about 130 million liters. And you think the Saudi Aramco would have bought jet fuel from Dangote if it wasn't functioning. Even countries with the biggest refineries still import fuel. The United States has the largest refineries in the world, but still imports petroleum, including crude oil, gasoline, and diesel, from many countries, including Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Brazil. Just because NNPC imports doesn't mean Dangote Refinery is not working. |

descarado: I attended a southern african church last 2 weeks. No shouting, screaming, falling by anointing. Infact, no drama. More praise and the preaching was godly living. Guess what, no offering. But they pay tithe. Everybody including the pastor is working.
Pastor came down from the pulpit, very close to the congregation and was speaking like a therapist. It was like group discussion. My head was just spinning. Can this happen in naija where narcissism reign supreme?
The pastors wife is my colleague and friend. Not until I attended the church after years of invitation that I knew she is the pastors wife. Called her mummy G.O. She asked me with all seriousness what that means. Lol. I have traveled the entire Southern Africa, and yes it depends on where you find yourself, same with Nigeria. Southern African churches are actually worse in things like this. ZCC, Zionist or Jericho churches in Swaziland/South Africa and Zimbabwe, my brother, you will run out of the church. It just depends on which part of the country you worship. Southern African churches are actually more scary than Nigeria. |
Politics › Re: Bauchi Govt Budgets ₦400 Million To Procure 6 Computers by mofedamijo(m): 6:16pm On Jan 09, 2025 |
Nigerians tend to focus heavily on the Presidency, overlooking the significant issues within State and Local governments, which contribute greatly to the country's challenges.
There is a pervasive issue of ghost workers at the State and Local levels, with certain individuals profiting from this practice, thereby exacerbating unemployment. Yet, the attention remains fixated on the Presidency.
Addressing the corruption and inefficiencies at these levels of government is urgent and crucial.
However, Nigeria's deeply tribal nature complicates efforts for accountability. If the Presidency were to investigate issues within states, many Nigerians would likely resist, defending their local governments despite clear mismanagement. For instance, in Bauchi, people may continue to support their government even if it's found that they purchased a pen for a million naira. |

But the reality here is that if your company isn't taking staff welfare seriously but has millions to throw on parties, it means you have a weak HR department. Cos those events are mainly organized by the HR unit.
It's up to other Heads of dependants and units to hold periodic meetings with them (HR) and discuss these events. No, the events are planned by the Corporates and PR team. It has nothing to do with HR. Oftentimes, it is the CEO/Boards that pushes this events to boost their very own ego. |

jazzman7711: Shut up there.
Germany’s annual budget is $2 trillion, while Nigeria’s is $40 billion.
Nigeria is a developing country like 80% of countries on Earth.
Building modern infrastructure on such a low budget is commendable and should be applauded.
You are not Germany. Ok?
The problem with you Nigerians is that you never travel to the REAL WORLD that comprises the 202 countries minus the less than 10 to 15 “advanced countries”.
So you end up STUPIDLY comparing Nigeria to “Germany”, “USA”, “France”, “Italy”, “UK”, “Dubai”, “Singapore”, COMPLETELY ignorant about how most of them acquired their wealth.
How many countries they invaded and slaughtered and looted for centuries.
No.
“Germany” is like this, so why is Nigeria not like that?
Totally shallow.
Tomorrow you will say you went to school.
YOU PEOPLE SHOULD START TRAVELLING TO THE REAL WORLD. From Cuba to India. From Jamaica to Honduras. From Brazil to Senegal. From Trinidad to Bolivia. From Mexico to Zimbabwe. From Angola to Sri Lanka. From Tanzania to Egypt. From Mongolia to Suriname. From Argentina to Colombia. From Gabon to Rwanda. From Madagascar to Myanmar. From Peru to Venezuela, and from Mozambique to Tanzania.
THEN you will know that Nigeria is not unique in having developmental issues. That the overwhelming majority of countries have bad roads, power cuts, and corruption.
That the world is far more than “Germany”, “U.S.”, “UK”, and “Dubai”.
You will stop feeling so inadequate and disgruntled. Eish, you have time for these nitwits and dumb brains. I remember one idiot on this platform trying to compare Lagos to Newyork, forgetting that Newyorks 2024 budget was $229 billion, and Lagos got a budget of $3.3 billion. Considering they have almost the same population size, yet you expect Lagos to magically do better than Newyork. Like how..... Give Lagos the budget of Newyork and watch it become a first world city, now give Newyork Lagos budget and watch it became a slum city. |

KEVIND: Kudos to Tinubu but debt servicing is not the samea as debts repayment. Make the report more comprehensive. Its written there, learn to read. As a result of these repayments, Nigeria’s debt to the IMF has decreased significantly, dropping from $3.26bn as of June 2023 to $1.16bn by June 2024. This reflects a substantial reduction of 64.42 per cent within one year. It was earlier reported that the current administration of President Bola Tinubu is expected to pay off a $3.4bn owed to the International Monetary Fund during his tenure. |
